Extra's: The best extra was the sheer fact that this was a director's cut with a lot of extra footage included in the main feature. Sometimes it's easy to overlook that fact when reviewing but I know consumers routinely admire Evil Angel's willingness to add in such footage to their releases. The other extras were less thrilling and included the usual photogallery, filmographies and cast list, John Leslie biography, trailers, cumshot recap, and a commercial for the John Leslie Blues Band.

Audio/Video Quality: Gobble the Goop was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color that most Evil Angel releases are shot in. The lighting was fairly basic although not perfect so there were some shadows and grain to contend with but the colors were accurate most of the time and the other visual aspects handled well enough. The composition of the shots was designed to minimize the amount of time a man's face was in the various scenes and many of you will appreciate that fact. There were no noticeable compression artifacts present and it looked very much like a John Leslie release. The audio was presented in the usual stereo English with a bit of bluesy music at the beginning of the movie. Otherwise, the vocals varied a bit so that you could sometimes hear the cast better than others. I didn't care for the director's comments telling the women what to do all the time but it was less pronounced than in many of his recent releases so I'll cut the guy a break this time.

Body of Review: As other, newer blood, directors begin working at Evil Angel, there has been some concern over when the more established characters would be phased out. Already, Randy West has left (mainly due to DVD rights being held by New Machine) and I've noticed that porn legend John Leslie seems to be making less movies than he used to (at least it seems that way). Will he be next to rest on his laurels and move on? I can't say for sure but he's not getting any younger and with so many non-porn projects in the works, it may soon be time for him to pick what he wants to do rather than spread himself too thinly. In any case, his latest project for Evil Angel is an oral only release much in line with their Feeding Frenzy series called Gobble the Goop. While he isn't as talented at gonzo as Jules, he proves yet again that he has the right stuff to succeed (or is that "suck seed"?) at directing a focused release. In the show, there were seven scenes of gals putting their mouth where their money maker could've been and draining a bunch of guys dry before swallowing their ejaculate down. Scene One: Crystal, a cute little gal wearing a pink see through top, black hot pants and fishnet stockings with fetish stripper boots, began the show with a bit of tease footage beside an outdoor pool in the morning sun. She's the gal in the middle of the bottom of the front DVD cover but what her picture doesn't tell you is how good she can be with dirty talk. The camera angles employed here were used to minimize the time spent on the men (other than their dicks) and she slobbed the knobs of all concerned with a fair amount of energy and passion. Scene Two: Brandi, a gal that'd fit right in as a receptionist or creative director at most L.A. law firms (due to her cold demeanor), was up next in the show. Thankfully, she had some nice red lingerie underneath it all and a lean body to tease the camera, and home viewer, with. To be up front about this scene, the gals looked appealing but lacked the energy required to pull it off; they did appear to work well together in the lesbian scene though. Perhaps their passion for pussy overrode their ability to convincingly get me excited in this type of movie but they did swallow so I guess fans of theirs won't mind.

Scene Five: Keri, the attractive blonde located on the lower right hand side of the front DVD cover, wore the same black & blue outfit their as in her scene. Her ass looked great and I really wanted to see it get a workout other than the fingering she gave herself by the bar of the house. Her nipples never went down and her sultry look really worked here so I was hopeful that the oral parts of the scene would be just as heated. The guys fingered her a little bit but the majority of the action centered on the oral with John and Anthony being the best of the four thrill seekers at work here. She didn't swallow every drop but she did get most of it down her lovely throat in this solid scene.

Scene Six: Sativa, a brunette that I've found to be a great performer in some recent releases, wore the same black outfit on the cover (lower left hand side) as in the show. Having watched her in action, I knew she'd be great and the tease footage on the balcony outdoors proved her seduction skills were in working order before she went inside to inhale plenty of cock for the scene. She had three partners but managed to give the fan something extra by allowing them to titty fuck her too. For the vast majority of the scene, she appeared lost in heaven with all that cock hovering around and she swallowed with the best of them at the end. Whew!

Scene Seven: Marie, the sole black gal of the show could be seen on the front DVD cover in the lower middle, just above Sativa. Summary: Gobble the Goop had some very heated scenes and a lovely cast of gals that could suck the chrome off a trailer hitch were they so inclined. They all gobbled the goop too so there was a lot of truth in advertising as well and I think this director's cut was worth a rating of Recommended for all the fuck for the buck it contained. It was a bit too limited for my tastes and the passion wasn't as solid as the Feeding Frenzy series but it did show that John isn't ready to be put out to pasture and maybe this one will silence his critics.
