Extra's: The best extra was the inclusion of 15.5 minutes of Behind the Scenes footage that had most of the cast enjoying the rigors of sex under the direction of Joey Silvera. It wasn't the best BTS feature I've ever seen but it certainly was hardcore enough for me to think the footage might've been better off kept in the feature. The other extras were the usual filmography, cast list and photogallery as well as the pop shot recap from the scenes and a coupon for a discount to the Fashionistas Las Vegas show.

Audio/Video Quality: Hellcats 6: Special Edition was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as most porn is shot these days. Unlike many of Joey's other releases, the lighting was pretty solid, making the color over saturation and grain problems of the past less prominent (it looked pretty good) and the heated performances kept me from noticing the minor details most of the time; always a good sign that a movie's raw energy is great. The audio was presented in the usual stereo English but the separation between the channels and the dynamic range were limited so I can't say that the audio was a feature that added a lot of value to the DVD.

Body of Review: Director Joey Silvera has it pretty good these days as Evil Angels' most diverse (some would perverse) director. I remember a long time ago when he was just another meat puppet with a sense of humor and his personal growth to include the ability to translate raw energy into heated performances is well known by the rest of the industry. I haven't seen half his films but aside from the genres I really have no interest in (think tranny porn), I can't deny that his critics tend to be full of hot air. His latest release for Evil Angel is Hellcats 6: Special Edition, the sequel to Hellcats 5, a very good movie itself. If you're asking whether or not Joey outdid himself, if he found as good a cast, and if he provided as much fuck for the buck; you'll be happy to know that he certainly provided all that and more. The scenes were almost all well done and a few of them were fantastic! Here's a quick look at the scenes with a breakdown of what took place, noting that the energy levels and passion were often off the charts:

Scene One: Lauren, the award winning redhead in the upper left hand corner of the front DVD cover, and Sandra, the brunette hotty standing above her there, began the scene by spanking one another. Considering that each had a great ass and was wearing a hot outfit, you can count on doing some spanking of your own but Nat joined them soon after and it kept getting better. The dirty talk, heated oral, vaginal (with PTM) and the anal pounding he gave them (with too much ATM for my tastes) all combined with their energy and passion to make this scene a very hot one to repeatedly enjoy.

Scene Two: Christie, the cutie in the lower right hand corner of the front DVD cover, wore a school girl outfit with black PVC corset as she smoked a cigarette and teased the camera outside of a large mansion. Rick and Raymond, admittedly a couple of the geekier guys in porn these days, came into the picture when she took charge of them; tying a shoe into their mouths before putting them to work. They then went inside and she gave each some fine oral loving on the staircase before they took turns screwing her pussy and ass in various positions. While I really liked the previous scene, Christie kept up the energy throughout the scene in a manner that proved even stronger; no small feat I might add. Like most of Joey's releases, they popped off on her face (and she sucked them clean after that) but the pop shots were anticlimactic given the strength of her performance. Whew!

Scene Three: Poppy, the red head on the far right hand side of the front DVD cover, and Barbara, the bleached blonde in the middle of the lower front cover, were joined by muscular Joachim and studly Brian for the next scene; an interracial boning. The gals did some fine oral although I'd be lying if I said it was as solid as the previous two scenes but it was a good exercise in warming up the old meat poles. From there, the gals paired off with the men and seemed to have a virtual fucking competition to see who could show more passion. In this case, Poppy won readily and that was why she then did a lot of anal with a DP and ATM (Barbara assisted though). Barbara also got in on the action but she wasn't as heated, however good, and the scene dragged a bit during the latter part with her in the spotlight.

Scene Four: Holly, the blonde gal with an ample chest on the upper right hand side of the front DVD cover, and Nat, who was hovering over her, did a role reversal and had her in a prison outfit with handcuffs on with him as the jailer. His jailhouse tattoos made me believe he'd know a lot more about jail than I would so I guess Joey could be said to have a great consultant for the scene. She gave him a good blowjob to get him ready for some action (it lasted forever) and the vaginal was okay. There was anal but he did all the work and that lowered the heat for me. There was ATM and she cleaned him off orally at the end in this something of a filler scene.

Scene Five: Kat, a skinny Asian 18 year old with braces that was prominently displayed on the lower left hand corner of the front DVD cover, was up last in a tribute to slutty teenagers everywhere. I've been seeing a lot of her lately and while she almost always gives solid performances, she's an acquired taste that I simply haven't acquired. If you like her look, her performances will suit you just fine and she began this one by smoking and dominating Richard (Kelly Kline's husband). Trent and Rick joined in after she jerked Rich off a little and the scene had her slobbing all their knobs a lot. They progressed to using her like a cock socket in her pussy and ass (as well as her mouth); eventually taking a DP with a fair amount of energy. In all, I still didn't become a fan but can understand why others have done so.

Summary: Hellcats 6: Special Edition was easily worth a rating of Highly Recommended due to the great cast, the heated and energetic performances, and the sheer amount of fuck for the buck. The flaws were minor and the positive aspects far outweighed them so fan of Joey or not, you'll like this release if you enjoy gonzo, over the top, porn. I noticed that Joey didn't speak as much this time (a good thing by the way) and mostly let the cast have at one another, which gave a more spontaneous feel that translated into making it better than I thought it would be. I'm not sure if I found this his best work to date but it was right up there if it wasn't. Good work Silvera!
