Extras: The best extras for the DVD will easily be the boner footage where Maya Hills and then Valerie spent a collective 22 minutes sucking off David Luger in two separate scenes. That has long been one of his perks as a director and that he's so open about it disproves the concept of the cast couch so many talk about in hushed whispers. There was a short clip listed as Behind the Scenes footage where Claudio Meloni fell off the couch in his scene with Yazmene Fine (it was pretty funny), a photogallery, and a double sided DVD cover with covers to other titles on the second side, but that's it.

Audio/Video Quality: Teens Coming of Age #4 was presented in the original 1.33:1 aspect ratio it was shot in by director David Luger for distribution by Platinum X Pictures. The lighting was decent and this allowed the picture to remain moderately free of grain and video noise but it wasn't the very best looking show by this otherwise skilled director. There were moments that the picture was slightly sub-optimal and my common complaint about limited fill lighting remained though it still wasn't as bad as most competitors. The composition of the shots was such that it seemed to enhance the look of most of the gals too, something I suspect is largely due to David's understanding of what works and what doesn't. I saw no compression artifacts when watching it so fans should appreciate the technical matters here. The 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English audio was fairly standard with the levels set properly and the scenes bereft of music to get in the way. I could hear the cast moan, groan, and talk dirty but the dynamic range and separation between the channels was nothing special. Some of you care that there was a tiny, very light watermark for Platinum X Pictures in the lower right hand corner but I almost didn't see it so it probably won't harm your viewing pleasure.

Body of Review: David Luger was one of the best directors at Red Light District in a few ways, primarily how well he seemed to find a way to make most gals shine when they were still new to porn. All too often, porn with youthful (and inexperienced) performers is a mixed bag since far too many gals seem to think what works at getting a guy they're with off will also translate well onto the camera automatically. This seems to be the case with David's latest release for Platinum X Pictures in the movie Teens Coming of Age #4, a showcase of fresh new talent much like the last volume I watched last year, Teens Cumming of Age 2. The premise is that David shot a number of youthful performers that were new to porn, providing some stroking value to the older perverts that couldn't score such a gal absent large sums of money and gifts. In this case, the cast was more often than not a bit passive so here's the breakdown of the scenes by cast and action for those of you still interested:

Scene One: Dana Duval, a skinny bleach blonde claiming to 18 years old (though probably 19 now since her birthday is this month), was up first as she gave an interview on the couch before taking on Marco Duato/Banderas and Steve French. If you like all natural gals that look like teens, she will satisfy your needs, and this being her 6th scene was kind of cool. In terms of her sexual skill, she appeared to have more talent than average for someone her age, and she admitted to appreciating rough sex more than most. Once the guys came into the picture, she devoted all of her attention to them, sucking them both with her powerful suction technique (though only one at a time). This led to them taking turns banging her pussy as she sucked the other one (complete with PTM-pussy to mouth) until she gave up some anal to them. She did the usual ATM (ass to mouth) and managed to be almost as energetic when screwing anally as she was vaginally, proving her claims at being a sexual athlete of some magnitude. I was surprised that she didn't do a bunch of DP work but she seemed to appreciate the two facials they gave her. In all, she had some solid energy and even some chemistry with them in this decent opening scene.

Scene Two: Maya Hills, the exotic looking gal on the front DVD cover, was born on 8/21/1987 in Russia and talked about herself at the beginning of her scene with Christian. I almost wondered if David shot the scene since he kept so quiet (at first) but she seemed to be following the directions of someone behind the camera and he spoke up soon enough as she discussed her sexual repertoire. I liked her muscular tone and all natural body, it being good enough to turn on Christian to the point where he probably forgot all about any boyfriends he might have waiting for him on the set. He laid down in front of her to snack on her crack and she gave an energetic blowjob in return. She seemed more of a natural than a skilled porn veteran and that will likely appeal to many of you as well. After getting him extra hard, she climbed about his shaft to ride him enthusiastically, generating lots of heat as the two continued. They rode each other in numerous positions before she took his load into her mouth to gargle and swallow, ending the scene about 70 minutes into the movie.

Scene Three: Valerie, an 18 year old brunette with a few extra pounds of baby fat but still wonderfully lean, claimed to be in college as she rambled on and on about her resume. Kicked back on the couch, she continued by telling all about her sexual skills and history, interrupted by muscular Talon to begin the portion of the scene everyone was interested in. Scene Four: Yazmene Fine, a skinny black gal with a poor understanding of math (claiming to get all "A's" and "B's" yet having a 3.0 average), was up next to provide some interracial action and diversity to the flick with Tyler Knight and clumsy Claudio Meloni her scene partners on the couch. This was reportedly her first time with two cocks and she showed enough raw potential at handling them for a 19 year old. This gave her an edge in some ways for those of us who like to take our time savoring the experience as she toyed with them a long time before going down on them. The scene ended as expected but it was another filler scene in most ways, even though it started with some solid potential.

Scene Five: Vanessa Lynn, another chunky brunette with a pretty smile, was born on 8/6/1986 and gave her own virtual resume on the couch before taking care of John Strong and Steve Taylor. Making up for a life in boarding schools, she seemed to appreciate having a dick in her mouth and liked to give up some dirty talk as the guys took turns screwing her pussy. The down side of the scene was that she was too passive in her act, letting them do the work as though they were too much for her. I didn't care that she didn't do anal or a DP with them but I would have appreciated seeing her bounce back on their rods and aggressively ride them. Steve seemed to disappear for lengthy stretches of time as Vanessa and John hit it off with some chemistry but I could see her getting better with experience. The scene ended after she took two separate loads to her mouth and swallowed them down.

Summary: Teens Coming of Age #4 was one of those PXP titles that seemed best suited for a Rent It status thanks in large part to three of the gals being so passive when it came to the action. Granted, some of you like your women like this and to those of you out there, this will be more worthy of your time and money than mine, but in modern porn, so many gals are thrust into the action before they know what they're doing that it seems a shame to waste them so callously when a bit of work might make them more sexually interesting. If the goal is to showcase the flavor of the week types and discard them afterwards, I could see the point but it wasn't like the gals here were super beautiful or anything (admittedly though, they weren't hurting in the looks department). To sum it up, Teens Coming of Age #4 was served before it's time and definitely needed a little more seasoning on the part of the cast.
