Audio/Video Quality: Private XXX 19: Chain Reaction was presented with the usual mix of aspect ratios, depending on which scene it was. Some were full frame and others were non-anamorphic widescreen but on average, they all looked pretty decent or better. The clarity of the focus was very sharp, the colors and fleshtones very accurate, and the composition of most shots looked as though done with care with a nice mix in all the scenes. Only one scene was truly weak this time (although others weren't perfect) and I appreciated the care that went into them. The stereo audio track was fairly well done in terms of vocals but the music droned more than I appreciate in several scenes, weakening the quality too much.

Body of Review: If ever a company could succeed at providing foreign scenes of attractive gals and less attractive guys having great hardcore sex, Private would be it. I've seen some great works from them in recent years and today's review of Private XXX 19: Chain Reaction seemed a nice compliment to many of those high end feature length movies we hear so much about from the mega-conglomerate. Not too unlike Volume 18 in the series, the DVD had seven scenes of varying quality; all of which had lovely ladies willing to do as needed to please their partners. If you've enjoyed the past work by the company, you'll like this one too as it gave a range of action in some very stylish settings. Here's a look at the scenes, noting that no condoms were used here at all:

Scene One: Heaven & Hell: D-Tom Herold: 11/2004: Angel Dark and Thalia, dressed alternately as a sexy devil and a sexy angel (look for the devil in red lingerie on the front DVD cover to see what I mean) in a dungeon setting while poor George Uhl watched. The bondage themes weren't played out much other than the usual props in the background and after some warmish lesbian antics, the full on heterosexual contact began. The gals teased him orally and took turns sucking his meat stick before he took the pussy plunge (followed by anal) with the scene being a good way to start the show. I liked how the gals both jerked him off to the facial and the action was good most of the time.

Scene Two: Sex 4 Sex: D-Xavi Dominguez: 6/2003: Tera Joy and Silvia Lancome, a couple of very attractive gals with all natural bodies and sexual talent to spare, were up next as they did some minor lesbian action before the guys, Andrea Moranti and Claudio Meloni, joined them upstairs. Okay, the kissing seemed a bit faked but the attention they paid to their partners was often very passionate and appeared to be real. The gals did it all, including taking anal and DP's with a flair reserved for only the best in the jizz biz, and I thought Xavi did a great job in directing them for all the minor rough edges the scene had.

Scene Three: Infernal Flame: D-Andrea Di Angelo: 7/2004: Gloria Gucci and Angelique, each wearing a fishnet body stocking that hugged their curves nicely, began with some limited lipstick lesbian action before the scene cut away to them doing Horst Baron, JJ, and Tom Cruiso, on a couch. The sex was admittedly a bit mechanical this time yet aside from the manner in which the gals paid far too much attention to the camera in the scene, it was another decent bit of action. It had oral, vaginal, anal and DP footage with some decent pop shots at the end. I would've preferred the music be turned down a bit since the loud droning was bothersome but at least they looked good here.

Scene Four: Bitch on the Beach: D-Gianfranco Romagnoli: 7/2004: Andy Brown, a very lean brunette with a sweetly curved ass, pranced around in the surf of a beach with Nick Lang this time. I liked the way in which the waves splashed her ass and the setting was great with all those palm trees and sandy beaches to enjoy. The sex itself seemed more oriented towards that of a hardcore Private release (oral, vaginal and anal) but I can see why she has been developing a fan base in recent months given her sexual energy here.

Scene Five: Pool Orgy: Director's Cut: D-Rene Fleron: 8/2004: Pirya Tai, Mette, Jens XP, Martin, and a second Martin (popular name I suppose), were up next in an orgy scene by an indoor pool. The DVD warned me at the beginning of the scene of the lack of a soundtrack and technical limitations, declaring the scene a director's cut before the action began. I'll admit I liked the action but it looked really lousy too with a whole lot of grain, video noise, and a yellow tint that made me uncomfortable watching it. It does have value in showing aspiring pornographers how the raw elements can be worked to get a polished scene but with the other scenes looking so much better; I didn't really like it much.

Scene Six: Cuntry Cunts: D-Frank Thring: 9/2004: Kathy Anderson and Ellen Saint, two great looking bleach blondes with smoking hot bodies, acted like country gals turned vixens in their skimpy outfits outdoors by a nice villa for George Reno, Rudy, and Wein Lewis. The sex was pretty decent, especially the oral sex, but even the anal seemed a bit tame this time. I liked the thunderstorms in the background yet found the way in which the scene ended to be too short.

Bonus Scene: Room Number One: D-Juan Carlos Jesus Villalobos: 10/2003: Kate Moore and Lolo had the bonus scene involving lesbian action after a set up making it almost appear to be a short movie. The spy thriller aspect of the scene was interesting but it was the erotic manner in which the duo got off was the best part of the scene.

Summary: Private XXX 19: Chain Reaction was better than Volume 18 on several levels, perhaps because Private has decided to crack down on quality control, so I gave it a rating of Recommended. It was no Millionaire Boxed Set but the sex was generally enjoyable, the women attractive, and the amount of decent extras worth the price of admission so check it out if you have few qualms about this type of release. Like most Private titles, it won't appeal to everyone but it was sufficiently interesting with nice replay value for those willing to give it a look.
