Audio/Video Quality: KSEX 1 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally shot for internet broadcast. The lighting was solid and flat in most cases and that added to the fun of the scenes as the picture was far better than I imagined it would be. There wasn't a lot of grain or video noise and the DVD had no compression artifacts. The stereo audio was done up in Dolby Digital stereo but it sounded like a monaural presentation most of the time.

Body of Review: For those that have been under a rock for the last several years, there's an internet radio show known as KSEX that has a lot of porn stars discussing topics of interest during the night time hours. The actual line up of shows varies from time to time but the idea is that performers often are more than just meat puppets; often having lots to say about life, the universe, and everything. It doesn't hurt one bit that many of them disrobe for the show and occasionally have sex for the audience (which is typically the biggest selling point of the show) but the spontaneity of the shows is solid enough that I admit to listening in on a regular basis, entering the chatroom when I'm not busy knocking out reviews. Today's review of KSEX 1: Sexual Frequency is the first chance I've had to see of the show since I'm not a subscriber but I thought it was fun to watch, had some pleasing sex scenes, and was easily worth checking out as a series for those who enjoy something out of the ordinary. That said, here's a look at the antics of Wankus and the others here as they entertained the masses in this collected set of scenes from the show:

Scene One: Shayna Knight, Katie Morgan, and Scotty Lyons, were up first with Katie blowing Scotty, him going down on her in return, then the two screwing before Shayna jumped Scotty on the red couch. Shayna got a bit of bone for her own and he popped off nicely.

Scene Two: Felecia Foxx, the hotty brunette on the right side of the front DVD cover (beside Kylie Ireland), had a scene with Steve Hatcher. She gave one of her trademark blowjobs that fans seem to adore (rightfully so I might add) and this led to him returning the favor and screwing her on the couch during her Lust For Life show with her suitcase pimp husband. I'll admit that I haven't seen a lot of her in recent years of reviewing but she's clearly one of the best kept secrets of porn despite Mike South's best marketing efforts.

Scene Three: Dominica Leoni, a very attractive cutie, and comedian Wankus, were up next in the back office where he offered to bring her onto the show with some lessons. She gave him a few lessons in oral that worked well enough coax out a load all over her face.

Scene Four: Catalina and Desire Moore were up next in a skit about Porn Star 101. It wasn't truly a sex scene but had some sexual overtones as the two prepared for a scene and the viewer got to see a closet full of stripper clothes and shoes.

Scene Five: Kylie Ireland, Julie Night, and Van Damage, were up next as the gals blew him soundly; sharing his penis like long lost sisters. Kylie was the sexual aggressor here and as a result gave the lion's share of the head but the strength of the scene was more about the fun the trio had on the floor of the studio than the mechanical porn sex you'd normally see them engage in a regular porno. They also screwed with Kylie on vaginal and Julie giving up her ass but the dildo play added to the kink factor nicely, elevating the heat for me.

Scene Six: Carmen Luvana and Tera Patrick, were up next in an archival scene from a while back. Sadly, they didn't show the whole thing although that would've added greatly to the sale value of the DVD.

Scene Seven: Cytherea, the well known piss queen (some would say squirt queen), was up next as she let loose during a solo scene while sitting next to Gauge and talking with Quasarman. This was another scene that would've worked better if more context were included.

Scene Eight: KSEX Daisy and Paige Turner, were up last as they had a full on lesbian scene in the back room using dildos and other toys to get off with. It wasn't nearly as much fun as what a few of the other scenes would've offered but I'd have joined in if given the chance.

Summary: KSEX 1 did not exploit the medium of DVD nearly as well as I would have preferred in that it used clips of the most popular performers rather than their best sexual performances. The most notable of these being the popular Tera Patrick but some of the others come to mind too. In that sense, I was left hanging and wanting more but the sex included was decent enough with good replay value so it balanced out. Of particular note were some of the comedic bits by people such as Wankus and Mike Quasar; both of whom have their supporters and detractors yet managed to lighten up the mood nearly as well as the little pop up subtitles that added a lot to the funny bits the DJ's offered up. I'm going to rate this one as Recommended although if this becomes a series, I hope more care is used to provide the best shows and not cut the short (like Felecia Fox's controversy about a Tennessee strip club incident and Gauge's feud with Metro Interactive that were current when the shows were recorded). Check the DVD out for some funny moments and decent sex that was fairly unpredictable.
