Extra's: The best extra by most standards will be the bonus scene between Serena Sinn (playing a dominant) and Hailey Young (playing the submissive). I can see why it didn't rate high enough to be included in the movie itself and the gals were less attractive to me but the themes were similar enough. The second best extra was the 15.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. It had the cast and crew showing off their stuff and otherwise playfully handling their life's calling. Fans of the performers will enjoy seeing the extra footage of them having sex and discussing their scenes too. There was also a photogallery and a double sided DVD cover for those who care.

Audio/Video Quality: Be My Bitch was presented in the standard 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as most porn is these days. The picture was decent and showed some improvement over previous releases by Jake with nice lighting, solid composition of most shots (making the women look more appealing than usual), and good fleshtones. There was a small, light watermark with the Red Light District logo on the bottom right hand corner of the picture but few people seem to mind it these days considering the amount of fuck for the buck being offered and the understanding that piracy is so prevalent. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 stereo English and was generally well done although it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for a gonzo production. I could hear the gals moan, groan, and talk dirty so I was pleased with it but there wasn't much (if any) separation between the channels and the dynamic range wasn't all that great either.

Body of Review: Jake Malone is one of those directors that you'll either appreciate or hate with little middle ground in my opinion. His attitude towards women (at least in the various behind the scenes features I've watched) seems somewhat closer to Attila the Hun than Candida Royalle although it may just be an act. Essentially, he treats women as property to be abused rather than sexy playthings to mutually satisfy each other with and that plays well into the current focus on gonzo sex in porn. The latest offering of his on DVD is Be My Bitch, a series of lesbian sex acts with each scene having one gal dominating the other. It actually worked pretty well in most cases, even if I'm less into the BDSM scene than some of you out there. Here's a quick look at the scenes on the DVD, noting that some of the gals gave outstanding performances:

Scene One: Sammy Rhodes and Hillary Scott, a couple of lean bleached blondes wearing fetish attire including fishnet stockings, latex and stripper platform shoes were up first to establish the formula of the show. Sammy was dominant and Hillary was her slave, each playing out the role with a lot of gusto in a cavernous hallway to start off. They eventually went to a neon purple couch and used toys other than Sammy's paddle, with Hillary's ass as the main target of the plastic devices (lots of ATM too). In all, it was a pretty well done scene and Jake's desire to see the gals really work their roles to the max was evident at every turn. The dirty talk also managed to elevate the action and the energy levels were very high between the two.

Scene Two: Kara Mynor, wearing a leather face mask and acting like a foot stool, used her pretty blue eyes to coax some sympathy with her ass in the air as dominant Ariana Jollee used all her dominant traits to explore her sexuality in the large living room. Jake lowered the heat here by joining in a bit but thankfully, he kept it to a minimum here. This scene seemed more focused on toy use, especially large toys, and all of Kara's holes got some play. The ending was kind of weird because after the usual face sitting done earlier, Kara used a squirt gun type device to fill Ariana's ass with water and got to receive it from the ass as Ariana shat it out. Again, there was some solid energy here although they lacked the playfulness of the initial scene at times.

Scene Three: Leah Luv, the submissive thanks to losing a game of rock/paper/scissors in the BTS feature, was the submissive to skinny Kat's whims this time in a dining room scene. The domination theme wasn't as well played here but the generic lesbian action worked well enough. They moved to the living room floor as they employed a series of toys on one another but most of the time they seemed content with some dirty talk and eating one another out. Kat's not my favorite performer but I can see why some of you perverts appreciate her and the scene will likely fulfill your stroking needs almost as well as the other scenes will.

Scene Four: Sinn Sage, the slave girl on the front DVD cover, was up next with porn veteran Mika Tan in a scene taking place in the living room by the couch in front of the fireplace. Mika was looking pretty good herself, introducing pain as a means to enhance Sinn's pleasure; starting with some nipple clamps. Sinn's red PVC corset matched well against Mika's long black gloves and purple outfit but it was always clear that Mika was in charge of the young newbie "pain slut". Their scene was less energetic but had an enhanced method of tease and sultry mannerisms that were a nice contrast to the other scenes. Mika's use of a strap on dildo was skillful and conveyed a sense of having a penis better than the director usually seems to have in his own scenes (usually in the BTS section of his movies). In all, it was a very well done scene that had as much replay value as any of the earlier scenes.

Scene Five: Sandra Romain and Melissa Lauren, two of the most recognized gals in hardcore porn today with black hair, lean bodies, and sweet curves enhanced by their willingness to do it all before a camera, were up last in a scene that began with them putting on their fetish outfits (Sandra in black and Melissa in red). The emphasis here was not on a willing compliance so much as a winner takes it all catfight where they fought in a fairly realistic little battle on the floor (hair pulling, wrestling, spitting and girlie punching included). Sandra won and beat up on her partner, coaxing her into submission part way through by combining the spanking and slapping with some pleasing licking (then a taste of the flogger). There was more of an anal emphasis when the toys came out to play but it was also a great scene in many ways.

Bonus Scene: Hailey Young, a skinny gal with a plain face and a skanky dominant gal, Serena Sinn, were up in the extras section of the show. The action was nothing special but fans of gals dominating other gals will likely appreciate the face sitting, toy use, and spanking with a hair brush shown here. It lasted the better part of ten minutes and wasn't terrible, just limited to me.

Summary: Be My Bitch may not be the best lesbian show I've seen in recent months but it did make for a nice change of pace with the gals often adding some great heat by virtue of their role playing activities. The technical aspects of the show were well done and the gals were all good choices for this type of movie; with some decent diversity in the kinds of domination displayed. Jake Malone fits in well with Red Light District and while I generally don't get off to his attitude shown in the movies (character or not), he does seem to be well received in a way most of his associates tend to shy away from (Brandon Iron tends to be rougher but there's never a doubt that he adores women as an example). I'm going to rate this one as Recommended for fans of hardcore lesbian action but I think a lot of others will appreciate the show as well given the amount of fuck for the buck here.
