Extra's: The best extra by most standards would be the 20.5 minute long bonus scene from Naughty College School Girls 34 between Roxy Sweet and Mr. Pete. She's a moderately attractive blonde with great green eyes and decent sexual skills. I liked the scene although current reports suggest the actual DVD was only worth a rental. An interesting extra was a 3 track CD sampler for the group Hiwatts who's lead is best known for his work with the group Candlebox. The music wasn't really great but it was far better than what you'd get from a porno so enjoy if you get the DVD set. I also enjoyed watching the 14 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Brother Love since it had plenty of sex, nudity, and playful antics. The other extras included the usual trailers, a photogallery, an extended fetish menu (called "pick your pleasure", and a double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Bottoms Up! was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color that most porn is shot in. In most ways, it looked very similar to the standard releases by New Sensations although it had slightly better color accuracy, good lighting most of the time, and interesting camera angles in a few scenes. There were moments when I thought a bit less style would've helped but I recognize that some of you prefer your porn that way so I'm not going to whine too much about it. There were no observed compression artifacts and the video noise was minimal too so the visual aspects of the movie won't be a problem if you like the cast. The stereo English audio was a bit loud on the music, which thankfully turned off once the sex started, and too hollow on the vocals (I'm guessing no boom mike was used although a few of you notice those more than I usually do and will surely tell me if you see one bouncing into the frame for a millisecond) but it wasn't a big factor up or down either.

Body of Review: Established companies often work out deals to keep employees happy by initiating a fledgling sister company to keep directors or performers with them. I believe this was the case with last year's start up company Hot Boxxx with parent company New Sensations using it to market to a bit different audience, adding a rock & roll twist to address some of the basics a bit better than they have done in the past. Director Tyrone Shuz was at the helm of their first release, Bottoms Up!, a set of five scenes with lean, attractive brunettes all doing anal. Fans of rock & roll will be happy to know that a mainstream music CS was included (well, a sampler at least) and with that said, here's a look at the scenes by cast and actions, noting that they were often very similar, following a formula set forth by the powers that be:

Scene One: Tory, a foxy little brunette wearing pink & black lingerie, was first up in a scene with Pete. Setting the stage for a movie can be a tough thing with a lot of pressure but her tease was nicely done and the slow striptease action worked better for me than most releases from Digital Sin/New Sensations have in the past. I enjoyed the camera angles and the clarity was solid most of the time, lending itself to the action. I was also glad the music stopped when the sex began as it was distracting for me (and I'm an old school rocker). The sex was energetic and heated between the two with an ample amount of chemistry (as displayed on the BTS feature too) so it should come as no surprise that the oral, vaginal, anal action were all well done. Her dirty talk also contributed to the heat and fans of facials will like how large a load he deposited on her face.

Scene Two: Isabel, another cutie with a leaner but still pleasant body, started off her scene wearing a black negligee and masturbating while Brian watched her. Her ass was exceptionally appealing and the ladies will be happy that he was looking buffer than ever for the scene. They started right in on the boning after the music died down but picked up the oral and other foreplay type stuff afterwards. I was surprised that she didn't get rug burns the way they went at one another and it ended with a splooge onto a glass table that she licked up after pushing it out of her ass (it was an anal creampie scene, not a facial as advertised; though I don't think circus act sex fans will mind one bit).

Scene Three: Jasmine, the hotty on the front DVD cover, is still fairly new to porn but she has displayed some nice moves in the limited scenes I've watched her in. Fans of Asian gals with all natural breasts and curvy asses will enjoy her work as much as Ben did in the scene. Her red dress didn't stay on her body very long and she really seemed into the oral action; giving him a decent blowjob. I didn't really care for the way she kept looking at the camera though (some of you will like it, I'm sure) so your mileage will vary. He was a bit rough with her at times and the gagging was hit or miss yet when they went to screwing, each seemed to be on the same page. The anal was the best since it didn't look like she was overly experienced and it did end in the advertised facial. In all, it was a good scene and I'm not exactly her biggest fan.

Scene Four: Tiffany, an average looking gal with huge nipple erections, wore a pink fishnet top and a white thong as she teased and masturbated while sitting on a couch. Mark was her partner and the two shared the least amount of chemistry in the entire cast but it wasn't a terrible scene. She mechanically took his penis in each hole and let him do all the work in the anal portion of the scene so if that's enough for you; the scene will be even better by those meager standards. If you happen to pick the DVD up, take a close look at this scene and compare it to any of the others; the difference between them will be striking on most levels. For the record, it ended when he jerked off to her ass rather than the advertised facial.

Scene Five: Arcadia, yet another very lean cutie with an all natural body, started off her scene by masturbating on and around a window sill while wearing a white crop top shirt and matching panties as Pete watched her from across the room. The scene was advertised as her first anal ever although she made it sound like she's done it before elsewhere in the BTS feature. I'm not fixated on the Asian sex worker look as some of you are but she proved her worth to the show by giving 110% from the oral to the vaginal to the pounding anal. Her anal didn't last as long as the others and it wasn't as heated but she did a good job and the two shared some measure of chemistry together, making it a solid scene.

Summary: Bottoms Up! was a lot more fun to watch than I thought it would be given the dearth of press releases by the company. Maybe they want to keep the company a secret until it releases some specific killer project but other than a few discrepancies with the advertised "all facials", the action was well done in most ways and true to the stated cover. The gals were worth mentioning too; if you like the lean, youthful look, you're going to like most, if not all, of them. Further, the overall quality of the DVD earned it a rating of Recommended with a slight leaning towards an even higher spot (if you are a fan of the cast, add a rating level). I hope Hot Boxxx succeeds in whatever niche they're trying to carve out in the already crowded porn market and with this first offering being so strong, they just might do it.
