Extra's: Most of the wonderful extras were extra scenes with the three stars in them. As such, the extra scenes tended to last longer than the featured collections and were often better scenes in my opinion. Monique's extras also included her photosets, a list of her movies, a number of trailers, some production notes, and cast information. Bettina's extras were quite similar although she also gave an interview that was edited between the scenes and had a short featurette (as well as an Easter Egg masturbation scene). Wanda's extra's were also similar in that her Easter Egg scene was a full fledged sex scene with a few partners (although uncredited, it looked familiar), and I enjoyed her interview (the initial interview for the series with Monique sucked since it was written and sounded fake as heck; that's why I like live interviews so much more). In short, while the six discs contained a lot of sex scenes, they also had a lot of extras that added even more value to the set.

Audio/Video Quality: Private Lives 1 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color that many of the scenes were shot in but a number of them were presented in widescreen 1.78:1 too (it varied from scene to scene). Like the source material varied, so too did the quality of the shots; from their color accuracy to their clarity to the amount of grain and video noise on display. On average, the majority of scenes looked pretty good but if you're a fan of this hotty, you aren't going to find the scenes looking any better than here. The audio was typically presented in a stereo English fashion although many of the scenes were dubbed (badly) so don't buy this one to give your new home audio set up a test drive.

Body of Review: In recent years, Private has been nice enough to allow me to review a number of their excellent compilation series in the Private Life of line. While I wish I had access to all of them, the following titles gave me much pleasure and still serve as reference material for my reviews of Private's many other shows: Stacy Silver, Jessica May, Sandra Iron, Jodie Moore, Rita Faltoyano, Jane Darling, Kate More, and Michelle Wild. Now that the series has twenty compilations to its name, someone at Private made the wise choice of going one step further and combining some of the series into boxed sets. The first of these is Private Lives 1: Limited Edition Collector's Set a set of three titles from the Private Life of series, specifically, volumes 1, 4, and 6 (concentrating on Monique Covet, Bettina, and Wanda Curtis). The amount of fuck for the buck is off the scale here with blonde Monique's passion, black Bettina showing plenty of jungle love, and brunette Wanda giving some very heated performances throughout their multitude of sexual antics. While I might've preferred Private release the sets in order (set one would contain volumes 1, 2, and 3), there was certainly a diversity of sexual antics here and anyone into oral, vaginal, anal, DP, interracial, and kink will have more than enough stroke scenes to keep busy well into next year. That said, rather than provide a splooge by splooge virtual screenplay as many boring reviewers at other websites do, suffice it to say that the number of weaker scenes is easily covered by the better material, even though many of these scenes are older than I prefer (Private has some great titles in their back catalog but a number of them are less strong than current movies they've made). Summary: Private Lives 1: Limited Edition Collector's Setwas well worth a rating of Highly Recommended for anyone that enjoys hardcore foreign porn of all sorts. The show lasted me the better part of a day (and it was a long day at that) with some very well thought out extras complimenting the scenes included here. Each of the three leading ladies, Monique Covet, Bettina, and Wanda Curtis, had their own strengths and weaknesses but taken as a whole, you'd be hard pressed to fins as solid a value package as this one. If you want a lot of fuck for your hard earned buck, this should definitely be on your short list of titles to consider. I can also sum up the package in one word: Wow!
