Extra's: Well, aside from the fact that there weren't the advertised "10 scenes" but only 9 scenes (and a photoset where Monika had sex with a couple of guys for 6 minutes), the selections here were rather bleak. There were four magazine photosets (plus the aforementioned one), a set of cast biographies for some of the performers, a single trailer, and some scene details. That's it; no double sided DVD cover or interviews (at least a separate one as other releases like this have had) or anything else.

Audio/Video Quality: The Private Story of Monika Sweetheart was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame but a few of the scenes were displayed in their original widescreen format too. The lighting was generally solid with little grain, some special effects like slow motion, and a fair amount of clarity most of the time. The composition of the shots wasn't always flattering to Monika but other than minor issues with color saturation and the limitations of her duration onscreen, I wasn't all that pissed off about it. The 2.0 Dolby Digital audio was presented in English as the main track although there was a choice of several languages and subtitles as Private is known for. The audio was basic with no substantial separation between the channels or great dynamic range so don't buy it to test drive your audio system.

Body of Review: Fans of the Private Life compilations like Jodie Moore, Sandy Styles, Julie Silver, Petra Short, Monique Covet, Stacy Silver, Jessica May, Sandra Iron,Rita Faltoyano, Bettina, Jane Darling, Kate More, Wanda Curtis, Michelle Wild, and Silvia Lancome have often commented to me that they were some of the best compilations they had ever seen in porn, although that was before they started running out of steam (some of the latter gals in the series barely worked for the company). The alternative compilation series designed for gals working even fewer scenes has been the Private Story series such as today's review of The Private Story of Monika Sweetheart; the sixth in the series. It had a number of scenes with Monika Sweetheart in them, much like the Private Story of Bobbi Eden did for that starlet. The interview sessions between the scenes were very short and other than learning established facts like Monika being from the Czech Republic where it's cold, that she left the porn business during the HIV scare but came back, and that she has some secret plan for her career path, there wasn't a lot to care about. That said, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action for those of you that appreciate this hotty:

Scene One: Call Girl: 10/1999: D-Antonio Adamo: Monika Sweetheart, the hotty on the front DVD cover (but looking far better), Brigitte, Peggy Sue, Philippe Dean, Bruno SX, and Frank Gun, had a stylish scene in a nightclub setting. She sported black hair and wasn't even the lead in the scene but I liked her nonetheless. The scene had oral, vaginal, and anal sex to enjoy but in terms of Monika action it was as limited as you'd expect her first scene for Private to be.

Scene Two: Call Girl: 10/1999: D-Antonio Adamo: Monika Sweetheart, Lisa Crawford, Caroline, Bruno SX, Eric Leroi, and Richard Langin, were up again in another orgy scene but this time in a large, fancy living room with Silvia Saint watching the action. Once again the other gals did most of the sexual action here with Monika giving some head but the others doing vaginal, anal and DP before the inevitable facials. I was hoping the DVD was going to get better since I really like Monika and hate seeing her weaker scenes offered up this way.

Scene Three: Sex Trip: 12/1999: D-Jean Yves LeCastel: Monika Sweetheart, again with darker hair but also wearing glasses, took on David Perry, in this scene from the Matador series (it was in #5) that took place on a bed. Essentially, it was a photoshoot at first but proceeded to become a generic scene with her wearing some nice lingerie. To me, this was the first "real" scene with her in it since she was the focal point and not a bit player. After some striptease action, she coaxed him into joining her on the bed with Robert Rosenberg providing backup in the oral and DP. They ended it with a large load to her lovely face (and glasses) and while it seemed mechanical, she was looking better here.

Scene Four: The Academy: 5/2000: D-Frank Thring: Monika Sweetheart, Katy, Tamara N'Joy, Sandra Russo, Daniella Rush, and David Perry, where the gals were getting a lesson in male anatomy as they sat around a large conference room table with the sun shining outside the window. Monika had long black hair this time and was playful in her oral ministrations to his shaft but she was being guided in the act so it wasn't as fun. He then went from gal to lined up gal, boning their asses with another gal sucking him off a bit, before he pumped out a small load that the gals swapped slightly.

Scene Five: The Academy: 5/2000: D-Frank Thring: Monika Sweetheart, Monica Moore, Sandra Russo, Zita, George, and Tomas Stone, were up in still another orgy scene where they all partnered up with some switching around, while wearing fetish attire (Monika wore a peach and black shiny leather outfit that she didn't like according to the interview). There was oral, vaginal, and some lesbian action going on with others doing anal before she took a DP but it was definitely mechanical sex with no chemistry.

Scene Six: Surf Fuckers: 6/2003: D-Gazzman: Monika Sweetheart, Elaine, Tony De Sergio, and Steve Hooper, were up in a scene shot in Jamaica (and the Dominican Republic). This scene was shot after she returned to Private after working elsewhere, sporting lt brown hair, as the foursome split into two couples in a cabana. The gals were energetic and it was the first scene of the movie that I enjoyed more than a little bit. She did a DP here too but the camera angles weren't the best in the small room to showcase her as nicely as I would have liked. It ended when the guys popped off on the chests of the gals.

Scene Seven: Surf Fuckers: 6/2003: D-Gazzman: Monika Sweetheart and Jessica Fiorentino were up next as they engaged in lesbian sex on a beach together. Jessica wasn't looking as good as usual but Monika shined as a hotty in the midday sun. There was a strap on dildo and some licking but that was all I got to see of her here.

Scene Eight: Sluts in the Sun: 6/2003: D-Tony De Sergio & Steve Hooper: Monika Sweetheart, Tony De Sergio, and Steve Hooper had the final scene of the movie proper that was actually filmed during Surf Fuckers. It was a threesome filmed on a deck where the guys referred to Monika's upcoming scene with Jessica (the last one I broke down) and had Monika looking great in the afternoon sun on the deck. They sucked, boned and groaned with some DP footage taking place before they rubbed out loads onto her lovely face.

Scene Nine (Exclusive Scene): The Ocean: 11/2004: D-Juan Carlos Jesus Villalobos: Monika Sweetheart and Toni Ribas, had the bonus scene where the couple played together on a beach. It was letterboxed and they looked great together but it only lasted about 15 minutes with some oral and vaginal to show for it.

Summary: The Private Story of Monika Sweetheart left me with mixed feelings since I've long appreciated this young cutie but also recognize her work for other companies eclipsed that of her Private material by a substantial margin. Still, it was cool to see a collection of her works from older to newer here so I gave the DVD a rating of Rent It, even having seen most of the scenes previously. I hope Private concentrated on providing better compilations of the performers in the future (they certainly have the material for it) but I understand the limitations of the vaults (unless Private teams up with other companies as I've suggested in the recent past). Give this one a look if you don't have the listed titles and decide for yourself if it's worth buying but don't expect the best Private has to offer.
