Extra's: The best extra was a 22 minute long Behind the Scenes feature where the cast and crew got a chance to experience a sneaky cameraman as he obtained some great footage. Seriously though, there was extra nudity and sex as well as some funny moment sot enjoy for fans of the cast. There was also a photogallery, some trailers, and a double sided DVD cover along with the usual spam.

Audio/Video Quality: Psychotic was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Nikki Hunter for Python Pictures. The emphasis this time was on mood lighting and smoke rather than a crystal clear picture but it looked pretty clear just the same. There was some minor grain and pattern noise but nothing that got in the way of the sexuality on display in the movie. The fleshtones were accurate, the composition of the scenes often very nicely handled, and the visuals could truly be said to have conveyed the sense of depravity Nikki offered up. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English. There didn't seem to be any separation between the channels and the dynamic range was limited but the moody music and passionate vocals all seemed to work well with the visuals. In general, the technical attributes were edgy to the point that they achieved what they were going for, even if they weren't technically polished and perfect.

Body of Review: I see a lot of porn that tries to push the envelop more than a little bit in an effort to differentiate itself from the 12,000 other titles made each year. Most of them rely on star power or some specific fetish to do this while others attempt to combine a talented performer with a sense of the absurd. The latest such title is Nikki Hunter's Psychotic, a movie that offers up a group of women that appear to be sexually crazed with a bad attitude that has them thinking they own their partners. While this may be true (women have long seemed to think of their sex partners as chattel), Nikki took some serious chances with this one since done improperly, the viewer would dismiss it as lame. Thankfully, she came off as a true psychotic, as did her female friends, making this a passionate movie to enjoy repeatedly. Here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms weren't used:

Scene One: Nicki Hunter, the star on the front DVD cover and director, was up first dressed in fetish attire and being manhandled by James Dean and Kris Slater in a red toned dungeon. They slapped her around and she responded by sucking them off like a seasoned sex worker. Fans of rough sex will love how they throat fucked her and otherwise abused her with spit flying all over and everything. After some titty fucking and foul language, they screwed her pussy and ass with some serious DP action to boot. Essentially, she had few, if any, limits here as she sucked them clean regardless of the hole they boned and they was even hole swapping (going from ass to pussy and vice versa) with taste testing. They ended it with a couple of healthy loads to her face and leaving her discarded like yesterday's trash.

Scene Two: Cindy Crawford, the bleach blonde known as a former JKP contract gal, and lean Brandi Lyons, were up next in a scene with Marcos Leon after telling the camera how psychotic they were and that men would suffer. The setting was a smoky room with atmospheric lighting and Marcos looking like he was in trouble as Brandi smoked a cigarette and Cindy played with a large snake (a boa constrictor by the looks of it). Her fishnet top and collar were interesting as was the way she squirmed about on the wet stage. The make up was whorish but this added to the thematic elements as the gals played with the men as if they were slabs of meat. The idea was to make the men pay so the guys were subjected to the abuse this time, though they received some solid oral and good rides as part of their journey. This was the longest scene and had a lot of extra kink to it, from the candlewax to the anal to the DPs. They all got sweaty and nasty with lots of dirty talk to boot. It ended with loads to Julie's mouth that were cum swapped to Nikki and back (and floor licking for those who care).

Summary: Psychotic surprised me with a bunch of gals doing some nasty stuff with mostly generic males. The technical matters could've used some polishing up but the gals were all in top form and did a lot of things that enhanced their performances a lot. There was also a nice cross section of women to pick from but it was the energy and chemistry of director Nikki Hunter that kept it all together so well. I've seen edgier movies, kinkier movies, and even "better" movies but I thought this one was worth a rating of Highly Recommended for all it tried to do while taking those chances mentioned above. In an industry where the saying "no guts, no glory" has been replaced by "lets not offend anyone too much"; Psychotic managed to work wonders for my libido and come off as a vision more than a formulaic porno. I look forward to seeing what else Nikki has to offer as a director in the future.
