Audio/Video Quality: Obsession was presented in the original 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Bridgette Kerkove for release under the Loaded Digital line for Metro Interactive (though the FusXion logo started off the flick). Using Jim Lane as a cameraman proved to assist the project in most cases since the veteran director has a decent idea of what works and what doesn't on camera but some of the lighting was off and the static nature of the scenes hindered the heat in more than a few cases. There wasn't a lot of grain or video noise but the composition of the shots wasn't always beneficial to the look of the ladies. At least there were no compression artifacts to contend with and the overall impression I got from the visual elements was slightly favorable. The audio was presented in the typical 2.0 Dolby Digital but it was as plain as could be with no separation between the channels and the vocals tended towards the hollow side.

Body of Review: Director Bridgette Kerkove has been in the gossip columns quite a bit lately but this really shouldn't bother fans of the performer turned director since she employs a crew that reasonably emulates the work her husband did for her when they were together. This can be a good thing or bad thing, depending on if you like her formulaic style. Her latest release under Metro's Loaded Digital line is Obsession with no reference to the popular perfume in sight. Essentially, the movie was a hardcore offering of anal themed vignettes were the gals did all you'd expect in a willing manner, using their varied skills to milk out some heated loads. If that's what you're looking for, you've come to the right place. Here's a quick breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Audrey Hollander, with gal with kinky red hair and a nasty disposition towards doing anything asked of her sexually, was up first as she set the stage of the scene. She teased the camera in her slutty lingerie, including a black & white corset, black PVC boots, and fishnet stockings, on the couch before being joined by Trent Tesoro. She was compliant with his desires though it was all handled nonverbally with him going down on her first before she gave him some mighty fine head. The majority of the scene after that was him slamming his dick deep inside her ass in a host of different positions. She did vaginal too but her strength has long been anal and she proved it here. The energy of the scene came off as mechanical but I had no doubt that she was into the sex for money aspect as more than a job.

Scene Two: Melissa Lauren, a bleached blonde with pretty eyes and a nice body, was up next as she posed in her impossibly high boots and matching fetishware, with Otto Bauer and Alec Knight, ready to pounce on her all natural body. I have never really enjoyed Otto's verbal line of abuse and he went into here too but she was looking good enough that I'll fix future screenings by lowering the volume of the audio track. Otherwise, the men did all that you'd expect of them as they face fucked her, drilled her holes individually, and DP'ed her with a degree of misogynist passion that belied their abuse in favor of desire. Fans will appreciate that she actively rode their shafts when able to and the ending pop shots were plentifully placed on her face and surrounding area.

Scene Three: Venus, a brunette with a slutty look, and blonde hotty Barbara Summers, were up next in a bedroom scene that played little to the tease footage by going right to Benjamin Bratt walking in and fingering Venus while Barbara gave some loving licking to the gal. The sex was as expected with the gals double teaming his shaft orally. This led, of course, to him hammering them anally with the gals going into a sandwich mode. I thought Barbara was the better of the two ladies sexually but Venus was easily the most vocal so your own appreciation might vary depending on what you like the most. There was a lot of lesbian licking and taste testing (primarily ATM) throughout the scene but what I enjoyed most about the scene was how the gals both participated rather than sit to the side when they weren't getting boned. It ended when he choked out a load to their faces and they cum swapped it back and forth.

Scene Four: Vanessa Lane, the lean gal on the front DVD cover, was up next as she teased the camera in her lingerie on the couch. Her lucky partner was Bad Bob; everyone's favorite production assistant. He orally worked his way over her body and she slowly warmed up as she received his attentive tonguing. Scene Five: Sandra Romain, the foreign brunette that has proven to elevate the heat of more pornos than you can shake your dick at, was up last as she brought up the rear (so to speak) with Otto Bauer. He did most of the talking (like Tony T., Nick Manning, and a couple of others known for weakening scenes to the point where I almost put it on mute) but she still gave her all from the first moment she sucked his cock to the last drop of jizz she coaxed out of his nut sack. Why she gets ragged on for looking unattractive is beyond me but she could have easily carried the cover given the appeal she had here. Summary: Obsession was one of Bridgette's better releases of late although the lack of any substantive extras ended up lowering the rating a notch. The ladies were all solid anal queens and if my breakdown of the scenes was a bit harsh, that was largely due to my experiences with how great they can be when sexually pleasing a partner on screen. I was curious why this one appeared to be made for the FusXion line given the logo at front of the movie but figure the lack of extras or other problems came into play so Metro didn't want it under their premium gonzo line. Regardless, Obsession was still fun to watch and had a lot of replay value, even with the minor issues I raised in regards to the cast so I rated it as Recommended.
