Extras: Most of you will likely prefer the five bonus scenes (this was yet another case where none of them had the lead star, Lexie Marie. My favorite extra designed for the DVD itself was the 9 minute long Behind the Scenes feature credited to Ben Hoffman (he introduced himself too). There were two photogalleries (one starring Lexie Marie), a short text biography of Lexie Marie, a positions room, trailers for movies like The New Devil In Miss Jones, $2 Bill, ECU: Lexie and Where the Boys Aren't 17, some advertisements (that can be skipped at the front of the DVD: thanks to Vivid for listening to our pleas), and a true double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Out Of Place was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Paul Thomas for Vivid Entertainment. There wasn't a lot of grain this time, partially due to the lighting and partially due to the way that Paul went for something other than his usual "film look". Some of the camera work was spotty since the movement was way too obvious and the handheld lighting caused too many issues (parts of the scene were either too dark or too light, depending on location). The video noise was obtrusive some of the time and this was definitely not his best looking title of late. There were no compression artifacts though but the composition of the shots was mixed in terms of making the gals look their best. The 2.0 Dolby Digital audio track was hollow with no separation between the channels but I could hear the vocals well enough to know what they were saying.

Body of Review: Paul Thomas makes a lot of porn under various aliases, typically reserving the use of his "main" name for blockbusters like The New Devil In Miss Jones. Today's review is of a far smaller title made under his Chuck Lords alias called Out Of Place, starring former contract starlet Lexie Marie as well as current hotty contract gal Monique Alexander, in a movie about a couple that ends up in the "wrong part of town", punctuated by humorous little subtitles that appeared to have been added in afterwards to lighten up the sometimes dark flick. The back cover said this about the show: "When a very white couple gets lost in a very wrong brown neighborhood, they stop at the local cholo bar for directions. Well they get directions alright. Directions on how to suck off a gangsta while his friends flip their shanks and toss down Cervezas. It's dangerous sex, Latino style, with the very white Lexi Marie and that hot, skinny Monique Alexander, learning the ropes from Franco Del Torro, Marcos Leon and all the OG's of porn. Take a ride on the wild side in Chuck Lord's Out Of Place. Or should we call it "In Their Place," because that's just where these Vivid superstars get put!" If this seems interesting to you, here's a quick breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that it had some good moments:

Scene One: Cue Balls: Lexie Marie, the cutie on the front DVD cover, Nadia Styles, a lean brunette will an all natural body, and Franco Del Torro, a guy that looks like he could be Voodoo's kid brother, were up first on the pool table as the ladies licked and sucked his meat stick in a sharing manner. Nadia positioned her crotch over his face while assisting Lexie and everyone got some oral by the end of the scene. Granted, the hard slate surface of a pool table isn't the best place to screw although if either of these ladies insists, my own table is available for them to show me different. The ladies then got to ride on his shaft in their pussies, not as actively as I wanted them to but better than I've seen Lexie in far too many scenes. At some point, they even switched to the top of the bar counter (it was in a small dive of a bar) with the pop shot taking place on Lexie's abdomen.

Scene Two: Unexpected Surprise: Monique Alexander, a major babe that shames Lexie when it comes to sexual skill, was up next in the bar after she attempted to take back her painting off the wall. That she wore nothing under her coat gave all the patrons something to admire, quickly undressing her and placing her on the pool table as though they were going to gang bang her. At this point, Tommy Gunn took charge and claimed her for his own, going down on her as though she were the best tasting treat in all of little Mexico. The scene was pleasant, though not completely satisfying for me given the usual skill of Eva hampered by the attempt to place Lexie into the scene with unequal billing.

Scene Four: Hood Rat: Luscious Lopez, the brunette with the fleshy ass and legs, was up last in a scene with Tony T. on the black leather couch. There was almost certainly some footage missing from the scene since it started already underway with him hammering away at her tight pussy. This part of the scene kept going forever although he was soon tapping the premium ass as she smiled like it was feeling particularly good. I appreciated that he kept relatively quiet during the scene though I wish she had made more dirty talk with the scene ending when he unleashed a good sized load on her.

Summary: Out Of Place has some potential to be a minor hit for the former contract gal Lexie Marie but she ended up providing a performance that measured dead last compared to the other gals of the movie. Eva, Luscious, Monique and Nadia all showed more energy and heat (though this was far from the best work of any of them) and the technical limitations prevented me from giving the movie anything higher than a rating of Rent It. For a more favorable review of the DVD, click on the link below and you'll find Mistress Liss' suggestion that it was better for women and couples than average.
