Extras: The best extra was the 16 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Fraulein Fist (with some footage by Eli Cross and Kylie Ireland). There was a fair amount of sex included, nudity, and some of the usual goofing around. There was also a photogallery, a recent biography for Kylie Ireland, trailers for shows like On Your Knees Bitch, Open For Anal 2, Ass Wreckage 2, Taste Her Ass, and The Whore Next Door; as well as a double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Butt Bitches was presented in a 1.85:1 ratio non-anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Kylie Ireland with the assistance of cameraman Eli Cross, for release by Platinum X Pictures. The lighting was weaker than average this time, increasing the amounts of grain and video noise seen compared to some of their previous works. The composition of the shots was also pretty good although not particularly creative, enhancing the look of most of the women nicely enough but not really showcasing them at their very best. Otherwise, the DVD was mastered well enough and I saw no compression artifacts. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital but the encoding signal was added in afterwards given the overall quality of the vocals. The vocals ranged from well handled to a bit too low at times, though in general, they were varied regarding the mix.

Body of Review: Kylie Ireland is one of my personal favorite performers in porn and has proven to be a very talented director as well. While her work for Platinum X Pictures is over with, the company still has a fair amount of titles to release that she filmed before leaving them for greener pastures. Her latest release by them though is Butt Bitches, a set of five vignettes where the gals all took anal after the usual formulaic sex. I was disappointed by the lack of energy most of the performers had this time but here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that none of the men used condoms, just the same:

Scene One: Lexi Bardot, a skinny brunette with lots of tattoos and a skimpy pink outfit, was up first as she and scene partner Manuel Ferrara rode their bicycles along the roadway. He admired her little ass while riding behind her and they soon made it back home to the couch. He ate her ass out and fingered her after the anal plug was removed, making her very happy in the process. She reciprocated with an okay blowjob, complete with ball sucking and rimming as he jerked off though the camera angle wasn't very good at capturing it. It ended when he jerked out a load to her ass but this was a lame scene to begin with due to the relative lack of energy on her part.

Scene Two: Cheyenne Jacobs, a curvy gal wearing workout clothing, was in the small home gym getting trained by Barry Scott. Scene Four: Lexi Hawk, a cute brunette with more curves than the other Lexi in the movie, was up next as she stripped to get a baby oil rubdown by Jerry. I liked the tease footage here more than the previous scenes and he showed a lot of care as he fingered and rubbed her seductively. Summary: Butt Bitches lacked in several aspects, not least of which was the lack of bitchiness by the ladies and their lack of enthusiasm for anal sex. They took the anal passively as though they were in pain and the technical factors were a lot weaker than I recall any of Kylie's previous outings for the company to have been. I know Eli did the majority of camerawork and the listed lighting man, Van Clooney, is no stranger to his job but something went wrong this time in most of the scenes (they looked like something I'd see in a third tier company rather than PXP). While I'm a fan of Kylie's, this DVD was one that I felt lacked in chemistry, energy, and spark so that I felt obligated to rate it as Skip It. Pass this one up unless you're a slavering fanboy of the cast.
