Extra's: The only real extra was the 5.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature that showed the cast and crew at work on the movie. There were no vocals during the presentation, just some music as the cast paraded around nude or as they had sex. It looked like fun but was too short for my tastes. There was also a photogallery, some trailers, and a double sided DVD cover but that's it.

Audio/Video Quality: Brazilian Island was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color in most shots with some non-anamorphic widescreen (1.85:1) work added in on occasion. The entire movie looked somewhat airbrushed with the lovely backgrounds of a tropical paradise taking center stage. There was some grain and minor video noise, most of which was the result of uneven lighting (even outdoors there were problems with shadows and the like), but I'd be misleading you to say that the gals looked bad due to compositional problems. The use of slow motion photography was my biggest pet peeve here and it certainly detracted from how hot the gals could've been but some people like that kind of thing (I don't mind it in small doses but a little goes a long way if you catch my drift). There were no compression artifacts though and the overall look of the show wasn't bad. The 2.0 Dolby Digital audio was all done in music with the occasional moan or groan. This didn't work for me either as I like to hear the gals having fun, even if it's in a foreign language. Still, it was pretty music that didn't make me want to toss a brick at the television set even if I lowered the volume to make it more like light background music in an elevator as a result.

Body of Review: Nectar Entertainment has long established themselves as shooting for the couples market by offering what tends to be called "pretty porn". That doesn't mean they always shy away from anal, lesbian, or other forms of sexual conduct women aren't typically into but the general idea is to offer a soothing soundtrack, some pretty scenery in the background, and couples engaging in acts of fornication for our viewing pleasure. The latest such release is Brazilian Island, a series of unrelated vignettes shot presumably in Brazil, even though no condoms were used. This wasn't the best work by the company I've seen (I still miss the comedy series they started awhile back) but some of you will probably enjoy it just fine. Here's a look at the scenes but since there were no cast identifiers, I couldn't provide any for you in the scenes (bad marketing strategy in my book since some might have fans wanting to see them), the up side is that no condoms were used either:

Scene One: The first scene started off with a light haired gal wearing a red & yellow bikini teasing the camera endlessly by a lagoon on the deck of a boat. She felt herself up a lot and smiled at the camera but there were no vocals here, only a music track. She was followed by a brunette doing the same thing, giving some tease in slow motion (no a bad thing in limited quantities, and both weren't ugly in the face, just average). The blonde disappeared though and the brunette was left to work with a generic guy who rimmed and fingered her tight ass before blew him and then they screwed vaginally. They did some anal too and he rubbed out a load on her face with the vocal track allowing for a very limited bit of moaning. It wasn't terrible but the camera work was amateurish.

Scene Two: Next up was a beautiful brunette with incredible eyes and a fantastic ass, dressed up in a white bikini and white fishnet body stockings. Like all the other gals, her tan was great and she had a sultry look that could drive men wild as her all natural body swayed about. She was joined by another generic guy (keep in mind that no one at Nectar seemed able to identify the cast so fuss at them about ID's) and the two followed the same formula for sex. Oral, vaginal, and anal before the pop shot (all done in slow motion). This was another scene that was okay to watch once but considering her great looks and body, it should've been much better.

Scene Three: The third scene had a couple of moderately attractive gals doing each other with some lesbian antics standard in the industry. The formulaic tease took place with each of them before they embraced and licked one another at various spots on the body. The deck of the boat looked like a great spot for them to get some salty taste in their mouths and they did, employing a large pink dildo for best effect. This scene seemed shorter than most of the others but it was nothing special by any means.

Scene Four: The fourth scene had had an attractive brunette tease the camera on some stairs, showing off a very nice ass, before the action began on a huge pile of rocks near the seafront. She was paired with an older guy that wasn't blessed with a large cock but she sucked him off as though it would put bread on the table. To be fair, she didn't look nearly as good here as during her tease session (a friend insists it's a different gal) but I wouldn't kick her out of bed either. She let him do most of the work in the screwing portion of the scene and the emphasis was on vaginal boning this time. She did do some anal but it wasn't all that great. The pop shot wasn't bad but it wasn't special either.

Scene Five: Last up was the hot brunette on the front of the DVD cover in her green & white bikini. Her brilliant blue eyes, all natural body, and perfect face were the best of the show and she teased on the deck of the boat until her partner showed up. The sex was the same as the other scene with a guy in them and I didn't really sense a lot of chemistry between them but I'd have torn into her for all of two or three pumps before blasting out the biggest load of my life if given the chance.

Summary: Brazilian Island was generic couples porn in most ways so I'm going to be generous and rate it as a Rent It. While I doubt it will appeal to many of you, it may be a decent introduction to harder forms of sex for your significant other that won't bother her as much due to the way the action was shot in a less explicit manner. The use of shadows and camera angles to make the scenes more acceptable might actually work better for you in this sense but as attractive as some of the gals were, none were shown to their full potential. Give it a look if you're still interested but the amount of tease for the buck was far greater than the levels of fuck for the buck compared to many other releases these days.
