Audio/Video Quality: Pure Filth 2 was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color the scenes were shot in by Skeeter Kerkove for release by Metro under the Bad Ass Pictures label. The scenes were okay looking; nothing special but better than many others in the vignette field too. The lighting varied a fair amount, making the scenes look a bit over saturated some of the time and a bit washed out other times. The composition of the shots showed Skeeter before he learned his craft as he learned what worked and what didn't; making this a good DVD for seeing his growth as a director (at least if they had credited the scenes from where they were originally shot). There were lots of compression artifacts but again, they typically didn't show up all the time, making it look like a faulty mastering of the DVD. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo though the vocals varied between really soft and really loud with little middle ground. At least when an audio track is consistent, you can compensate for it (unlike here where each scene was an island unto itself).

Note: The DVD stopped playing in the second to last scene for me.

Body of Review: Skeeter Kerkove is certainly one of those guys with a twisted idea of what works for American porn aficionados and I think he's proven critics wrong with some of his latest works displaying a sense of style that really works on some performers. He's had some troubles of late and that has greatly limited his output but Metro still has a lot of previously shot footage so they continue to release movies like Pure Filth 2 to cover the gap. One of the unfortunate things about Skeeter's older scenes is that while he was learning his craft, he made a number of real stinkers, and in terms of scenes, this one had plenty such scenes on display. Rather than go into detail now, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action to give you a better idea of why the DVD didn't work overall:

Scene One: Missy Monroe, the cutie on the front DVD cover in the red & white striped waitress outfit, was up first on a bed with good old Dave Hardman. There was no tease or foreplay as the two simply dove into their scene, him going down on her before she blew him in her usual enthusiastic style. They screwed vaginally and anally, though she really didn't seem into the action until well into the anal. I like Missy and I like her performances but this one was less passionate then she typically gives currently so your mileage may vary. It ended, of course, with the standard facial.

Scene Two: Michelle B., a very appealing British gal with an all natural and curvy body, was up next outside the house by the pool in a scene with Ben English. The oral was less active on her part than a throat fuck by him as she held her heels and laid on her stomach (I've never really liked this position but Skeeter seems infatuated with it). Those who pay attention will see a fly walking around her chin during this part that drove me nuts (one of the only downsides to outdoor sex is the insects). The screwing was another case where the man seemed to dominate as the lady kicked back and let it happen passively. Like the other scenes, she did some taste testing and anal but she's been a lot better elsewhere so this scene will only appeal to those of you that like to see a gal lay there while the guy slams her (which is much like marriage after a few years). There were a number of positions for the anal and he busted a nut on her face and in her mouth before swallowing it down.

Scene Three: Crystal Ray, a lean gal with light hair and ridiculous eyelashes, was up next inside with Ben English while she wore her hooker attire (fishnets, white PVC boots, shiny black shorts, and a minimal top). Her cocksucking ability was the best of the show to this point and actually a pleasant sight. I know some of the other gals usually do better than this, at least they do nowadays, but she was one of the few who delivered the goods at this time. There was then a titty fuck, throat fuck, and the usual hammering away at her other bodily cavities. Sadly, she was passive when getting dicked by the Brit and all the positions in the world couldn't change that. It ended with a facial where she claimed to suck it down but it wasn't captured on video.

Scene Four: Christina Agava, a skinny brunette with thigh high boots and a pink PVC top, was up next with average Trent Tesoro after Skeeter installed an anal plug in her tight ass. She was enthusiastic to drop to her knees and suck him off but like Crystal's scene, her energy levels dropped to minimal after that as he screwed her pussy and ass without any help from her. In the looks department, she reminded me a lot of Taylor Rain (who was up later in the movie) but she lacked the drive to make the scene a winner after the oral and seemed to act like his spew was poison at the end of this bedroom scene.

Scene Five: Alicia Rhodes, a slightly chunky but attractive British lady, was up next in the bedroom as she taunted the men into abusing her with some titty slapping. I would have liked to see some tease before Chris Charming and Dave Hardman worked her over but having seen her many times in the past, I figured she would be a safe bet to actively participate, no matter what Skeeter told her to do. She would suck one off while the other porked her pussy (with an anal plug installed to ready her ass) but as an anal queen, there was never any doubt in my mind that she would soon be pumping away on their dicks. This proved to be true, with only a couple moments of dedicated vaginal before the anal began. The men then DP'd her and started trying out numerous permutations in between taste testing (PTM and ATM). This led to a DAP (double anal penetration) in bareback mode, satisfying those of you who like seeing guys rub their cocks together. To show how large her gape was, she stuck her hand inside it (leaving the thumb out but she could've taken a lot more inside it), and after a bit more action, she took their loads into her mouth. It wasn't a great scene but it had a lot more merit than most of the others for those into circus act sex.

Scene Six: Giselle Collins, a cutie with a firm ass that I never saw much of when she was actively making movies, was up next with Johnny "Bad Bob" Thrust on a couch. He spanked her, snacked on her crack, skipped the initial blowjob, and then dove into her ass while she masturbated. Her fake moaning reminded me of why I never sought her out, and while she did several positions, the scene almost came across like she didn't want to be there (gritting her teeth and only making nice when she noticed the camera focused on her face). It didn't help that they had no chemistry and his load was so small that I could barely notice it.

Scene Seven: Taylor Rain, another skinny brunette though at least with some notoriety, wore a metallic gold bikini with matching boots and a bus drivers hat in her living room couch scene with Brandon Iron and Ben English. This is another gal that can truly shine when given the right opportunity, though I had my doubts this far into the mediocre movie. Ben throat fucked her first but it was Brandon that had her making a mess of the couch with streamers and all. They then started tapping all three of her holes when my DVD player locked up on the disc. I had to turn it off to get the disc out, and while there was no visible defect on the DVD, it wouldn't play past that point on any of my other players either.

Scene Eight: Cameron James and Byron Long were in the last scene but the DVD player wouldn't go there for me, except the last chapter where he dropped a load on her face by the couch after some anal.

Summary: Pure Filth 2 is one where I felt it was only worth a Skip It since it stopped working part way through the movie and most of the scenes were weaker than average for some of the talented cast. I've enjoyed a lot of titles from Metro Interactive over the years and Skeeter has been one of those kinky directors that always tried to push the envelop in ways that others would later imitate but there were too many insurmountable issues with this one for me to enjoy. If the DVD worked perfectly and the last scene and a half were about average for the movie, I might have elevated the rating to a rental status but this was not the best Metro has to offer us.
