Extra's: As always, the only extras were the usual photogallery and trailers to movies like Devon: Decadence, Teen America 5, Devon: Erotique, Teagan: Erotique, Contract Star, Story of J, Sex in the Valley, Teen America, No Limits, Rush, Virtual Sex with Jesse Jane, Erotique, Jack's Playground, The Hitman, Beat The Devil, but also an interesting 6.5 minute montage for the Jack's Playground series that even quoted me, although it credited me as being from Adult DVD Empire (not a bad thing) and used my most negative comment from my dozen or so reviews of the series (proving that Digital Playground has a sense of humor).

Audio/Video Quality: Jack's Playground 22 was presented in anamorphic widescreen 1.85:1 ratio color. The colors were sometimes a bit too saturated but aside from some minor grain and video noise, the show looked pretty good and never distracted from the sex taking place. The audio was presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English but the use of the audio format was not really great since most of the sound came from the center channel. While this comes as no surprise, especially since the budget of most porn movies is so small, Digital Playground is world-renowned for being on the leading edge of technology and a number of fans, me included, appreciate their efforts.

Body of Review: Perhaps the longest running comedy series in porn these days is Digital Playground's Jack's Playground. The series stars "Jack" (played off screen by director Robby D.) who goes around shooting various women with his video camera using the pretense of putting them in rock videos as he gets his friends laid and/or showcases some attractive gals masturbating. The general formula allows director Robby D. a lot of latitude in that he can get gals that will screw men, other women, or themselves (meaning he isn't restricted to a particular type of sex act like most series are these days). That said, the latest volume in the series is Jack's Playground 22: Give To The Yummypie.com Telethon, as much a goof on telethons as a blatant attempt to draw more attention to the aforementioned website (maybe I'll share links with them in the future). If you've enjoyed the past volumes of the series, you'll like this one too although it had a lot of limitations since there was too little sex, too few hotties, and not as much as usual going on. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action:

Scene One: Jackie Ashe, a young brunette with a nice ass, was up first on a couch with muscular Tommy Gunn. Her appeal is that of the girl next door rather than a highly experienced porn gal so those of you that enjoy seeing new gals will appreciate her a lot. He did some oral on her, she reciprocated, and then they boned with some energy and chemistry. I liked how she aggressively pumped up and down on his penis, giving me the impression that she was into doing him. It ended with the usual pop shot to the face and was the longest scene of the movie by far.

Scene Two: Jade Hsu, the skinny Asian gal in the middle background of the front DVD cover, was part of an ongoing scene throughout the movie with gal pal, Jacqueline. It wasn't until this part in the movie that they actually started showing some skin and using toys on one another but the bit and piece approach really didn't work for me.

Scene Three: Jenaveve Jolie, the dark haired cutie featured on the right hand side of the front DVD cover, was up next in a solo masturbation scene on a bed. I'm not a fan of implants but she could use those babies on me in any way she liked, any time of the day, if she liked. The tease footage was invaluable here and the funny way that any time she spoke the movie sped up made me laugh. She jilled herself (the female equivalent of a guy jacking off) and I'd have licked her fingers clean if given the chance.

Scene Four: Harmony, a curvy blonde with a sweet ass herself, was up next in a scene with foreign stud Pascal St. James. One of the things I liked about this scene (and the series in general) was the playful manner in which she showed herself off with a smile. This is a standard feature of the series and a lot better than shows where younger gals are like deer's in the headlights of a car (they come from other companies). Pascal still took his time with her, savoring the taste of the cutie on the bed and she gave him some sultry head in return but once she started riding, she went into a heated auto-pilot that made me want to see more of her. Fans of vaginal creampies will appreciate the load he popped into her pussy more than I did but I thought she had a lot of potential.

Scene Five: Melody, a skinny foreign gal with an attitude, was up next as she showed her body off to Robby ("Jack") and Celeste. She admitted to being a dancer but she didn't do much more since she sent Jack away instead of masturbating. She really didn't look all that hot to me so I didn't really care that she did so little.

Scene Six: Nicole, the blonde on the left hand side of the front DVD cover, gave her boyfriend, the kind of gay looking Tony T. a lap dance as the two showed Jack they were prepared to do it all in front of his camera to make it big in the porn world. If you like lean gals with a playful sense of energy, she'll appeal to you although the scene itself could've used some more action and chemistry between the two. Unfortunately, she could barely suck his dick (taking only the tip inside her mouth) and he did almost all of the work in the vaginal screwing portion of the scene, which greatly limited the appeal of the scene for me. Still, while not as attractive as Jenaveve or as skillful as Harmony, she had some untapped potential that some of you will like.

Summary: Jack's Playground 22 was worth a rating of Rent It unless you're really stoked on a particular performer listed above. Frankly, I'd rather Digital Playground release a volume every three months or so if it meant the series would be lengthier and the cast would be better equipped (i.e.: looks and sexual skill). There were some heated moments and some of the gals will be on my list to look for elsewhere but unlike the spin off series, Teen America, when you keep the price high and the amount of sex footage limited, it doesn't work nearly as well for me unless the gals are perfect. Check it out before buying but keep in mind that there was still a sense of friendly fun that added to the pleasure, it just could've lasted longer.
