Extras: The best extra was a 10 minute long solo masturbation scene by Tall Goddess on a fancy table in the mansion. It was shot in montage form and aside from music that was too loud, she gave a decent performance. There was also a 6 minute long Behind the Scenes feature but it seemed more like a short interview of Tall Goddess than anything else with the rest of the cast literally cast aside in order to focus on the director of the movie. There was a photogallery as well but unless you're really into them, it didn't add a lot to the DVD's value.

Audio/Video Quality: Clique was presented in 1.85:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Tall Goddess for distribution by Ninn Worx. I haven't seen many of their titles in recent years since the other reviewers snag them first but you can almost always count on the visual presentation being something stylish and at times, otherworldly. This was another such case with the scenes starting out in black & white as the director teased the camera in a montage format before the actual participants of the scenes screwed. As the scenes began, they'd turn to color and if you enjoy watching the lighting played with to the point of obscurity, colors being washed out deliberately, and other visual tricks, you'll really like this one. In fairness to the movie, I did find it pleasing to look at in limited amounts, I just thought it looked kind of derivative of Michael Ninn himself (and not done nearly as well) all too often without the small touches that make such a flick as enjoyable. There weren't any compression artifacts or video noise to contend with but the varied scenes were definitely a mixed bag of tricks. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English with Tall Goddess narrating some mumbo jumbo as the tease footage continued. The vocals themselves seemed to be okay in the scenes but lacked any separation and seemed almost tossed in as afterthoughts. The music was another story with some decent scoring done, if too loud for my personal tastes.
Body of Review: While gonzo porn is considered the current preferred type of porn among most male viewers, there is still a market for just about anything else too; including misogynist donkey punch movies, features, and all the usual specialty movies you'll find stocking the shelves of retailers and etailers alike. Well, catering to the erotica niche that favors couples and women with limited porn experience is a host of companies like Ninn Worx. Their latest release is a title called Clique, directed by performer Tall Goddess, with the sad notation that she doesn't actually have sex with anyone but her hand this time. The vignettes are stylishly presented as though from a 1940's noir movie and the sex was definitely on the light side in most of the five offerings but I could see where someone new to porn might like it better than the latest gonzo epic. Here's a quick breakdown of the scenes by action and cast, noting that limited condom use was observed:
Scene One: Jamie Huxley, an attractive brunette wearing fashionable clothes from a noir flick set about 60 years ago, was up first as she slobbed the knob of Alec Knight beside a large wooden door inside the house. This was like the other scenes in that Tall Goddess did a little stylish tease footage first and the scene itself started out in black & white. Her oral skills were well suited for the movie but she didn't spend as much time as I would have liked, with him reciprocating on her as she ordered him about like a pussy. The lighting was a bit harsh on them as his white shirt and the wall reflected too much of it back at the camera but it took me a moment to notice this since they were seemingly into the fun. It was strictly an oral and vaginal scene with a multitude of positions but the best being the variations of the cowgirl (where she spun around at one point and also saw fit to grind her hips into his cock as she rode him). This led to her doing more oral on him (PTM) and unleashing a minor load orally. It wasn't an awesome scene but it was a solid way to start the movie off.
Scene Two: Tall Goddess, this time enjoying the full benefit of her tease, was up next with Charlotte Stokely (in a Flock of Seagulls haircut) and James Deen as the sexually active couple. I would've liked it better if Lorraine (Tall's director name) actually participated with the couple in the small sitting area they chose to play but that wasn't going to happen. Charlotte rubbed him and rode him, with her milky white skin contrasting against his dark suit in such a way that the sex seemed almost surreal (since she literally glowed against the bright background with the lighting the way it was). She was as vocal as Jamie was and tried to be active in the ride but didn't seem to get the benefit of her usual anal skills (the lighting was such that determining which hole he was hitting was all but impossible). He stroked off to her fleshy ass and it was a stylish but limited scene.
Scene Three: Havana Ginger, Tyra Banxx, and Somaya, added some cultural and racial diversity to the movie by wearing golden glitter to play with Jerry after the usual tease sequence by Lorraine. He essentially laid back while all three gals piled on top of him; one on his face, one on his cock, and the other on his midriff rubbing her body on him while assisting the others a bit. They moved around a bit and eventually formed a two female pyramid but it was a scene that very much limited their ability to do much; ending with him jerking off to the ass of one of the gals.
Scene Four: Katie Morgan, playing a femme fatale in similar fashion to the previous gals, was up next with studly Randy Spears who played her attorney (trying to "get her off" of some charges with a plea bargain). She had other ideas of how he should being getting her off as she dropped to her knees. I have long enjoyed watching this cutie go at it (Randy is okay for the ladies too but Katie's a hotty no matter how you look at it) and seeing her in the dominant role worked wonders compared to some of the limitations of the other scenes. While the oral wasn't as lengthy as I'd have liked it to be, it led to him giving as well as he received and an active little romp on the couch as expected of the two. Fans of scenes where the ladies keep some clothing on will enjoy this scene as much as the others, with the sepia toned colors making Randy look about 15 years younger. It ended with the pop shot to her ample (and sadly, implanted) chest and wasn't her best work but also wasn't bad.
Scene Five: Jenaveve Jolie, one of the best brunettes in the jizz biz, Teanna Kai, a popular Asian, and lanky Franco Del Torro, were up last as the trio played well with one another. The gals could have shared him after Jenaveve got first dibs while Teanna masturbated in the nearby chair but Teanna was content to just suck a little pussy and rub her female friend, greatly diminishing the value of the scene for me. Jenaveve unencumbered would've been so much better although I'm sure fans of watered down erotica might see this one differently than I did as an attempt to mix things up a little bit.
Summary: Clique was not my favorite type of movie, seeming to be a cheap knock off of the recently acclaimed Celeste but without the heart and class to pull off the style. I won't begrudge Lorraine that it was a decent first effort but the stroke value to most of the people reading this review will probably be limited since it came across as light porn (and as the saying goes: porn is like eggs, the harder the better-at least to a point). I'm going to rate this one as a Rent It though my description should tell you all you need to know about whether or not you'll like it enough to pick up a copy for your very own. The ladies were not all on the same quality level, the stylish looks managed to turn me off as much as turn me on, and the extras were quite limited so the replay factor weighed heavily in my decision. Give it a look and you'll know exactly what I mean though.
