Extra's: Some of you will appreciate the 3.5 minutes of bonus footage from Tory's scene more than anything else but my money was solidly on the 21 minute long Behind the Scenes feature (it had more sex, more fun, and a lot of background information on the gals as they prepared for their scenes). There was also a cumshot recap, a photogallery and the usual double sided DVD cover with covers from other PXP releases offered up (I'd rather just see John's here, and the other director's covers on their releases but that'd be a lot more work).

Audio/Video Quality: Altered Assholes 3 was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by director John Strong for distribution by Platinum X Pictures. First off, there was no watermark (some of you have asked I point that out) but the lighting wasn't as good as usual either. This caused some grain and shadows, as well as other minor visual flaws, most of which aren't regularly noticed on one of John's movies these days. The composition of the shots was another area of contention with the cameraman spending too much time zooming in on stretch marks and blemishes rather than concentrating his efforts on the more eye pleasing aspects of the female cast members. There were no compression artifacts and my overall impression of the picture was that it was average for a gonzo. The stereo English audio was about as expected though with the vocals easily heard, even if not full of separation between the channels or dynamically pleasing to the ear. You'll hear the sex sounds well enough as well as the voices but don't expect much beyond that.

Body of Review: John Strong is one of the pillars of Platinum X Pictures for his solid directing skills and heated performances with the plethora of pussy he gets to regularly pound. Women think he's one of the hottest guys around and those who meet him suggest he's pretty cool to fans as well. With all these accolades, is it any wonder that movies of his like the newly released Altered Assholes 3, get so much positive press before they even come out? Like the last in the series I had the chance to review, Altered Assholes 1, the show was all about anal sex with lots of attractive gals offering their butts up for John and friends to hammer away on. This being the 198th release by PXP, it looked like he chose the cast according to either looks or ability, with some gals having both attributes in spades. Here's a brief look at the scenes of the show, breaking it down by cast and actions they took, noting that no condoms were deployed to prevent the exchange of bodily fluids:

Scene One: Taryn Thomas, a very attractive brunette with a splendid ass, was up first as she laid back and masturbated on a bed. Her white fishnet top and blue satin panties enhanced her looks but it was her smile that worked best in this regard. John Strong was up first with her as she sucked him off slowly. He eventually became tired of just a halfhearted knob slobbing so he prepared her to bone with her on top. Summary: Altered Assholes 3 was worth a rating of Recommended for all the great gals in attendance and the heated action most of them partook in. There were some technical issues, primarily the lighting that caused some of the other problems, but the choices in casting seemed largely solid and the scenes benefited due to this factor as much as anything. John may want to spend more time polishing up his future releases since a little more work might enhance the ratings of his DVDs but I can't fault most aspects of this DVD (especially considering how weak so many titles on the gonzo market are these days).
