Extra's: The extras were again the standard package that Private offers; some trailers, a photogallery, some fictional biographies of the women performers, various languages for fans around the world to enjoy the show, and a few production notes that outlined the cast and details of the scenes. To be up front, I expect better extras from a DVD these days but the amount of footage in the feature itself was enough to make me not care much about the extras as much.

Audio/Video Quality: Anal Madness: The Best of Private 65 was presented in the usual variety of aspect ratios with the scenes keeping whatever they originally were presented in from what I could tell. Sadly, as good as the initial scenes looked, the DVD had come off the spindle in its case and the scratches seem to have impacted how well it played. After the first three scenes, it simply locked up and stopped playing; upon which time I took a close look at the DVD and found it to be separating at the layers (I haven't had that happen in over 7000 discs so far). As such, I'd strongly suggest renting this if you absolutely have to see the scenes since quality control measures generally catch this kind of thing well after many discs become affected.

Body of Review: Private has long been one of the dominant producers in the porn world, offering up a plethora of pussy in a great many forms. One area in which the company tends to really shine (outside their blockbuster features) is with their compilations. Taken from the vast archives at Private, the compilations have tremendous fuck for the buck in most cases and therefore are among my first picks when it comes time to review them these days. One of the better thematic approaches in this vein are the Best of Private series that I see once in a while. The latest volume of the series is Anal Madness: The Best of Private 65 which had an anal theme (duh!). Unfortunately, a defective disc prevented me from completely watching all the scenes so until I either get a replacement or some indication that my copy was a fluke, I'll have to suggest you skip my review as well as this disc (I'll update my review if I get another copy). Here's a cast list and some data from the production notes just the same though:

Scene One: Sluts in the Sun: D-Tony De Sergio & Steve Hooper: 6/2003: Monica Sweetheart, one of the most attractive gals ever to work for Private, began the scene dressed in a towel, yellow bikini bottom, and short white top as Tony De Sergio and Steve Hooper coaxed her into masturbating for them on the wooden deck of a nice house. She was nearly bald (down there) and it wasn't long before they were sucking and fucking with all the nice scenery about. It ended with the usual pop shots but most of you will want to know how well she took the DP (very well indeed), even if her energy was a little light this time.

Scene Two: Trust No One: D-Susi Medusa Gottardi: 4/2003: Sarah O'Neil, a lusty brunette with an open ass, began her scene by masturbating with a black dildo up her ass. Her partner in the scene was Gabriel Montoya, an old guy with an average sized penis, but she proved she was professional enough to work with him, even carrying the scene in terms of energy and heat (he did little for the scene). Her best moments were in reverse cowgirl anal as they did it all in front of a slowly dying fire(place) on the floor.

Scene Three: Alpine Sex: D-Jean Yves LeCastel: 3/2002: Patricia Diamond and Kyra, a nice mix of brunette and platinum blonde, were in the following scene with Choky Ice as the gals received skiing lessons from him. Needless to say, after a few falls, it didn't take much to convince them that a few sex lessons would be a favorable alternative with some awesome scenery in the snow covered slopes. The sex was kind of mechanical at times but each gal at least gave a passing performance with the oral and anal; as fake as it sometimes seemed.

Scene Four: The Tower: D-Pierre Woodman: 11/1994: Channone, Monikat, Jean Yves LeCastel, and Stan were reportedly in this scene but the DVD was scratched and my players wouldn't play past this point.

Scene Five: A Woman's Ass Is A Beautiful Thing: D-Skeeter Kerkove: 11/2003: Katsumi and Alex Sanders probably had a solid scene given their usual heat. Katsumi was the gal on the front cover.

Scene Six: Snowsluts: D-Gazzman: 3/2003 to 4/2003: "Jane Darling, Lea DeMae, Micky Blue, and Ramon Nomar were up next in this tribute to snow sports. The sex started out on the deck of a nice chalet in a very cold looking climate as the foursome got into one another quite nicely, initially as couples but later as a mini-orgy. They took the action inside and fucked like bunnies with an emphasis on anal sex in this fair scene. Lea has looked much better elsewhere but neither of them looked bad in this fairly warm scene."

Scene Seven: Reality 24: Sex Addicts: D-Xavi Dominguez: 6/2003: "Janet, Silvia, and Andrea had a scene that thankfully lasted longer than average here. The two gals took on the male reporter in widescreen with what appeared to be a red filter and the action was pretty hot. There was oral, vaginal and even anal as the gals licked him clean several times (primarily ATM). This was the best scene by far with lots of chemistry, even if the technical stuff kind of sucked (that's a pun only those who've seen it will truly appreciate)."

Scene Eight: Anal Revenge: D-Jean Yves LeCastel: 6/2000: Dita and David Perry were listed for this scene that also wouldn't play.

Scene Nine: Profession: Porn Actress: D-Christoph Clark: 11/1997: Judith Grant and Jean Yves LeCastel were listed as the performers in this scene.

Summary: Anal Madness: The Best of Private 65 looked like it could've been a contender but the faulty disc prevented me from making that determination. Until I can find out what went wrong, I can only rate this one as a Skip It since my understanding of mass manufactured discs is that one bad disc is unlikely. If you have a place with liberal returns, you might risk it since the cast pairings seemed so strong but let the buyer beware!
