Extras: The best extra was easily the 20 minute long Behind the Scenes feature since it gave each of the cast some screen time, had sex, and allowed some of them a chance to talk about their roles. There was also a photogallery, some commercials, trailers to movies like Jenna Loves Pain, Bella Loves Jenna, The Masseuse, and Krystal Method (though not Raw Desire, Steal Runway, or Jenna Loves Kobe), and a true double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Nikita's Extreme Idols was presented in the same 1.33:1 full frame color it was shot in by Laurent Sky for release by Club Jenna. Unlike most of the previous efforts for the company, the visuals were straightforward with flat lighting, accurate fleshtones, and limited special effects to try and cover up limitations of the cast and director. Yeah, the scenes could have been longer and the scenarios less staged but the composition of the camera angles enhanced the look of the ladies in most cases and only weak editing bugged me more than a few times. The audio was presented in a Dolby Digital 2.0 English with the usual lack of separation between the channels as well as limited dynamic range but the vocals could be clearly heard over the generic mood music (another positive step in my opinion).

Body of Review: These days, mainstream television spends an awful lot of time broadcasting what is referred to as Reality TV and silly contests. The ratings for the shows vary a lot but this hasn't kept the porn world from imitating the genres, offering up shows like Can You Be A Pornstar and Porn Star Idol to flatter their mainstream equivalent, American Idol. Essentially, you get a group of judges who watch porn scenes instead of singing, then rate the merits of the action's performers, much like a good porn review does. The latest attempt to cash in on this cultural phenomenon is Club Jenna's Nikita's Extreme Idols, where the long-missing Nikita heads up a panel rating four scenes, promising to have sex with the cream of the crop. It's not a bad premise and regardless of who actually directed it, the technical matters were solid with some nice twists. Here's a quick look at the scenes, noting that some of the men wore condoms:

Scene One: Brittney Skye, one of the better known blondes from Southern California, was up first with yankee Talon, on the high tech set in front of the judge's panel made of stainless steel (or brushed aluminum). They introduced themselves and quickly went to work with her sucking him off like a champion, inhaling his meat pipe in a sloppy fashion as she normally does. I could hear their enhanced vocals over the light music, with the camera angles varying as the judges took notes. For all I know, they could have been studying the Magna Carte since they appeared to sort of watch the couple in a disinterested way, though I know if I were one of them, I'd be leaving a puddle of drool much like the better singers on the mainstream show have Paula Abdul swaying to the music. After she got him fully erect, he tore into her pussy as she screamed out loud in typical, fake, porn star fashion as though his dick were something larger than she's handled (hardly!) and he lightly slapped her a few times as she called herself a "fucking little whore". She did ride him quite actively in the reverse cowgirl position before he dropped a load on her chest and face but parts of me thought it was a bit too contrived. Jay, the moderator, played it straight though Herschel's over the top imitation of Simon seemed far too hammy.

Scene Two: Barbara Summer, a 22 year old from the Czech Republic, was up next with studly Tommy Gunn. Barbara is a major hotty with some serious skill and I've seen her burn up the screen more consistently than most of the others in the movie so I was hopeful here too. She seemed to savor the taste of his dick more than Brittney did, using her hand to gland combat style and tongue to full effect as he kicked back in the easy chair. He reciprocated with oral on her after Nikita jumped in the scene for a moment, though her claims of coming didn't strike me as realistic. The vaginal boning was weak though she did much better in the anal reverse cowgirl as she bounced on his rod like a champion, even if her repetitive "oh yeah" made me want to yell out for her to "change the fucking channel sweety!" She then drank down his splooged after he jerked off in a glass. It had some rough edges but was better than the opener to me.

Scene Three: Eva Angelina, my current favorite gal of the cast for her body of work (and really smoking body of body, if you catch my drift), was up next as the native Floridian worked with the impressive lothario Randy Spears. Her oral was more diversified than the others, including spitting and a titty fuck that added another dimension to the foreplay. I noticed that the angle she was blowing him would've effectively prevented Hershel from seeing them (kind of weakening the premise) but other than not completely deepthroating him, she was the best oralist to this point. There was solid tongue action and the ball licking was nice too but she was smart enough to go right into the reverse cowgirl, yelling out in a nearly believable manner as he tapped into her pussy. The energy continued in the regular cowgirl before some doggy and a major pop shot to her glasses and face. The energy levels were the best so far and they appeared to have some chemistry that the others were missing.

Scene Four: Sandra Romain, the oldest contestant of the cast (Nikita wasn't a contestant) but also the one most known for being able to provide the most extreme scenes, was up next with both Tyler Knight and Sascha; altering the rules to allow her the chance to win based on doing more than the others. The oral was solid as she played in virtuoso fashion, but it came across as a mechanical play for attention. She was another who wisely started off with an enthusiastic reverse cowgirl anal, though her own repetitive "oh yes, fuck oh yes" weakened the illusion of heat for me. Sascha was the opener in the fucking portion, a surprise given Tyler's better skill, but he got in some anal too before the inevitable DP. This didn't last long before the men popped on the glass table for her to lick up in slow motion, though she never seemed to swallow it (maybe she should've learned to not play with her food). The judge's assessment was funny when Herschel claimed to be 12 years old in 1976 (if that wasn't a stretch of imagination, nothing was; he was probably middle aged at the time) but the comments on the scene were off by a lot.

Scene Five: Nikita Denise, Sandra Romain, and Tommy Gunn, were up next as they followed the same basic formula of the contest, this time leading off with the ladies double teaming Tommy's penis orally. Sandra took control here and slapped Nikita around as though she were getting back at her for some comments made, with each gal getting boned safely. Nikita was the better of the two with her anal pounding and Nikita's taste testing (ATOGM) enhanced her act but as much as this scene had the benefit of two ladies I've enjoyed watching for years, it seemed like Nikita's lengthy absence from porn has hurt her skill levels. She seemed more of a second stringer in the scene with Sandra getting the best coverage (each did anal though). If you think the best porn is about mechanically bumping uglies, this will be the best scene but with so much potential on hand, my expectations were dashed in large part (while not a bad scene, it could've been great). Fans may find that the ladies redeemed themselves with the cumswapping finale but that was when the scene reverted to the use of slow motion sadly enough, killing the heat of the swap.

Summary: Nikita's Extreme Idols had enough good sex in it to warrant a Recommended from me although more polishing up could've elevated the rating substantially. I know Nikita has had a lot of troubles in recent years but I've long liked her style of performance (and it never fails to make me laugh when she says "moose and squirrel", sounding like Natasha from the Bullwinkle show, though she didn't say it in the movie). The movie's limitations were many but as an effort to jumpstart a stagnant career, it wasn't bad in most ways. The lighting was good and the tribute to the mainstream "Idol" show was probably better than most imitators, even if Herschel tried too much to be the negative judge (playing the parody straight was a mistake in my opinion, especially if Hershel is going to do the equivalent of an Evan Stone-styled performance better suited for comedy). Had the show tried to actually be a real contest, something along the lines of the Pussy Party, it would have worked better too; almost always coming off like it wanted to straddle the line and play to both formats. The use of the comedian, Jay Kruger (best known for his work at the 2006 AEE Awards Show if I recall correctly), seemed an after thought as he wasn't in half the scenes (maybe he could only make it on one day of the shooting schedule) but as a porn fan, I'm used to such dumb problems as this. Still, the cast was attractive, talented, and shot well enough for the most part with some decent extras (well, ONE decent extra) that I felt justified in the rating. Perhaps Nikita will impress me in her next outing, although she'll have to be in more than one scene to do that (and they better be good!), but it was a solid start in many ways.
