Extras: The best extra worth mentioning is the 11.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. There was extra nudity, more sexual activity (Sandra pissing), and some interviews by cast members for fans (with Jake making funny comments about Ed Powers). There was also a photogallery and a double sided DVD cover (advertising on the second side only though) but given the length of the movie, the extras weren't as vital to maintaining value as in shorter flicks.

Audio/Video Quality: Assault That Ass 8was presented in the standard 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as most porn is shot these days, by director Jake Malone for Red Light District. The picture was decent and showed some improvement over older releases by Jake with often nice lighting, solid composition of most shots (making the women look more appealing than usual), and good fleshtones, though he still has a way to go to be as technically adept as some of his peers. There was a small, light watermark with the Red Light District logo on the bottom right hand corner of the picture but few people seem to mind it these days considering the amount of fuck for the buck being offered and the understanding that piracy is so prevalent. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English and was generally well done although it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for a gonzo production. I could hear the gals moan, groan, and talk dirty so I was pleased with it but there wasn't any separation between the channels and the dynamic range wasn't all that great either.

Body of Review: Red Light District had been one of my favorite production companies in the gonzo field for a few years now due to the levels of quality control they employ and the straightforward nature of the action they provide. It certainly helped that they employed a lot of great directors and sought out fine hotties to showcase too. One of their current crop of directors is Jake Malone, a guy with an interesting sense of the absurd but also a sense of self that allows for him to show what many of us wish we had the opportunity to see firsthand. His latest movie for the company is Assault That Ass 8, a series I haven't seen since Assault That Ass 4, and the 363rd release by RLD. The premise is to show women who not only do anal but also enjoy it thoroughly, providing some of the best scenes you'll find in gonzo porn. Here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Flower Tucci, wearing a neon blue outfit accentuated by a matching fishnet body stocking, was wisely up first as she slowly came down the staircase to tease the camera with her great ass and body. If there are any domestically grown ladies as good at anal as Flower, I haven't run into them, and her all natural body looked ready to rumble during her extensive toy based masturbation action before she was joined by studly Manuel Ferrara on the couch. The droning thump of the drums could've been turned down by half and still be too loud but her tease footage was slow and sensual, much like Flower's was before her. Manuel Ferrara, one of porn's reining studs, agreed with my assessment as he ate out her ass on the couch, enjoying the smothering effect of her big juicy ass. Scene Five: Sandra Romain, a far leaner brunette but more talented than the rest of the cast, is on the world's short list for anal queens in terms of quality (performance, shape, skill) so it took two men; Steve Holmes and Manuel Ferrara to properly handle her. Summary: Assault That Ass 8 had a lot of fuck for the buck with some incredible performances by many of the leading ladies of porn. You have to understand that a movie where the weakest scene is by a hotty like Naomi, who could milk your nuts by just teasing you alone, and the amount of fuck for the buck was so high (over three hours), with nice production values, a rating of Highly Recommended is perhaps on the low end of the spectrum. It needed some more polishing up but the quality of the action was very high and the movie will have the kind of replay value that makes you want a copy of your very own.
