Extras: The best extra was clearly the 14 minute long Behind the Scenes feature since it had more sex, lots of humor, and even some interesting discussions by the ladies (from gals too young for porn, to the inner cravings for a dick machine that works, to personal anecdotes about porn in general). There was a photogallery, a biography for Mari Possa, six trailers to movies like Butt Pirates of the Caribbean, and some commercials for Seymore's various enterprises.

Audio/Video Quality: Party At Butts Place was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by director Seymore Butts for his Home Movies company. While his works are often technically limited in terms of lighting, grain, and other visual flaws, he wisely focuses less on technical matters to concentrate his efforts on providing the kind of raw energy that far too few pornos have these days. This DVD looked similar to past efforts of his, with some lighting and grain issues as much as anything else but it didn't look bad at all. The composition of the scenes varied less than in other recent Seymore movies, making the women look pretty good, if not their very best. While I don't believe the action is unscripted as the movie tries to show, it suggests this makes it all look "real" as in unstaged or as if Seymore mindlessly walks into the scenes but we all know better and that detracts from the otherwise fun sex he offers up. There were no observed compression artifacts so at least the DVD mastering was solid. The 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English audio track was okay with no separation between the channels and limited dynamic range.

Body of Review: Seymore Butts Home Movies/Pure Play Media has been the home of director Seymore Butts for some time now and while the award winning director has seen better DVD releases than ever before due to the affiliation, he still manages to follow a set formula all too often. His latest movie is Party At Butts Place, reminiscent of Seymore Butts Pool Party from over ten years earlier. In it, Seymore walks around his home and finds groups of friends having sexual encounters, typically well underway by the time he starts recording them. This is the same general formula he's used for a very long time, although he doesn't seem able to join in these days, so fans of this prince of anal will be happy as ever. Here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that there were no condoms and some of the scenes were very well done:

Scene One: Olivia O'Lovely, the curvy hotty known for her fleshy body as well as sultry ability to devour cock, was up first with reliable old Herschel Savage in the cabana, missing out on the toast Seymore gave about life and enjoying it. It was a cramped location to record them in and they were already well underway when he ran in on them, but she still provided a good scene due to her active riding style in all positions. Not content to just take what he offered her, she impaled herself with those incredible ass cheeks of hers bobbing back and forth, up and down, to show why the phrase "bigger is better" comes to mind when she's around. Still, it seemed like a short scene compared to most of the others and that's a shame considering how skilled she was here.

Scene Two: Luscious Lopez, Mari Possa, Sasha Knox, Mark Davis, and Herschel Savage were up next in a mini-orgy in the living room on the couch. It began with a daisy chain of oral satisfaction but soon became more of a free for all with vaginal, anal and various taste testing going on. For those unfamiliar with the ladies, they were the three gals on the right hand side of the front DVD cover, and for the record, Mari joined them late in the scene. In general then, the gals sucked and fucked their way into the annals of Seymore party history by all giving solid performances with the usual emphasis on anal action. It ended when the guys popped out loads and the winner in terms of chemistry, heat, and energy, was easily Luscious this time.

Scene Three: Flower Tucci, another gal amazingly not on the front DVD cover, was up next as she coached Lola Luxx during an anal scene in the bedroom with Nat Turnher. Flower is my favorite anal queen of the cast so it made sense that she'd be a dominant partner in her scene, doing PTOGM and using a glass dildo on Lola who rode first. Flower's ride may have been second but in terms of quality it was head and shoulders above that of her new pal, each taking some time out to suck his cock between positions. Flower did her waterworks show as expected and the sweaty trio were all doused by the fluid, leading to the anal romp (with ATM and foot sucking). It was a pretty lengthy scene and ended with a facial, satisfying all the usual needs of fans and providing quite a spectacle. There was a lot of energy this time though the chemistry seemed lacking in many ways but I can safely say that Flower's reign as anal queen in Seymore Land is still secure.

Scene Four: Texas Presley, the lean hotty on the left side of the front DVD cover, was up last in a lesbian scene with curvier Olivia O'Lovely as the two experimented with Seymore's dildo machine. Basically, it was a modified sybian with a dildo on the top for sitting and on the bottom for laying back to enjoy the ride. Initially then, it was as if the two gals were masturbating in the same room though they soon came to realize that they wanted to lick each other silly as well (and did so by the way). As the scene progressed and each had taken a lengthy ride on the machine, they reverted to the tried and true forms of womanly fun by taking a double headed dildo to play with at the same time. They kissed a few times and Olivia did anal with the toys (extensively I might add) with Texas taking the dominant role. I got a different impression of this lesbian scene than usual in that the two had fun, got lost in playing with each other, and probably continued long after the camera faded out.

Summary: Party At Butts Place was worth a rating of Recommended for fans of the free for all style popularized by Seymore Butts many years ago. It lacked in some technical areas and the four scenes seemed to be in need of some tightening up at times but it was still fun to watch and offered another glimpse into the perverted mind of party host Seymore Butts as he catered to the needs of his friends and extended family. In short, Party At Butts Place was the kind of party that we'd all rather go to than just about anywhere else, including Hefner's little get togethers since it looks like anyone, even a jaded old porn reviewer, could probably get laid there. Check it out and you'll likely find it to be a fun ride.
