Audio/Video Quality: My First Porn 3 was presented in a 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen color as originally shot by the very talented Robby D.. The lighting and camera style were similar to the excellent Teen America series so I knew I wouldn't have a lot to complain about here. Thanks to the proper lighting, there were very few problems with the grain or video noise that other series by the director (including the occasional volume of Jack's Playground) seem to have and this was a pleasing aspect of the show. In terms of the DVD mastering, I saw no compression artifacts, moiré, or other compression based issues. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround although the vocals were likely shot in monaural with the popular coding added in during the post production work. Still, outside of some minor periods of hollowness, I could hear what was said (along with all the usual background noise). To sum up the technical values, they were generally very well done with the kind of care expected of the folks from Digital Playground.

Body of Review: In the last few years, Digital Playground has experienced a sort of renaissance in terms of relying less on a single contract gal in favor of a number of hotties but they've also switched over to using director Robby D to the point where he's the most integral part of almost every movie they make (either openly directing or providing assistance as he works the camera). This progression of relying on him has led to a number of series spinning off of his original Jack's Playground idea about a guy wanting to make music videos, now evolved into making porn after sidestepping into the beauty contest scenario. The latest release in the series is My First Porn 3; the sequel to My First Porn 1 and My First Porn 2, where Robby plays "Jack, the son of a rich guy who cuts him off and tells him to get a job. The general idea this time is that everyone in the world gives Jack pointers on how to make a better porno, much like certain reviewers (cough) have done over the years, giving the director headaches along the way. Nothing works out like it's supposed to and he has to compromise in order to get scenes shot. The comedic elements are largely the result of voiceovers by Joey Pulgadas who does a great job when given some room to work his magic with "Leo Pradnesh" serving as the wise old Yoda of porn guiding him through the use of an electronic voice machine. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Teagan Presley, the popular contract hotty from the Houston, TX area, was up first wearing a skimpy black outfit as she slapped Scott Nails around (then measuring his cock to be 2.5 of her hands) before blowing him. Teagan's history of gonzo antics allowed her to develop a lot of skill in the oral arena and this scene proved no different in how she attended to Scott's needs with her hand and mouth. I didn't like the implant scars (the underneath kind that look like the implants were added in with a soldering iron) but as soon as Robby stopped zooming in on them, I forgot about them for the most part. She did have a nice ass though and her muscular legs added to her appeal as Scott played with it. If it was the Kurt I think it was, he was probably blowing some guy on the street corner for a couple of bucks or taking some object (live or not) up his ass. I know the front cover said the movie had "A Ho Lotta Ass!" but I figured they were referring to just Katja and Teagan until she bent over to take off her blue jeans. Summary: My First Porn 3 was not as solid an offering in the series as the previous two volumes but it was still enough to warrant a rating of Recommended from me. Teagan is always welcome in a scene and Katja is one of the most reliably hot gals in the industry so that didn't hurt the show. The comedic elements were downplayed this time, weakening it in the process as a comedy without the additional gonzo sex antics of the Teen America or Control series to replace the missing pieces. Still, while the lines between the various "Jack's Playground" series breakdown, a reevaluation of the concept might assist Robby in providing more of what fans want; more sex, great technical values, and lots of fuck for the buck all aided with some of his twisted brand of humor to set the resulting titles apart from the wasteland of generic gonzo movies littering the landscape. In general, the MFP series was bound to have a volume that wasn't as great as the first two but I still hope it gets better with time, much like the original Jack's Playground series did at first.
