Audio/Video Quality: Rocco: Top of the World: Extended Cut was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by Rocco Siffredi for distribution by Evil Angel. The lighting and general composition of the scenes was actually pretty solid this time, at least for a gonzo production, and the grain appeared to be fairly minimal with no video noise introduced from the DVD mastering. I saw some compression artifacts from time to time but they weren't that common and the passionate nature of most of the sexual escapades kept them from being a big factor even on those few times I saw them. The audio was presented in a stereo English track but had little separation, dynamic range, or other reason for being mentioned. The moans and groans held true to form and a bit more dirty talk might've added some enjoyment to the show but not enough to elevate the rating any significant amount.

Body of Review: By now, almost anyone watching porn in the last ten years has seen or heard of Rocco Siffredi, the Italian stud best recognized for his kinky and heated antics onscreen. The man has long been established as loving women of all types and showing them the means by which to push their limits to the max, therefore gaining the best possible performances from them. While the last few years have proved a bit less consistent for his movies, his latest is Rocco: Top of the World: Extended Cut, a lengthy tribute to gonzo sex with an emphasis on interracial and kink. If you like anal sex in a variety of different positions, the good news is that the cast was all having fun at their acts and displayed a playfulness rarely seen in domestically produced material. That said, here's a brief breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used at all:

Scene One: Trinity, the hot blonde standing on the lower DVD cover wearing a pink & black lingerie outfit, Mandy Bright, the gal wearing the lime green outfit as she's bent over taking a DP on the front DVD cover, with Michael Chapman, Franco Roccaforte, and Kid Jamaica providing the meat for the scene were up first. Mandy has long been established as one of the most talented gals in the jizz biz and her less experienced friend was no slouch either once she got heated up. Mandy began the fireworks this time as she provided some outdoor oral with deep throating gag action. The twisted antics surprised me when she started fingering her male partner's ass (Kid seemed to like it a lot) after she choked him a little in a turnabout bit (usually, the gal is the one that gets rimmed, choked and spanked). That was the price he paid for taunting her I guess and with some face sitting, the scene changed focus to Trinity inside the house on the second floor. There were toys, more rough sex (to each of the cast members) and some serious anal on the gals before the other guys joined in to hammer away at them. In all, it was a nice return to some of Rocco's heated (and perverted) vision that some have claimed he had lost for a while. The scene lasted about 75 minutes with little filler, displaying some solid energy and heat along the way.

Scene Two: Miriam and Amanda Angel, another couple of very attractive gals with contrasting hair colors, were up next in a role playing game where light bondage was used to spice things up. The males for the scene were Nacho Vidal and Rocco Siffredi; although our director went first as he teased with some clamps on nipples and pussy lips to get some juices flowing (the vibrating types seemed kind of interesting). I was less interested in the inflatable ball gag he used but Amanda didn't squawk about it so I won't either. Rocco took over the dominant role early and put the gals through their paces, with each showing some sexual skill in pleasing him and his needs. The sex was pretty standard once you stripped away the toys and fetish antics with Nacho joining the trio on the bed midway through. The sex included anal with ATM, foot play, and pretty much everything you could imagine with some minor DP footage too. There was a lot of grain at the end of the scene when the gals' faces were coated but the energy levels were again pretty good, even if the passion resided mainly in Rocco this time.

Scene Three: Alyson Ray and Tiffany Hopkins, were up last with Joachim Kessef and Gabriel Zero as the quartet fucked and sucked after some great tease footage. The gals were among the most attractive I've seen in a recent Rocco movie with some of the freshness his female performers haven't been able to display consistently in a long time. The food fetish action topped out the interracial they did (for me at least) and the lingerie they wore enhanced their lean figures very nicely. I like lingerie on a gal more than I enjoy the rougher sex employed here but I have to appreciate that the gals were professionals and seemed to enjoy every stroke inside each of their holes this time. The kitchen setting worked wonders too as the gals had enough room to enjoy the variety of positions as well as the anal and ATM. I suppose I would have liked the scene a little better if the gals knew enough English to beg for more or even if they spoke more in their native tongue but they were sure focused on getting and giving pleasure so again the energy shone through.

Summary: Rocco: Top of the World: Extended Cut wasn't my favorite release by Rocco or Evil Angel but I certainly liked it enough to rate it as Recommended. I enjoyed the look of the gals, the variety of the three scenes, and the overall energy levels but it also managed to lack some of the passion Rocco has brought out of his gals in the past. That said, you could do far worse than trying to milk your nuts to this one as there were some boundaries I hadn't seen aggressively pressed past (like scene one) any place in a long time. I have mixed feelings about a gal jamming fingers in a guy's ass but I can't fault Rocco for offering something out of the ordinary; especially in the world of porn where so much has changed in recent years that much of it looks alike.
