Extra's: This being a gonzo styled reality show, there was no Behind the Scenes feature (which sucked because Wicked Pictures is the industry leader in them), but there were two bonus scenes from earlier volumes in the series. The first was a little rendezvous between Nicole Sheridan, Ashley Long, and Voodoo that had some chemistry between the performers. The second was from Road Trixxx 2 and had Devinn, Aria and Lee boinking like bedroom buddies (so I described it below). There were numerous photogalleries, trailers (though they forgot to include one for their biggest hit of the year, Camp Cuddly Pines), some promotional reels, and the usual DVD Rom material like the awards special, company profile, casino game, and desktop backgrounds, along with the new cardboard protective sleeve they offer on the DVD itself. It was a light package of extras for a Wicked Pictures release, especially if you've already seen the two bonus scenes previously.

Audio/Video Quality: Road Trixxx Vol. 3 was presented in the original 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in. Visually, the movie was well done with solid lighting, little grain in the outdoor scenes, and some interesting camera angles that aren't usually employed in porn. There were some rough spots and this added an air of authenticity to the show as though it were really spontaneous. The audio was presented in the usual 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround that Wicked Pictures has been using for a while now but most of the vocals came from the center channel and little separation was noticed (as well as limited dynamic range). I'm willing to bet that the show was originally recorded in monaural or a limited stereo and later enhanced a bit to register as a true 5.1 but you wouldn't know it from the sound of it. The biggest problem was the wind noise in most of the scenes getting in the way of the vocals but it did seem more real because of it. There was also a 2.0 Dolby Digital German track and a similar Spanish track but my exposure to each was limited in school so I didn't bother to listen for long to either. In short, they sounded okay for dubbed tracks but those of you who know the languages will be better equipped to evaluate such tracks.

Body of Review: Most people think of April 15th as the deadline to send in their income taxes but thanks to the latest release from director Devinn Lane for Wicked Pictures, you now have something better to remind of that dreary day in 2005; Road Trixxx Vol. 3. The movie was much like Road Trixxx 2 in that it took a small cast and brought them to a nature location where they screwed each other in the semi-private environment, this time a national park on a lake with a 70 foot houseboat providing the accommodations. Interestingly, when I picked this DVD up for review, I learned that Devinn had left Wicked Pictures after a lengthy run as both director and performer. I know some of you have suggested she was long overdue for the heave ho (pun intended) but while she got into porn late in life (starting off with lesbian only action) and stayed far longer than average, fans of MILF action had a lot to like regarding the curvy gal. That said, here's a brief look at the five scenes of the movie, none of which broke new ground but all of which had some fun going on:

Scene One: Nicole Sheridan, the blonde on the front DVD cover with the red & white striped bikini top, Shy Love, the implanted brunette not found on the cover, Voodoo, and Kris Slater, were up first as they played on the deck of the boat. I thought the gals did a decent job of blowing the men and fans of titty fucking will appreciate that some took place in the scene too but it was the active riding by the gals that drew the most attention from me. Both Shy and Nicole seemed to be competing for the best pumping action and as the judge (in this review at least), I had to suggest it was too close to call. Voodoo blew his load to Shy's backside while Kris jerked out a load onto Nicole's breasts but it was a good scene for all its limitations.

Scene Two: Shy Love and Nicole Sheridan, both up after a night of partying on the boat, wore braided hair as they set off onto the desert shore. They found a large rock (sounds comfortable, yes?) to lay on as they had a lesbian scene together. There was box licking and fingering with all sorts of groaning here and the couple appeared to get off at least once for the camera. They had a single vibrator to use but the scene was kind of "by the numbers" so it really didn't manage to work all that well for me.

Scene Three: Teena Fine, the blonde on the lower left hand side of the front DVD cover, was up next on a parked jet ski on the shore with Kris Slater. Her tanned ass looked incredibly sexy as she bent over to blow him in her neon green thong bikini but that was just a warm up for the action to come. He went down on her too before the two screwed vaginally on the padded cushion of the jet ski. I liked how she pumped up and down on his shaft as the others watched but it seemed kind of basic to me. It then ended when he jerked his jism onto her chest. If you like the basics, the scene will work for you but it really didn't show any chemistry this time.

Scene Four: Taryn Thomas (the brunette on the lower right hand corner of the front DVD cover), finally joined the cast when she was shipped in to the delight of Randy Spears. After a group discussion with director Devinn, Nicole Sheridan fluffed him while Teena orally worked over Voodoo; Taryn joining Nicole for a suckfest. Taryn, Nicole, Randy and Voodoo ended up the only people boning here with Taryn showing the most energy. It wasn't a bad scene but it reminded me of a weaker version of Shane's World at times.

Scene Five: Taryn Thomas, Teena Fine, Nicole Sheridan, Shy Love, Kris Slater, and Voodoo, finished out the movie on the shore with an all oral scene as the gals blew the guys to completion. It wasn't bad as an oral scene but as a closing scene, I thought it was a bad idea, even though Teena did a handsome job of it. I just felt cheated somehow that they didn't get really wild and the fact that Devinn didn't join in was weak too.

Bonus Scene 2: Road Trixxx 2: Devinn Lane, one of the gals that I've long thought was under rated in porn, and Aria began by jumping in the bathtub together to get dirty and clean at the same time. Muscular Lee Stone joined them and after some solid back and forth oral between the gals, he took to plugging Aria's pussy like a maniac. Devinn took some of his monster meat too and I had to admit that the camera angles looked interesting compared to most porn in this category. The gals ended the scene with a bit of cum swapping you generally won't find on most Wicked Pictures releases.

Summary: Road Trixxx Vol. 3 had some decent screwing and blowing with good production values but unless you're a huge fan of reality television styled porn, you'll probably think it was worth a rating of Rent It too. Now that Devinn is on her own after so many years, I hope she offers up something more exciting than this for fans since her recent statements about condoms being the only factor she intended on changing mystified me. To me, the inclusion or exclusion of a piece of latex isn't even close to being the arbitrary factor making a movie better (or worse) so I hope she has a few more tricks up her sleeve than that if she hopes to make it in the field of gonzo (which is so overcrowded these days that a veritable newcomer can be all but assured of falling short in terms of how hardcore, how circus act oriented, or how special unless they have a unique vision to follow). I wish her well in her move away from such a well known company but I'm wondering what she intends to bring to the mix in the future. Good luck!
