Extra's: The bonus scene between Penny Flame and Mike John was extremely heated so I described it below. This kind of action warrants special treatment rather than a spot on a list of extras as so many other scenes get these days. It also added 24.5 minutes of sex so you know I was happy with it. The other solid extra was the inclusion of 9.5 minutes of Behind the Scenes footage that showcased one of the scenes (between Katin and Mike John). I would've preferred it last longer but that's a lament many of us have with regard to our sex lives so why shouldn't the DVD mimic them? There was also a photogallery and the usual double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: POV Pervert 5 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally shot for DVD by director Mike John (with a little help from Erik Everhard and Michael Stefano) for Red Light District. The colors were solid, the flesh tones accurate, and the lighting almost always very good; making the picture look well done. The composition of the picture was the usual point of view as advertised with plenty to appreciate for all of us since Mike's POV work has long been held in high regard from critics and fans alike (he often leads the pack in terms of other directors imitating him). I didn't see any compression artifacts or video noise; a good thing since there was so much material offered on the DVD. The audio was presented in the usual stereo English but the amount of separation and dynamic range was minimal; thankfully, the vocals were clearly understood.

Body of Review: Over the years, the porn world has proven it will adapt to just about anything that will either make more money or lower costs (in effect; making more money) and that was a major factor for the increasing popularity of the gonzo format. In short, I'd argue that the chicken and egg theories of gonzo are all moot points since consumers tend to go with what they like but when offered a lot of something like gonzo, they eventually come around (and come a lot at that). The POV style of shooting is simply an offshoot of that as the cameraman will set up the shots of the sex as though the performers are having sex with you, the audience, rather than a parolee looking guy as most porn is still shot today. The latest release using this camera style is POV Pervert 5 by the talented Mike John for Red Light District. Much like the previous volume I reviewed, POV Pervert 4, the quality of the action was surpassed only by the quality of the females showcased in this little outing. With tremendous levels of fuck for the buck, here's a look at the scenes by cast and actions, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Katin, the 20 year old cutie featured on the front DVD cover, was up first as she teased partner Mike John on a bed. She knew what buttons to push as she claimed he was hot and kept a positive attitude during the whole scene. This aspect alone made it a good scene but her energy and skill at milking a nut provided me with a great deal of replay value. With nice sized, all natural breasts and a firm young ass, she was ready to earn her keep (and looked better in the movie than on the front DVD cover). The main part of the scene dealt with fantastic oral and some passionate vaginal sex where she aggressively participated in the various sex acts. She did plenty of taste testing and that would've been enough for me but she then took him anally. Okay, her ass was a bit loose (some time at the gym would help) but it was clear that she wasn't used to anal sex given the slower manner she took him there before doing some ATM. It ended with a blowjob using some hand and eye action to milk out his loads (she got at least three loads from him) in this scene.

Scene Two: Piper Austin, a gorgeous looking brunette with a curvy body, was up next wearing a see through white outfit that showed off her great breasts on the bed to director Mike John. She showed off the rest of her body too and fans of flowery pussies will enjoy her a lot. Like Katin, she also had a positive attitude that shined through the formulaic manner of the scene although I should point out that she began the sex with some vaginal boning rather than oral. Thankfully, after some sweet screwing, she eventually got around to slobbing his knob in a passionate manner. There was some titty fucking and PTM but the fact that they had to leave the bed in order to go at it on the floor spoke volumes to me about the value of the scene. I believe she milked out two loads from his penis and swallowed them done easily.

Scene Three: Keri Sable, the lean blonde contract starlet at Wicked Pictures, showed off her all natural body on a bed in a medium shot in the next scene. I'm not a fan of really close shots but this one was farther away then I prefer, especially given how attractive her face is. Mike John directed her actions as she teased and masturbated wearing her bikini style undies with him eventually jerking off from the distance as he described what he wanted to do to her. She did it all; oral, vaginal, fingering, anal and PTM as well as ATM, and did it with scores of energy that drove both of them wild. I suspect Keri will be bringing a lot to her new contract if Wicked Pictures lets her loose like this scene that was arguably even better than the last two on most levels. It ended with a facial that she sucked down with glee for those who care.

Scene Four: Harmony Rose, yet another very attractive 20 year old gal with pretty eyes and a sweet ass (her other parts looked good too), sat on the bed while doing the limited interview and teasing the camera for Mike John. Her act was strictly oral and vaginal (with some taste testing) but the biggest limitation for me was the mechanical nature of how she seemed to approach it. Don't get me wrong; I understand that all the gals were there for the pay day but she was less able to bridge the fantasy aspects of the sex (the point of the sex is to give viewers the impression that they could be screwing the cutie too since it's done in POV fashion)) than the others here. It wasn't a bad scene, just weak compared to the others for all her positive looking attributes. On a positive note, she swallowed as well as any of the other gals after doing some titty fucking.

Scene Five: Haley Paige, definitely one of the cuter gals in porn these days, followed the formula with one exception; she had her scene with Erik Everhard (his voice was easily discernable and his approach to the sex somewhat more driven). Most guys would give their left nut to be with a gal this sweet and she brought a girl next door sensibility to the show (seeming less polished and jaded than some of the others who were exceptionally talented but at times weren't as fresh as some of us would like). They played orally and vaginally before swallowing (having done some titty fucking and PTM too) but her energy levels, while slightly subdued compared to a few of the others, seemed very appealing to me.

Bonus Scene: Penny Flame, a playful gal that reminded me a lot of a young Jewel De'Nyle, was up first as she sat before a bed while Mike John played with her. She's still young enough here that her few extra pounds of baby fat look really good on her all natural body and her sexual skills were developed far beyond her years. He just laid back while she did all the work, from some awesome oral to some heated and passionate bouncing on his penis (with lots of PTM to boot). I could bore you with a virtual screenplay of the sex acts but suffice it to say that the chemistry and energy of the scene was top notch for the entire 24.5 minutes.

Summary: POV Pervert 5 was worth a rating of Highly Recommended for the very attractive cast, the heated and passionate sex, and the truth in advertising with regard to the "100% swallowing" and POV camera angles. Mike is one of the top gonzo directors these days and in the POV sub-genre, he could be argued to be the driving force by many. If you're looking for a lot of fuck for the buck, this will be a sweet collection of action for you to pick up and the replay value of almost every scene was much higher than average. Check it out!
