Extra's: The best extra was a 13 minute long Behind the Scenes feature but since most of it was not in English, I couldn't use it to identify the cast or understand what they were saying. That kind of sucked (in a bad way) since there were no scene credits and it limited the value of the extra to me. There was also a photogallery, a fetish menu, and some trailers along with the usual double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Phetish Phantasy was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Mandy Bright for distribution by Mercenary Pictures. Unlike some of the other releases from the company, the production values seemed a bit off this time, looking much like some of the foreign work by gonzo leader Evil Angel. The emphasis was never on the best lighting, limiting the grain and video noise, or providing the best visual appeal so much as trying to convey a visual style. In this sense, it had mixed results for me but the picture was never bad, just kind of second rate yet I can't fuss too loudly since the appeal was still present in most scenes. I saw no compression artifacts though and the fleshtones were accurate so while it may not have looked the absolute best it could have, it did have something going for it at times. The stereo audio track had precious little vocals (a bad thing in my book), relying too heavily on loud, droning music that sounded like some of Yoko Ono's crud from the early 1970's. A couple of pieces worked better then the rest but only marginally and this is an area I hope gets more attention in future outings.

Body of Review: Not that Mercenary Pictures is taking off by providing some of the hardcore action porn fans seek, it looks like the company has decided to branch out in the European market by setting up a subsidiary called Mercenary Europe. The first DVD coming from this collaboration is Phetish Phantasy, a series of unrelated vignettes that had a bunch of uncredited gals in fetish attire and makeup taking on some of the better known porn studs the world has to offer. The setting was in an abandoned building somewhere in Europe and the sex included a lot of anal action. Rather than focus on the gals this time, I'll go with the males (since I know who they are) although hopefully the company will read this and provide a cast list of sorts to improve the review (the kind of outfits and makeup made most of the gals look pretty generic). Regardless, there was a lot of decent action going on here and the amount of fuck for the buck was better than many of the very similar releases by Private (the huge company that made this style popular) and here's a brief description of the scenes by cast and action, noting there were no condoms employed at all:

Scene One: First up in the show was Frank Gunn as a dominating stud boy with two highly made up gals sporting huge hair in outfits much like the two gals in red on the front DVD cover. They gave him some energetic head to warm his cock up for the following action in a deserted building somewhere in the lost wilderness of Europe. At times, the gals seemed kind of mechanical in their need for seed but even Frank didn't seem to care as they took turns with his member. The gals also played with each other and took some spanking but within minutes, they were boning away like their Christmas bonuses depended on it, enjoying toys and his cock at the same time. Scene Two: The next scene was dominated by the tag team duo of Zenza Raggi and Frank Gunn; both dressed in black suits as another cute brunette approached as if about to get married in some form of stripper wedding dress (with music of that theme playing initially). Her clothes didn't last too long as they tore them off her to savor her taste both high and low, a fact that had her returning the oral fun on their shafts right afterwards. She blew him, freed him, and allowed him to bone her pussy and ass with a lot of taste testing from each hole. Her sexual skill was akin to a trained sex worker in Budapest (not as good on camera as a usual porn performer but easily able to milk a nut if you catch my drift). Her raw attitude alone made the scene a bit above average in some ways but it never struck a chord with me on a personal level, trying to be something more than porn instead of providing a straightforward fuck.

Scene Four: Lexington Steele, sitting back as he enjoyed the seductive acts of the two gals from the front DVD cover behind some special effects fire, showed them exactly what it means to be "Lexized" as they worked him over in their skimpy lingerie outfits. The two gals were not the best looking of the cast but at least their makeup was reasonable by comparison and their oral skills were beyond reproach. Scene Five: Mandy Bright, the director and well known sex pot hotty, was up last in a scene with her dressed in a PVC nurse outfit, administering to the needs of two chained up guys; Nick Lang and James Brossman. Her outfit alone was enough to get me interested (it really accentuated her curves) but her playful domination of the guys, licking and rubbing on them, made me even hotter. I could tell you how talented she was sexually (like fans had any doubt) but that would almost be redundant to the point of being an oxymoron given her years of excellence in the industry. Her lap dance action, foot play and other sexual activities were all well done, I only wish the music track had been turned down a couple of notches (turning down the audio altogether limits the ability to hear the moans and groans, not something I care to do). She did a technical DP with one guy and a vibrator but never the real thing (which surprised me for some reason), impaling her ass on the cock while the toy hit her pussy. It ended when she took both of their loads in her mouth and on her face, making the scene the best in many ways (especially the tease factor).

Summary: Phetish Phantasy was a decent first effort by the European branch of the company, with all the usual areas needing some spit and polish. I'm going to rate it as Recommended to all of you that have appreciated the usual Private gonzo outing, noting that the future could be very bright indeed (a pun on Mandy's stage name) with very little extra effort to improve her work. With the better part of two and a half hours of anal laced screwing by attractive gals and studly guys, most of you will find something to favor, and many of you will appreciate Mercenary Pictures' attempts to offer something a bit different for their regular audience.
