Extra's: Unlike most Hustler Video releases, this DVD had some very solid extras going for it. The first extra was a 9.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature that seemed more about putting on make up than anything else. This was followed by a very interesting series of solo masturbation scenes that added up to 20 minutes and a 16.4 minute set of interviews by the cast (keeping in mind that their English language skills were limited). There was also a set of photoshoots lasting a bit over 13 minutes, a photogallery, some trailers, and some spam.

Audio/Video Quality: Riding the Curves was presented in non-anamorphic widescreen color although it looked cropped from an actual full frame presentation. Regardless, the colors seemed fairly accurate throughout the show and other than some weak lighting in a couple of scenes, the picture wasn't bad. The camera angles were complimentary to the cast and the composition of most shots seemed to have some care put into them although it certainly wasn't the best I've seen from Hustler of late. There were some occasional compression artifacts and video noise but they didn't get in the way too often so fans needn't worry about them. The audio was presented in stereo although the separation of the channels wasn't very noticeable and the dynamic range seemed limited (both the vocals and the music for that matter).

Body of Review: Hustler has long been a driving force in providing adult entertainment in the USA, no matter what the laws have been or what format said entertainment took. These days, the emphasis of the company seems to be on releasing ever increasing numbers of movies on DVDs from a variety of sources. Some of those sources are domestic but more are foreign based these days, something I attribute to the large numbers of beautiful women found in the European nations willing to do anything sexually they're asked to do, if the price is right (and the price is typically far lower over there than here; talk about farming out jobs overseas…). The latest foreign Hustler release is Riding the Curves by performer turned director Denis Marti. In the five vignettes, Denis shows a variety of gals having hardcore gonzo sex with many doing anal. While the premise was a bit generic, some of the scenes were pretty well made so here's a look if you're still interested:

Scene One: Debbie, a busty brunette with some nice teasing moves, began the show in her second scene ever, taking on director Denis. Her pantiless silk stockings and sheer top made her look all the more appealing to him as he got out of the pool to have a snack of her crack on a bench. He gave her the hot, high one before she reciprocated orally with some PTM action and a titty fuck that showed some talent for milking a nut before they did more vaginal sex. This warmed her up for the anal that took her a bit of getting used to but she kept her stripper shoes on and managed to show some heat, if limited amounts of chemistry, throughout the action. It ended when she did some ATM and he blew his load onto her mouth and chest.

Scene Two: Sandra, a slightly more appealing blonde, wore a yellow bikini as she pranced around a large house; with plenty of butt munch action as she teased the camera. While her curves had some jiggle to them, they looked good from a guy's point of view and the bending over material was pretty hot. Tristan seemed to agree with my assessment as he played with her ass, spanking it and rubbing his penis along her ass crack before the real fun began. They did all the usual oral, vaginal, and anal with PTM and ATM but the chemistry between the two was noteworthy with the slowly building energy managing to set this scene apart from some of the others. Whew!

Scene Three: Lucy, a gal that looked much like legendary Rita Faltoyano, Claudia, a gal with big hips and a lovely face, and the hotty from the front DVD cover, Veronica D., were up first as Veronica took charge of them on the bench. Jazz came up behind them and started sucking ass with Denis joining the group afterwards. With some minor foot play, the oral antics continued before the group got down to business but doing vaginal and anal sex with a DP for good measure. There was also plenty of taste testing with the gals watching out for their own during the heated strokes taking place. Each gal contributed something different to the scene and there was a fair amount of heat with some chemistry between them as well.

Scene Four: Victoria, a brunette with a curved ass and pleasant face, followed the formula by providing some solid tease footage that focused on displaying that ass on the porch. This scene was billed as her first anal and while the anal was decent, the rest of the scene was what made it fun to watch. Her playfulness with Lauro was exceptional and the manner in which she gave it all up for the camera seemed to go a bit beyond what she felt comfortable. She managed to seduce both him and the camera with splendid results in terms of visual heat.

Scene Five: Veronica V., a gal that looked like the lead singer to the pop group Roxette with her closely cropped blonde hair (a look I hate by the way), swam around a small pool as part of her scene's tease footage. I have to admit that her body was very sweet to look at but the creepy hair and her diminished facial attractiveness bore into me even as she put on her lovely mesh stockings and shoes. Her partner was Denis and sexually, they did the oral with straight vaginal plowing but due to her look she simply didn't appeal to me as being anything more than a filler gal. A friend that watched it with me thinks she was slightly more talented than I give her credit for but she let him do most of the work and that worked against her even more than the hair issue.

Summary: Riding the Curves wasn't a great porno but it did have enough warmth to rate it as a Rent It or better if you like the cast. The tease footage wasn't the best on the market but it certainly wasn't poorly done and the gals were almost all visually appealing to me. The technical matters combined with some good extras also helped make this more than just another title tossed on the market so if you enjoy watching the European brunette in her natural habitat, consider that this one was pretty good (falling just short of the next higher rating).
