Audio/Video Quality: The Voyeur's Favorite Blowjobs & Anals 9 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color that the scenes were originally shot in. Many of the scenes were quite old by porn standards and a few of them had long relied on the voyeuristic nature of the camera to supply the heat rather than top notch technical standards so a number of scenes were substantially below average in terms of having far too much grain and video noise as well as some of the other visual flaws that Mr. Leslie uses as a means to convey style from time to time. With that in mind, most of the scenes looked okay and your viewing pleasure won't be substantially impacted most of the time by those flaws. The audio was a similar case, being presented in stereo English from the original monaural recording, with a lot of ups and downs to speak of. It was also rarely an issue and for the amount of fuck for your buck given here, I can't say that it was too bad to prevent your fun though.

Body of Review: Fans of John Leslie have long been able to enjoy his particular brand of quirky porn as he romps about the world trying to show a vision of what gets him off. In recent years, his style has focused mostly on the voyeuristic aspects of porn (all porn voyeuristic on some level or another) with his most recent series being The Voyeur and older series being such notables as The Letcher and Fresh Meat. Each of these series has a common theme and fans have been very supportive of John's attempts to capture said vision for their home viewing due to the manner in which he stylishly presents a lot of attractive women in various settings, all of which draw from archetypal fantasies involving fantasies common to people throughout the world. Today's review is of his latest compilation, The Voyeur's Favorite Blowjobs & Anals 9, a show much like Volume 8 in terms of John's general use of the camera as his set of eyes looking for perverted fun. Keeping in mind that the series he draws from are not known for technical excellence in terms of lighting, camera angles, or pretty much anything else, here's a quick breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting no condoms were used and very few lights seemed to be working on the days the scenes were made too:

Scene One: Fresh Meat 8: Jazmine, a lean brunette with an all natural body, began the show by licking a black dildo and stripping off her clothes to the background trumpet in a laundry room. Ryan looked particularly good here and the oral was nicely done in the hallway. Each man was large but got some of the oral loving they needed to get really hard before the oral aspects of the scene kicked in. This scene seemed edited to me (when she called for "Gary" to fuck her in the ass, I wasn't sure if she meant Marcus by his "real name" or some other guy; I know it wasn't Lex although he was balls deep in her rectum). It was a good scene except for the camera work that was all over the place.

Scene Three: Previously Unreleased: Jessica, the sweet looking gal on the right hand side of the front DVD cover showing off her ample ass, was up next in a domestic scene with Roly Reeves and Thomas Stone. The reason the scene was probably never shown before was probably based on technical reasoning (the camera lost focus more than once, background noise got in the way several times, etc.) but she was definitely cute enough to overlook these things in favor of putting the scene on the compilation. There were some extra minutes to the scene left in the deleted footage section of the extras but she did a very vocal job of taking them in her three holes (mouth, pussy and ass), with a powerful DP (double penetration) by the guys before they jerked out loads to her lovely face.

Scene Four: The Voyeur 15: Brandy, the gal on the middle of the left hand side of the front DVD cover, was up next as she followed the directions of John Leslie and stripped down for him in a darkened room. Her scene partner was Zenza Raggi, and even with the church bells and blabbing by people in the background, I thought she was worth the effort of checking out for that curvy body of hers. While she wasn't the most attractive gal in the movie (not even close in fact), she was one of the more skilled gals in terms of her perverted sexuality. Scene Six: Previously Unreleased: Serena South, the hotty bending over in the middle of the front DVD cover, Delilah, the blonde on the top of the left hand side of the front DVD cover, and Marco Duato, a guy that looks so much like Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime that only a lack of bulky muscle separated the two at birth (they could be kin), were up next. The outfits worn by the gals were great but it was their sexual skill that turned me on as they slobbed his knob with glee and otherwise sought to milk his nuts of a couple of loads by any means necessary. The only complaint I had about the scene was the camera work and the fact that it was an oral only scene (however good an oral only scene, it still lacked the action I wanted to see of them).

Scene Seven: The Voyeur 12: Shila, a gal with light hair, a great body, and many aliases, was up next as John caught her urinating on the toilet before her scene with Mario, Leslie Taylor, and Mike Foster. The tease footage employed the use of light better than most of John's voyeuristic movies with the sun shining through her flimsy blue dress but it also detracted from her beauty when it washed out the picture as a result (pointing a videocamera towards the light source has long had that effect). The guys took full advantage of her body as they boned and she moaned with some DP action to add to the gonzo nature of the action.

Scene Eight: The Voyeur 14: Aspen Brock, the gal in the red undies on the lower middle of the front DVD cover, was up next as she masturbated with a vibrator on a large bed to warm up her ass for Nacho Vidal. It wasn't the most powerful scene of the show but it was worth watching a few times as she seemed to enjoy his company in bed.

Summary: The Voyeur's Favorite Blowjobs & Anals 9 was a case where much of the action seemed to be a bit off and suffering from too many technical problems to truly like. I know that director John Leslie's strengths have never been in the technical side of porn production but there is a line where going too far the other direction causes some fans, myself included, to think less of the material, even some of the hot fuck bunnies at work here. While there was admittedly a solid amount of fuck for the buck this time, the limitations caused me to lower my rating to Rent It unless you're one of John's fans that doesn't already own his previous releases on DVD (I think they're all released these days). My own preferences cause me to seek out the work of directors that pay more attention to lighting, camera angles, and perfect visuals but John's quirky style does have some merit so check it out and act accordingly with this DVD release.
