Extras: The best extra by far was the bonus scene described below starring Haley Scott and four of the Mope Squad. The emphasis was definitely on oral pleasure as she slobbed their knobs like a champion but the hammering her pussy took was pretty hot too. The DP was minimal and it lasted 31.5 minutes long, adding significant value to the DVD. There was also a 6 minute long session of "Cutting Room Floor" material, essentially Behind the Scenes footage by another name, which was fun to watch though shorter than I'm used to seeing. There was also a lengthy photogallery, true double sided DVD cover, and a protective cardboard sleeve (the same as the regular cover).

Audio/Video Quality: Mope Squad was presented in a non-anamorphic widescreen color with an approximate aspect ratio of 1.85:1 as shot by director Tim Von Swine for Vouyer Media. The lighting was not flat and even handed like his previous work at Red Light District and Platinum X Pictures but it was still better than that which you'll find in many gonzo pornos. There was little grain and the fleshtones were somewhat off in many portions of the show but the fact that it was shot in HD led me to think that there was more detail available for the inevitable conversion to the higher resolution format coming out later this year. The composition of the shots was such that the ladies were made to look as good as Tim was capable of making them, and given his level of skill developed over the years, he showed he still has what it takes. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English but there was no separation between the channels and the vocals were on the low side in all but a few circumstances (at which times they were too loud of course).

Body of Review: Tim Von Swine was one of those guys that Vince Vouyer took under his wing awhile back and forged into a directing force to be reckoned with. While he was under contract for Red Light, and the Vouyer Media, he now calls Shane's World home and I'm kind of curious as to what changes they'll make to their popular lines in order to accommodate his gonzo version of the world. That said, his latest release is Mope Squad; a DVD that allows some of the weaker male performers in the jizz biz (the guys that tend to fill in on bukkake's) to have their chance to shine like never before, with full credit. While my first reading of the premise had me thinking that the ladies would be third tier skanks unworthy of a passing look after six months at sea, I found that Tim used some up and coming top flight talent for the project. In that sense, I was happy that he didn't end up providing the meat himself (let's face it folks, Tim should be the leader of the mope squad with his looks and physique) but the DVD was surprisingly good in most ways. Here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms weren't used and there was lots of fun to be had:

Scene One: Mysti May, a large breasted hotty with the kind of positive attitude that I wish more gals had in porn, was up first as she teased the initial mope squad (consisting of Kyle Stone, Arnold Schwartzenpecker, Lee Bang, and Lefty LaRue). She benefited greatly by her very cute face, nice chest, and solid skills too though the guys really wanted to nail her something fierce. She did some oral on all of them in the form of a blow bang, warming them up for the vaginal hammering they gave her soon after that. Scene Three: Gianna, a cute brunette with large breasts and this time sporting a riding crop, entered into the living room to interrupt the mope card game at the request of Tim, providing the mopes with a challenge. The squad this time was Kyle Stone, Jason Horne, Mike Hash, and Lefty LaRue; each suitably employed as a mope. The squad this time was comprised of Kyle Stone, Arnold Schwartzenpecker, Lee Bang, and Mike Hash; all of whom commented on her fabulous ass. The dynamic this time had her as a submissive to the squad, although I'm sure she could've snapped her fingers and they'd have jumped at her beck & call. Still, it was a nice change of pace from the bitchiness some of the others were made to show. One of the best things about her act was how she was obviously pushing her limits with them, yet still riding them as though they had the kind of meat she wanted to impale herself on. A little appreciation goes a long way in that sense, and the men responded in kind by really turning up the energy to compete with her. She even did another of her still–rare anal scenes, even going so far as to handle the DP action fairly well. In all, the more complex the action, the weaker she got at it but they made her air tight (a cock in each of her three holes) and it served as a very solid bit of fun by the popular new performer. The scene ended with the loser mope squad having let loose some of their largest loads on her face, chest and other body parts; serving as a great finish to a very fun flick

Bonus Scene: Haley Scott, a blondish gal with an all natural body, was given 31.5 minutes to convince the world she could handle the Mope Squad of Jason Horne, Mike Hash, Arnold Schwartzenpecker, and Lee Bang in the living room setting. She wore some hot skimpy lingerie that helped enhance her look more than a little (she's not generally considered top flight material folks so anything done to elevate her status is certainly appreciated) and she was as sexually aggressive as needed in the scene. It was a decent scene although I could see why it wasn't part of the main movie itself, even though she got the glazed donut facial at the end (where Tim congratulated the squad for their aim). Still, the scene had some stroke value worth checking out and it was a great extra.

Summary: Mope Squad was one of Von Swine's better projects this year and that's no backhanded compliment. While he's sure not the best looking director in porn, nor does he possess a cock worthy of use in a flick, he has long showed some skill with a camera as a director of porn flicks. The cast this time, particularly the ladies, were all good on some level or another with enough fuck for the buck quality to warrant a rating of Highly Recommended, despite some minor issues with the visuals and energy. I wonder what Tim will do to top this one, especially given the completely different style of movie usually coming out of the crews at Shane's World. Otherwise, you'll probably have a lot of fun with this movie so check it out.
