Extra's: My favorite extra was the inclusion of a 16 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by former performer Tina Tyler, starring Malezia but also the cast and crew. They all seemed to have fun (except when Chi Chi was being a pain) and it added some value to the DVD for me. There were also five bonus scenes, three of which starred Malezia from last year, which many of you have come to appreciate from Vivid Entertainment. While I greatly prefer extras that are made solely for the DVD in hand, I can't deny that a lot of people will want the extra scenes if they haven't already seen them. There was also a biography for Malezia, a fetish menu, and two photogalleries to go along with the trailers and double sided DVD cover. Sadly, there was still the spam at the beginning of the DVD that no one likes.

Audio/Video Quality: Deep in Malezia was presented in non-anamorphic widescreen color with an approximate aspect ratio of 1.77:1. The biggest complaint I've had about Vivid's releases over the years has been the visual problems, typically relating to the DVD mastering process they seem to employ, and this was one time when they actually did a great job. The lighting appeared to be very solid, the levels of grain acceptable, and the amount of video noise barely worth noting, with no compression artifacts to bother me along the way. It wasn't perfect by any means but it was such a big step for Vivid that I felt it appropriate to take a moment and point this fact out before I forget. The stereo audio was about the same as always with minimal separation between the channels and limited dynamic range but this was not as big a factor as the visual improvements.

Body of Review: Vivid Entertainment has been in business for over 20 years, rising to the top of the field by virtue of their marketing strategies, their willingness to try new things while still addressing their core market, and their contract star system that hires some of the best gals in the business to promote their movies (as well as star in them of course). The latest hire getting some exposure from this monolith of the porn world is Malezia, a brunette with a refreshingly attractive face and body. The subject of this review is her most recent release, Deep In Malezia, a set of unrelated scenes with some nice costars and capable direction at the hands of porn veteran Chi Chi LaRue. If you've watched some of this gal's past work, you'll want to look at this one too but suffice it to say that there was a lot of fuck for the buck this time as Vivid learns from their competitors. Here's a look at the scenes by cast and scenario, noting that the scenes did use condoms more than most of you prefer:

Scene One: Sex Sells: Malezia, a brunette with an all natural body and a winning smile (not to mention a face that reminds me of mainstream actress Claudia Christian when she was younger), was first up with Chris Cannon in a bordello-styled scene. They kissed one another as she showed off her body and allowed him to rub it a bit but her strength was in the way she playfully approached him, even licking his penis through his jeans. He reciprocated by going down on her and eventually they screwed both vaginally as well as anally. The anal was slow going but she seemed to have more sexual skill than many of her coworkers at Vivid so she may well become their next contract star (in terms of how much they promote her). It ended when he rubbed out his load on her lovely ass.

Scene Two: First Impressions: Malezia, still looking hot, had a scene with blonde extreme queen, Ashley Long on a couch at work. Lesbian scenes are a mixed blessing since so many of them simply don't work if the performers are actually only "gay for pay" as the expression goes. I thought the music was too loud but otherwise the scene was a lot of fun in how the gals took their time playing with one another (rubbing and oral for the most part). The glass dildo action wasn't bad either but I preferred how they sucked each other off more and the deployment of the strap on dildo was cool.

Scene Three: Dark Fantasies: Christie Lee and Kimberly Kane, both attractive blondes with a lot going for them, took care of lean Gil Cortez in a dark engine room of sorts. The gals have done more elsewhere but looked very fit here and their levels of energy were really high this time; from the oral to the eventual boning he gave them. The taste testing was pretty fun too but the heated and passionate screwing of the gals won my crotch this time. It ended when he rubbed out a load (with some help) onto Kimberly's face and chest. Wow!

Scene Four: Otto and Audrey: Audrey Hollander, the redhead with a kinky mane of hair and curvy body, was up next as she swung about on a sex swing in what appeared to be an adult playground indoors. Wearing black PVC boots and some see through black lingerie, she begged Otto Bauer for his cock after masturbating a little bit. Her oral was among the most energetic of the cast and even included rimming him after he gave her some oral loving. She did some fine vaginal and great anal, the best of the scene in fact, even though her visual appeal is an acquired taste.

Scene Five: Wedding Day: Malezia, this time in a more erotic scene in a large canopied bed, took care of Steven St. Croix in warmish fashion. While she looked good before, she looked exceptionally warmer this time with more chemistry between them to go along with the energy. While I thought her scenes in the entire movie weren't the hottest (she had plenty of talented competition), she was very attractive in all ways and I can see why Vivid took her in as a contract star.

Summary: Deep In Malezia was worth a rating of Recommended for those of you not needing a lot of circus act sex to get off but also for fans of the cast. Malezia is a sight to behold and I can only hope she continues to make movies for Vivid given the manner in which she makes for compelling viewing as she engages in sexual activity on screen. The feature itself lasted longer than average for Vivid and the extras were definitely adding value to the DVD but I think those of you that see Malezia in action will likely become fans unless you're one of those who've become jaded to the point of some reviewers online.
