Extra's: The first disc had minimal extras, including a cast list, set of filmographies and a listing of the contents for the second DVD. The best extra on the second disc was the 36 minutes of extra sex footage that had been edited out of the movie for various reasons. Most of it was strokable though so fans of gonzo productions can consider it worthy of dropping several more loads to. The majority of cast had at least a little bit of extra exposure here so it will have value to the fans of the cast more than if it were limited to one or two of the ladies present. There was also a cumshot recap, a photogallery, and some trailers to shows like Service Animals 18, Service Animals 19, Service Animals 20, Hellcats 5, and Hellcats 8.

Audio/Video Quality: Hellcats 9: Special Two Disc Set was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by director Joey Silvera for Evil Angel. One of the problems with some of Joey's works in the past has been various technical limitations like lots of grain, video noise, poor camera angles, and compression artifacts but thankfully, those weren't a big issue here. There was some grain due to some of the lighting being slightly off and some noise in a few spots but with two discs to put the material on, the compression artifacts were rarely seen and even some of the flesh tones looked more accurate than usual but the compression rate used to put so much information on just two discs showed as well. There was a tiny bit of pattern noise noticed on the fishnets, some mosquito noise from time to time, and other minor flaws but the heat was almost amazingly consistent yet again. The composition of the shots was very flattering to the women in virtually all cases, showing Joey still has the touch many of us have promoted about him for years. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English but there wasn't any significant dynamic range or separation between the channels. The voices were sometimes hollow but like seeing the occasional shadow in the movie, this is to be expected in order to preserve the nearly realistic manner in which the scenes took place.

Body of Review: Joey Silvera has long been a staple in the porn world, from the performing he did as one of the dominant males years ago to the fine directing he does today. With all the changes in gonzo with directors swapping companies like some of us swap spit, he has always struck me as one of the most loyal people in the business whose word was his bond (contrast this with far too many whose memories are fleeting at best) with the kind of character that comes from deep inside. His latest movie for Evil Angel is yet another lengthy extravaganza; Hellcats 9: Non-Stop: Special Two Disc Set, where he showcases a plethora of pussy in his usual fashion by giving them a limited set up to run with on their own terms. Rather than follow a strict formula, he lets the scenes flow more naturally than most directors do this time, adding some measure of spontaneity to the action. Here's a brief breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used and the cast seemed to almost universally have a good time:

Scene One: Awkward Moment: Cherish and Cali Marie, the identical twins seen on the upper left hand side of the front DVD cover, were first at bat sporting pretty eyes and lean physiques that some men really get into. She had too much make up on but otherwise looked better than she did on the DVD cover, getting Brian Pumper, Trent Tesoro, and Broc Adams, worked up when she flashed them outside. The technical values weren't perfect but they were definitely a notch above most gonzo shows of this nature and the extras were packed in here too.
