Audio/Video Quality: Hooker Chic was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by cameraman Jim Powers for director Bridgette Kerkove, this time working for No Boundaries Entertainment. In all, it lacked the style I've seen on most of her work for Metro but was a decent, straightforward shoot from beginning to end in most ways. The fleshtones were accurate, the lighting solid, and the amount of grain limited. The composition of the camera angles wasn't always perfectly favorable to the cast and there were some visual flaws but I saw no compression artifacts or major video noise if that helps you make up your mind. The audio was presented in stereo English but was quite basic with limited separation and dynamic range as befitting a bare bones release.

Body of Review: In the porn world for many years was a gal that became known for her circus act sex involving chopsticks, cans of beans, and other twisted items stuffed up her ass called Bridgette Kerkove. She made hundreds of movies a year and was looked at as something of an example of the excesses of the industry by a great many folk, many of whom commented on her slavering fanboy of a husband, Skeeter (who is now a talented director himself). Recent accusations between the two would lead me to believe that a reconciliation is out of the question and/or that at least one of them is going to jail but that's something you can find easily if you seek to do so. In one of her most recent directorial releases without her husband at her side, Hooker Chic, Bridgette uses talented cameraman Jim Powers to try and convey her sense of fashion and style with admittedly okay results. Primarily a formula driven porno that centered on cell phones, tease, oral and the usual vaginal with anal antics, the movie wasn't up to her usual standards but had some solid action nonetheless. Here's a quick look at the scenes, noting that condoms weren't used at all:

Scene One: Venus, the gal with multi-colored hair kneeling at the bottom of the front DVD cover, was up first in a scene with Johnny "Bad Bob" Thrust and Trick Dickson, after establishing the tease footage formula. This is a gal that strikes me as much more fun in person than on camera (having watched her numerous times in the past) but she was vocal, knew how to give and receive oral, and seemed to be skilled in the art of milking a nut. She's been in porn for a long time but manages to keep her lovely ass in decent shape so fans of more extreme action will probably enjoy her more than I did given her somewhat mechanical action this time. She did some okay vaginal but the anal with DP (and ATM) will likely be your highlight acts this time. Every once in a while, she'd start to shine but then something would happen (cameraman Jim Powers definitely has a different style than Bridgette's former crew consisting primarily of her estranged husband Skeeter) to weaken it. In all, it wasn't a terrible scene but it lacked the punch some of her earlier work was known for.

Scene Two: Katja Kassin, the top anal queen in porn these days, sported brunette hair to go with her pink & blue striped outfit as seen in the upper middle of the front DVD cover (as well as a background shot on the right hand side) with some black PVC shorts to hug her sweet ass nicely as she teased the camera. Her partner for the scene was the incredibly lucky Alex Knight; another man that didn't like her on the cell phone when he was in the mood for some loving. The two played well with one another during some foreplay and she gave a short & sweet blowjob with expert timing and skill before the boning began. With some PTM and ATM rounding out the positions, she offered up all of her orifices to get him off. To be up front though, she wasn't at her best and he did most of the work this time; greatly weakening the scene for me in several ways. I prefer Katja aggressively hammering away as she rides a cock (or three) and the scene was probably the worst of hers I've seen in a very long time.

Scene Three: Jordan Styles, a gal that looks much like a redheaded (and younger) version of the infamous Jill Kelly, was up next in a photoshoot style montage wearing a one piece bathing suit. She was the only one not seen on the front DVD cover (maybe she pissed someone off) but that was a mistake given her look. Her all natural body could've used some time in the gym to tone up but partner Steve French seemed to readily acknowledge her great sexual skill as much as I did. She was energetic, had lots of chemistry with him, and regardless of whether he was invading her mouth, pussy, or ass; she seemed to revel in the action, vocally driving him on throughout the scene. It ended in a facial and was surprising in how much better it was than my personal favorite performer of the show's scene.

Scene Four: Katrina Kraven, the tattooed brunette on the far left hand side of the front DVD cover, was up next as she followed the established formula on a bed. Her sultry look and skillful performances have been setting the porn world on fire of late and for good reason; she's a great fuck! Her partner was Chris Mountain, a tall slob of a guy that reminded me of French mainstream actor Gerard Depardieu, and he seemed to be getting his first pussy since pussy had him by the way he attacked her here. While it wasn't an award winning performance by either one of them (and she's certainly had plenty of those), it was a warm scene with some significant replay value. From the oral to the vaginal to the anal, her skill levels shined through his clumsy attempts at screwing her. It ended when he rubbed out a load into her mouth and onto her face for those of you who care.

Scene Five: Trina Michaels, the blonde wearing the green bikini top and black skirt on the front middle of the DVD cover, was up last with Jay Lassiter. Her tease footage was poorly filmed but she certainly had the kind of curves many fans appreciate and he looked much like the hilarious Adam Carolla so seeing a cutie like her having a regular joe like him was kind of interesting. Her oral skills looked to be among the best of the show as she slobbered all over his knob while standing before him, using her tongue and hand to get him all worked up. When taking the rod up her pussy and ass (with PTM and ATM to top off each act), she started out a bit slower but increased her energy levels better than any of the others in the movie (this was one of, if not her very best, performances to date). It ended with her jerking off to her mouth but she didn't swallow.

Summary: Hooker Chic had a few very solid performances but the best performers of the bunch (in historical terms at least) were not up to their usual standards and that proved a disappointment to me. In all, the cast was good enough, the production values reasonable enough (even if lacking the style associated with director Bridgette Kerkove's past works), and the amount of fuck for the buck good enough to warrant a rating of a high end Rent It or better. I'm not sure if Bridgette has left her contract at Metro Interactive or not and I miss seeing some of the fetish attire she routinely had the gals wear for her movies with that company but with a little bit of polishing up, I'm sure her movies elsewhere could look at pleasing to the eye.
