Extra's: My favorite extra was the inclusion of a series of solo masturbation sequences by the female cast. While they only lasted from about 1.5 minutes to a little over 2 minutes each, it's a good extra that I hope they expand upon in the future. There was also a 1.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Cliff Cummings that included a little extra sex but was also too short to really get into. The other extras included a double sided DVD cover (one side was advertising only), some trailers, a pop shot compilation from the scenes, and a photogallery.

Audio/Video Quality: Double Parked 13 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Alex Ladd for DVSX. The lighting was a bit low, adding some grain to the scenes, and the composition of the camera shots not always optimal for making the gals look their best but it was pretty fair in most other ways. The only other area in the visuals that bugged me was the fleshtones appearing somewhat saturated, making the cast look off at times. I saw no compression artifacts or video noise so the visuals were about average for the most part here. The stereo audio was pretty basic with little separation between the channels, limited dynamic range and not much worth mentioning.

Body of Review: Having watched a lot of gonzo porn in recent years, I've found that most companies try to carve out a niche in the market that suits their needs yet remains profitable. In general, you'll know how "hardcore" a scene is by virtue of the distribution company and director as much as who's performing. This lends a sort of stability to knowing what to expect, although results often vary according to a variety of other factors too (in a sense, relying on a box cover is foolish because of this). Today's review is on DVSX's Double Parked 13; much like the last volume (Double Parked 12), every gal gave a bit of a striptease dance before masturbating a little bit and then doing two guys of varying quality, ending in a facial after some DP (double penetration) action. This volume was helmed by Alex Ladd rather than KK so I felt that I had a good shot at a decent viewing experience given his past work. In all, it wasn't a bad volume but the talent lacked a lot in terms of spark and energy so here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting no condoms were used here:

Scene One: Katsumi, the Asian hotty on the left hand side of the front DVD cover, was up first in a scene with Nick Manning and James Deen in a bedroom. She has long been one of the reigning queens of gonzo porn, proving time and again that she can take anything a director will throw at her and do so with a flair few of her peers could hope to display. Dressed in nice lingerie that showed she was looking fitter than ever, she initially teased the camera (as per the formula) before taking one guy at each end. Nick, as always, felt the need to weaken the scene with his loud screams of dirty talk (someone please kick him in the mouth, okay?) but otherwise it was a decent display of her talent. Taking them in each hole with the DP and tasting them afterwards proven to be far too easy for her but she still showed a lot of energy as she impaled herself on their cocks.

Scene Two: Sandy Rio, a diminutive little gal with a sweet bubble butt and an all natural chest, was up next in a scene with Roge and Jazz on a couch. Her Brazilian ass was appealing and she also displayed a bit of talent but her act was also kind of mechanical, meaning she did all the usual acts (like the required DP) but only in a manner that looked like she was on the clock. There was some choking and a lot of sweaty panting but sex by the numbers isn't my type of thing. Like the other scenes, it ended with her getting a couple of loads to her face but again, with minimal energy and no chemistry, the scene fell short of what I was looking for.

Scene Three: Tamiry, a sultry brunette with her hair going all the way down to her ass, was up next as she followed the formula established by the series on a corner mattress. Her ass was also a winner with her corset and fishnet stockings enhancing her look nicely. Why she and Rio weren't displayed on the front DVD cover made little sense to me but I suppose it something to do with the fact that she was a bit rougher than average looking. Her partners were D'Monez Portella and Don Picone; a couple of guys I'm not familiar with, and I'm sure she is very popular in her home country of Portugal. On a positive note, she appeared to be on fire when they started offering her their meat, spitting and sucking like she was on the bonus plan. When they took to banging her pussy and ass in the DP, she relished every second of it and kept up with them pump for pump, unlike most of the others in the show. In all, there was a lot of energy and chemistry with this trio, even if they weren't the best looking in the movie.

Scene Four: Veronica Bella, another brunette from Portugal but this time with a more attractive face, was up in a scene with Edu Costa and Jazz (I think it was Jazz; it might've been Roge). She followed the formula too but I have to give her credit for being the best dancer of the crowd with her slow wiggling working wonders for my lap. When it came to the actual screwing, she gave slower the average oral and took them inside her pussy and ass in a similar fashion at first but once she warmed up, she was a dynamo. In all, she never truly lived up to her potential since there was precious little chemistry.

Scene Five: Crissy Cums, the gal on the upper right hand side of the front DVD cover, came to porn from Oregon in order to have this scene with Sergio and Van Damage on a couch. She had the look of a house stripper although her tease footage wasn't all that great compared to a few of the others here. I'm not really familiar with her body of work but fans of older but lean gals will probably find her appealing on some level or another. In her favor, she had a great looking pussy but she came off as rough edged during her interview so she was fighting an uphill battle from my point of view. Her oral was okay and I wouldn't turn down a blowjob from her but it lacked the pizzazz of Tamiry or Katsumi's skin flute playing. During the vaginal, anal and DP, the guys did almost all of the work so she didn't score points there either. In all, it was a mechanical scene that offered little outside the obligated behavior.

Scene Six: Jasmine Byrne, the hotty squatting on the lower right hand side of the front DVD cover, was up last dressed in the same outfit she wore on the cover. Her partners were Brett Rockman and Chris Cannon; each ready to tear into this babe at the first opportunity they got. In terms of sexy appeal and good looks, she was the queen of the show with the cover not doing her justice. I've seen her in action several times and I knew that unless she was held back, she'd also be one of the top screws of the movie. I wished her tease footage lasted longer and I would've liked to see more of her in the extra solo scenes but she ruled during the sex with her two partners. Aggressively taking care of both of them, she never let up and appeared top enjoy the action to the point of distraction. With lots of chemistry and energy, she saved the movie from the dumps with her great work. Yum!

Summary: Double Parked 13 was worth a rating of Rent It to me due to the mixed quality of the cast in terms of how well they performed. Each gal seemed to have a specialty area where she shined at least a little over the others but there were only a couple that had the whole package going for them. The production values were okay, the extras about what I expected, and the action was as advertised but lacking chemistry in the scenes is the biggest problem that even a great director can't overcome. Sure, he can tell them what to do and how to do it but lacking that special quality that transforms a fair scene into a great one keeps the DVD from offering up the kind of material most fans clamor for. Check it out and see if you find more to like than I did but don't go in expecting a whole lot of hot sex with overly enthusiastic gals or you'll be disappointed.
