Extra's: For me, the best extra this time was the 13.5 minute long section of striptease footage by the gals. It was solid material and well worth using to pleasure yourselves, unlike the minute or so of photoshoot footage that barely touched on the subject. I also really liked the 30.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Juan Cuba that gave most of the cast and crew a chance to make nice in front of the camera. A few of them were less friendly than others (like Taryn Thomas at the end of it) but there was extra sex and nudity with some nice stroke material here too. There was a pop shot recap, a photogallery and a double sided DVD cover too.

Audio/Video Quality: Anal Expedition 8 was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally shot by director Manuel Ferrara for release by Red Light District. The lighting could've been a bit better as it led to some extra grain but this was far more pleasing to the eye than most gonzo made at this time by other companies. There was no moiré and the fleshtones looked very accurate with the composition of the shots always enhancing the look of the gals. There were no compression artifacts observed and I thought the visual qualities of the show were well handled. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English audio track was about the same as always with the vocals heard easily enough, even if there was no separation between the channels and the dynamic range wasn't anything special.

Body of Review: Manuel Ferrara has long been one of the most sought after studs in porn but he recent work behind the camera merits some discussion too. In short, he has a knack for providing his editor with some great footage that is then converted into a hot scene (on average) and a quality that gets the gals all excited in his movies. His latest release is Anal Expedition 8, the most recent volume in the series that I last reviewed with Anal Expedition #5. A great many others have found this series to be well handled and this volume also offered up some superior screwing by the attractive women with limited exceptions. Here's a quick breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that all the scenes had anal and none of the men wore condoms:

Scene One: Cindy Crawford, the bleached blonde on the front DVD cover, was up first as she told the camera how horny she was in her fetish attire. It's hard to believe that a large portion of her work was at a company focused on couples movies but now that she's in the big leagues, guys like partner Michael Stefano can truly put her through the paces. Showing off her curvy ass , her tease alone was worth watching this scene for and Michael seemed to take a liking to her ass as much as I did, sucking it and readying her hole with his hand. They kissed, he boned her a little bit, and then she sucked him clean of all her juices like a seasoned champion. She sure was a lot more talented than I've seen in her JKP releases, especially with the anal and ATM that followed afterwards. The scene lasted about a half hour and she could've been more active at taking the dick but it was a great start to the movie in my opinion, ending with a load to her face and mouth.

Scene Two: Annie Cruz, a lean little Asian gal wearing a red fishnet top and white short shorts as she teased Manuel Ferrara with some posing and begging for sex. She gave him a POV (point of view) blowjob before he planted his dick in her tight little ass, much to her pleasured gaze. They then went inside the large living room to join Brooke Haven, Mr. Pete, and Michael Stefano, who were well underway in their own scene that included oral and anal for starters. Pete took on Annie while Michael boned Brooke with the gals licking one another for good measure. This eventually led to Annie doing a heated DP but the partners all swapped out in different combinations throughout the scene. The guys rubbed out loads to the gal's mouths and they swapped the loads before Annie swallowed them down whole.

Scene Three: Sierra Sinn, a skinny gal with dark brown/reddish hair, was wearing some interesting lingerie including fishnet stockings and a blue anal plug as she barked on command for Michael Stefano. She licked Manuel's feet and Michael started working her over with some spanking, licking, and toy play after that. She did ATM on the anal plug and he began to solidly bone her tight ass as she begged for more. She then crawled over to Tee Reel for another round of hardcore loving, claiming to love big black cocks as she proved it with some gagging oral on his shaft. She then crawled over to Erik Everhard on the couch and soon enough; she was taking care of all of them with an enthusiasm missing from many gals in the business. They DP'ed her and rubbed out loads onto her tongue which she swallowed down much like Annie and Cindy did before her.

Scene Four: Taryn Thomas, a very attractive brunette that has been extremely busy of late, was dressed up in a black outfit that truly accentuated her curvy figure and great ass. She toyed with Manuel Ferrara and Michael Stefano, before giving it up to them with oral, vaginal, anal and DP action. I liked her intense look when she locked eyes with Manuel but while she was great looking eye candy, she seemed distant and unwilling to actively participate in the sex. That meant that the guys had to pick up the slack for her; a factor that lowered the heat for me as always. She can truly tear up the small screen so I was surprised at the weakness of the scene but fans will accept that everyone has an off day. It ended with two loads swallowed down easily but this was her worst scene I've watched.

Scene Five: Missy Monroe, now with dark hair and her ass in the air with some large anal beads in her ass, and hotty Dillan Lauren, dressed in a red corset and black thong, were up last with Manuel Ferrara. The scene initially was full of lesbian action as Dillan dominated Missy but both took care of his shaft with some double teaming action. This was a solid oral portion as they fought over it but they got to ride him soon after that as he hammered away at their ass's one at a time. In all, they were among the nicest combination of looks and sexual skill in the movie but also for chemistry, enthusiasm, and passion. It ended when he jerked off to their faces and they swapped it but there was no obvious swallowing this time.

Summary: Anal Expedition 8 had four very solid scenes (out of five) and some decent extras that added some value to the DVD. The fuck for the buck quotient was above average here as were the technical values so I rated it as a Recommended although fans of the cast may want to elevate this a bit based on their devotion to the ladies. Manuel has been on a roll this year with some great work under his belt so it's fitting that he continues to improve as time goes by. I was surprised by Taryn's scene since I've come to look to her for very high quality scenes but as I said; even the best performers have an off day from time to time. Like most Red Light District releases, the quality of the DVD was well worth the price of entry so check it out and have yourself a very merry Christmas with this one.
