Extras: The best extra included on the double disc set was 23.5 minutes worth of bonus footage from the scenes that was edited out. Most of it was worth watching and even stroking off to so don't skip it if you buy the DVD set. There was also a photogallery, a cumshot compilation to the scenes, a cast list, and trailers to movies including Service Animals 20, Service Animals 19, Service Animals 18, Strap Attack, and Hellcats 5.

Audio/Video Quality: Service Animals 22 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by director Joey Silvera for Evil Angel. One of the problems with earlier volumes in the series had been various technical limitations like lots of grain, video noise, poor camera angles, and compression artifacts and they were all present here too, but thankfully in far less obvious amounts. There was some grain due to some of the lighting being off and some noise in a few spots but with two discs to put the material on, the compression artifacts were nowhere to be seen and even some of the fleshtones looked more accurate than usual but the compression rate used to put so much information on just two discs showed as well. The composition of the shots was usually flattering to the women although much of that would still be an artistic call on my part so I can safely say that the overall visual aspects of the movie were solid. The 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo audio was presented in the usual stereo English but there wasn't any significant dynamic range or separation between the channels. The voices were sometimes hollow but like seeing the occasional shadow in the movie, this is to be expected in order to preserve the nearly realistic manner in which the scenes took place.

Body of Review: Joey Silvera has been involved in the porn industry longer than most of the current crop of female performers have been alive so it should come as no surprise that he has an idea of what works and what doesn't in his directorial efforts of late. That said, he has won many awards over the years for making quality porn and his latest epic is Service Animals 22, another double disc special edition for fans to enjoy. If you like seeing truly hardcore action, some of it too edgy for certain companies to sell online, you've come to the right place (and you'll be coming a lot if my own experience is any indication in the matter) as the gals get put through some rigorous training as they act like animals. Here's a brief breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used and that it might take you hours (if not days) to get through this one:

Scene One: Susie Ink, an all natural bleach blonde with a lot of ink on her body, was up first in what was billed as her first scene on camera. I'm going to rate this one as Highly Recommended, although I could see why many of you would go the extra step and collect it, thanks to the amount of material on the 2 disc set, the fine cast of talents gals, and the extras that helped make it all worthwhile too. The technical values were decent and I think Joey has kept the mark really high for his fellow directors in the industry (especially since so many of them provide well under two hours of footage for nearly the same price).
