Audio/Video Quality: Jack's Playground 24 was presented in anamorphic widescreen 1.85:1 ratio color. The colors were sometimes a bit too saturated but aside from some minor grain and video noise, the show looked good (except for one scene as it had some lighting issues) and never distracted from the sex taking place. The audio was presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English but the use of the audio format was not really great since most of the sound came from the center channel. While this comes as no surprise, especially since the budget of most porn movies is so small, Digital Playground is world-renowned for being on the leading edge of technology and a number of fans, me included, appreciate their efforts.

Body of Review: When I started reviewing porn years ago, one of the genres I enjoyed the most was comedy porn. Most of the better titles came from Wicked Pictures but other companies made some breakthroughs as well and to this day, I still look for comedy releases to review. One of the other companies that started making some decent movies was Digital Playground, known for silly comedies like The Hitman, Sex in the Valley, and of course, the Jack's Playground series. Contract director Robby D. has been making comedy porn for years at Vivid (to limited success) so when Digital Playground snagged him, I was at first figuring they'd be going to a new "churn them out" format but the listed releases have since convinced me that the man always had the talent, just not the budgets, to make some funny titles. The latest of these releases would be the two dozen anniversary (why focus on time when you have superior numbers?) of the series, Jack's Playground 24: Longer Lasting Anal, a volume that departed from the usual formula in favor of longer scenes with a cast of very talented and desirable gals; all brought to you in the same silly comedy style Robby excels at. In general, it was one of the best volumes of the series, even though it didn't have any of the star power of a couple of previous editions, and fans of the series should be very happy with the quality here. That said, here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used at times but some of the sex was pretty hardcore:

Scene One: Reina Leone, a curvy brunette with an interesting past (apparently, she was a police officer in California; heck, she can read me my rights…right after she sucks my dick dry), was up first after she and Celeste came over to visit with Eric Masterson and "Jack". Eric had been looking at the cover of Feeding Frenzy 4 (incorrectly accredited to Robby D.) and Reina was the only gal to stay to watch porn. Needless to say, she and Eric did the deed for the camera on the couch, with Reina spouting off verbally the whole time (Yay her!). While she doesn't exactly fit the physical profile of the series since she has more of a paunch (she could stand to lose about 25 pounds) than most and her implant scars are extremely obvious, I thought she was a good candidate for the initial scene. The sex was oral and vaginal only but she swallowed his load down at the end, claiming it was better than donuts (a cop that swallows; yesssss!). She had some decent energy in the scene and I liked it, despite the limitations.

Scene Two: Sabina, the gal on the left hand side of the front DVD cover, was up next as she wore her tight shorts and pink fishnet body stocking before slobbing Tommy Gunn's knob. Her sense of playfulness with the oral and vaginal sex was a cut above the usual scene in the series, with her aggressively riding him in a couple of positions. If that weren't enough, she then proved anal was in her repertoire, doing a fine job there (befitting the title in fact) that ended with an anal creampie. In terms of significance, keep in mind that even one of the most hardcore gonzo porn companies in the business these days, Evil Angel, doesn't do anal creampies so it would not be unfair to say this volume of Jack's Playground was more extreme than the noted gonzo producer (critics often claim that Digital Playground if fluffy porn or "couples" porn and this addresses such claims). While she wasn't my favorite looking gal of the bunch, it was a solid scene in several ways with great energy.

Scene Three: Sarah Blake, the extremely cute brunette in the middle of the front DVD cover, was up next with lucky Eric Masterson after a quick game of Clue(less). Her oral was slower and sultrier than the previous gals but I was happy that she didn't have one of the infamous solo scenes this series is known for because that'd be a waste of a fine young hotty. Some of the blowjob was recorded in virtual POV style, with her puppy dog eyes looking right at the camera, but most of the time, it was just fun to watch. They then advanced to the vaginal boning where she increased her tempo with time but never reached the balls out action of the other two scenes; preferring to have a more natural scene with her studly partner. This is a gal to keep an eye out for though since she gets better with time, much like a fine wine. Fans of all natural, lean gals still in their youth, will like her a lot.

Scene Four: Jennifer Luv, another fine gal as featured on the left hand side of the front DVD cover, was up next in a scene where she fell head over heels for the mighty Evan Stone. Evan was by the pool and came over after he cock blocked Jack by taking Jennifer away from him. After spilling some body oil on her, the scenario had Evan and Jennifer going at it (in one of the funniest bits the series has had in a long time). While the scene was oral and vaginal only, I thought they had something special going (she was flush, had erect nipples, and couldn't look away from him as she practically panted her desire for his meat inside her mouth and pussy). For me at least, this was solid chemistry (or very good acting; it amounts to the same thing for a fan) and while the energy wasn't the best of the show, there was enough to keep me happy (especially at the end of the scene). Yum!

Scene Five: Jazmin, a darker skinned gal playing a stripper brought home to bed by the massive Lee Stone, was up next as she gave him and Jack a little dance. I thought the interview portion of the scene was weak (they replaced her voice with an Indian sounding guy to be funny much of the time) but she knew her way around a meat pipe as well as most in the jizz biz. The lighting was weaker this time and almost by necessity Lee did all the work (he could've ripped her in two due to her lean frame and the size of his penis) but I still liked the action; even with just oral and vaginal on the plate.

Summary: Jack's Playground 24 was easily worth a rating of Recommended from me and approached an even higher rating that was blocked more due to the limited amount of material on the DVD than anything else (to go that high, better extras and a lengthier running time with such great sex would've been needed). Still, it shows that Robby isn't out of ideas yet and the basic premise of the series is still solid enough to keep providing entertainment for fans. I wondered what the series would look like if Celeste took over a volume (and allowed Robby a chance to make one of her artistic styled vignette releases in return), if Robby went back to having a unified idea for each volume, or even if Robby might try to expand on the quantity of comedy material (as well as the sex mind you) in the future in order to provide more fuck for the buck but that's strictly up to him and the bosses at the company. The possibility of him penning a script skewering critics with the series was raised awhile back with him and I can only imagine the kind of slamming we'd all get (though in good fun mind you) since there'd be so much to work with. As far as this volumes went though, the gals were talented, all appealing to some aspect of my libido, the technical matters were generally well done, and the humor was well played so check it out.
