Extra's: The only extras were a slide show, some trailers, and some spam although the ending credits mentioned a Behind the Scenes feature by Tori Lane. Whatever happened to the BTS feature is a mystery to me and it's a shame that such a short movie had such weak extras.

Audio/Video Quality: Pretty Little Fuck Slaves was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Rick Davis for Excessive Entertainment. The flesh tones were accurate and the amount of grain minimal but the choppy editing and poor composition of the shots weakened the viewing pleasure of the movie. The gals were not typically shot to look their best and the settings were thrown together as though the ancient setting were discarded in favor of saving money well before the shooting began. The movie was advertised as being presented with "Ultra Bit Encoding", whatever that is, but I've seen better all over the place. The 2.0 Dolby Digital audio was even worse with the vocals all over the place. There were times when the cast could be heard and other times there was barely a whisper (yet the cast was speaking) so even the lack of separation between the channels and limited dynamic range weren't the big issues here

Body of Review: Now that director Rick Davis is shooting movies for a number of other companies, critics like me can see if his formulaic work is the result of his employer (as has been suggested in the past) or just the only method of capturing sex on video that he is capable of. To be fair, I like seeing some of his work at Cherry Boxxx on occasion but I'm not going to say I want to see a lot of it at one sitting (he follows such a strict formula that it gets boring) so I was interested in his latest work for VCA, Pretty Little Fuck Slaves, a vignette show of five scenes where the theme was an ancient Roman encampment (at least a cheap ass porno version of it) where the women were sex slaves to the men. Why bother with the trappings you ask? Well, that's a great question that was never answered for me either but I suspect the show was originally going to be another porn take off of the mainstream hit Gladiator but funding was cut. Here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms weren't used and some of the gals did anal:

Scene One: Memphis Monroe, the gal kneeling on the front DVD cover, was up first as she took care of Reno. The sex was okay but made me wonder why any thought at all was wasted on the Roman theme. They sucked and fucked together after the shortest introduction possible with her landing strip pubic hair and modern tattoos combining with the modern tattoos and dirty talk to limit the appeal of the scene. They were moderately energetic but the scene was very basic and even the ending facial seemed mechanical to me. She has some potential but it weakened the scene for me even more when he kissed her semen soaked lips.

Scene Two: Roxetta, the redhead on the far left hand side of the front DVD cover, was up next to service both John Strong and Adam Wilde in a small room. The implants aside, the tattoos forgotten, the scene showed her at least trying to instill some energy into the movie as she sucked them off with a sense of vigor missing from the last scene. Going back and forth between them, she did her best before going down on one while the other planked her from behind. Fans will likely appreciate that she also did anal sex here although not as actively as she took the men inside her wet pussy. The scene had little chemistry between the performers but it did end with a healthy dose of vitamin "S" to her face.

Scene Three: Trixie Cas, the brunette on the middle of the DVD cover (in the back of the group), was up next as she promised to "do anything" for emperor Cheyne Collins and his henchman Van Damage in another tossed together setting. While leaner and more muscular than most of the other gals, her breasts never moved (implants) and her oral skills seemed to lack any true enthusiasm. That she had a certain look to her eyes that also distracted me was only one more minor irritation but she did seem able to handle their medium sized penises okay. She was another that did anal sex as she overacted by yelling loudly. There was no DP here either as she serviced them with both ends one at a time. In all, the scene lacked any passion and that dampened it for me a lot, regardless of how large their loads were to her face.

Scene Four: Saana, the hotty blonde on the far right side of the front DVD cover, was up next as she was taken out of a cage in order to provide muscular Anthony Hardwood with some physical pleasure. She's one of the most attractive gals in porn these days though I understand why the cover art people airbrushed out her "angel" tattoo on her stomach for the cover. The oral was pretty energetic and she went right to pumping back when he entered her pussy but this was far from her best work. He switched holes to do anal but she sure didn't seem in the mood for it the day the scene was shot and the camera's tendency to zoom in for a close up and stay there was even worse here than in the other scenes (and this says a lot since Rick is known for that kind of shot to begin with). It ended with some of the usual taste testing that was found in the other scenes and the facial but as much as I liked watching her, I wanted more (and better) of the scene.

Scene Five: Cherokee, the hot little brunette seen on the second spot from the right hand side on the front cover, and Joey Hart, the cutie on the opposite side (second from the left), were up last with Grant Michaels playing an effeminate warrior seeking to punish them. Spouting such gibberish as "sharing is caring", he directed the gals to suck his cock and they came off looking rather well as he gave his junior high school level performance of Shakespeare ("suck thine balls?!?). Still, the visual appeal of the ladies was such that I liked watching them, particularly Cherokee's fine muscular figure in action as the gals sucked and fucked him silly. There was some nice lesbian loving too with the usual facial but it wasn't Cherokee's best work either (not by a long shot in fact).

Summary: Pretty Little Fuck Slaves had a fine cast of ladies, a crappy set of extras and technical values that ranged from poor to average so I rated it as a Skip It. Granted, if you find this one in the discount bins or have become a huge slavering fanboy of the cast, by all means check it out before buying your own copy but there really wasn't a lot to get into here with the choppy editing, the lack of coherent reasoning behind the settings, and the cheapskate lack of the listed behind the scenes feature. I think Rick can make some decent porn and VCA has long been providing quality porn but this was not the company's finest hour by any means.
