Extras: The initial extras included on the DVD were the usual five bonus scenes; none of them from previous movies with Lexie Marie in them. There was a short biography for Lexie Marie too but like most such biographies, it wasn't worth much to me. There was a 16 minute long Behind the Scenes feature, a positions room, a series of trailers including titles like The New Devil In Miss Jones, Take My Wife, Out of Place, Time For Briana, and Spiked; a couple of photogalleries, and some spam for phone sex and Vivid products (as well as the usual double sided DVD cover).

Audio/Video Quality: Scream was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Paul Thomas for Vivid Entertainment. The lighting was generally well done this time, limiting the grain and video noise a lot; since Paul wasn't trying to make the film look he's known for in some of his other works. There were no compression artifacts though but the composition of the shots was mixed in terms of making the gals look their best. The 2.0 Dolby Digital audio track was hollow with no separation between the channels but I could hear the vocals well enough to know what they were saying.

Body of Review: Vivid Entertainment is one of the largest porn producers on Earth (and probably elsewhere in the Universe given their prolific nature). Almost by definition, this means that they make numerous hits (and numerous misses). Their leading director is Paul Thomas and his track record varies a lot these days as he tries to show his artistic side a bit too often for my tastes. His latest release is Scream, a movie described by the rear DVD cover as: "A Paul Thomas feature. No loud allowed! Everyone yells at Lexie. Her dad. Her boyfriend. Even the bums in the park. She's just not cut out for the loud, cruel world. So she checks herself into a madhouse and hopes for peace and quiet. And that's where she finds Marco, and the sexual healing that changes her world." If that sounds like a weak premise, consider that the movie itself seemed like a cross between an experimental indie flick and a project for art school, albeit with a better looking cast and more sex than usual. That said, the movie served as a showcase for former contract starlet Lexie Marie and while I've long found her attractive, her sexual skill isn't usually in the top 75% of the porn pantheon. Here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were commonplace:

Scene One: Someone's in the Kitchen: Alyssa Chase, a cute gal new to porn, was up first with waiter Marco Duato/Banderas in the restaurant kitchen. She slobbed his knob fairly well, using eye contact to enhance the moment between them. It was a slow hummer but it got him hard enough to give her a lick or two before they boned when she bent over the countertop. It ended with a pop shot to the face and seemed kind of mechanical, although she was worth a look or two.

Scene Two: A Little Walk Around: Christina Brooks, a very large breasted gal with a pleasing face, was up next in a very short scene with muscular Alberto Rey that started at the bar. She took off her top for him to suck and otherwise play with them, leading to him snacking on her crack. They were then interrupted and the scene picked up later.

Scene Three: A Hard Landing: Alektra Blue, a very skilled oralist with pretty blue eyes and a lean figure, was up next as she blew both Jay Huntington and Rusty Nails in front of some stairs in the city. She went from one to the other, jerking and sucking them off with vigor, before they let loose their loads on her face.

Scene 2.1: Making Evidence: Christina Brooks and Alberto Rey were back in action as she was bent over to receive his oral skills that were cut short previously. She dropped to her knees to please his needs and after some fair (but short) oral on his dick, they boned. The editing into the other scene really killed this one and it seemed choppy even within itself but her lovely ass crawling along the floor was hot to look at. She was an active ride once given the chance, even doing some PTM (pussy to mouth) but the way the scene was cut weakened the action a lot. It ended when he jerked off his limited load to her face.

Scene Four: Rough Stuff: Lexie Marie, the hotty on the front DVD cover, and the sultry Jasmine Byrne, were up next in a cat fight scene where the two went at each other in anger but soon turned it into a pretty solid sex scene. They did oral on one another, spanked each other's pussy, and were soon joined by Alektra Blue, and Marcos Leon. The foursome paired off to let Alektra screw Marcos as passionately as she usually does men while the ladies continued on their own little romp. There were numerous permutations and positions, ending with Jasmine getting a wild anal ride and Marcos rubbing out a load to the faces of the trio of hotties. It was the only scene in the movie that I thought had significant replay value.

Scene Five: Reunited: Lexie Marie, still looking fine, was up once more but this time alone with Marcos Leon. Her oral was okay but she didn't have a lot to work with, slowly bobbing her head up and down and licking the tip as her ass stuck out in the air. He ate her out mechanically and the couple screwed vaginally until the scene ended with his pop shot to her lower back. The one good thing about the scene was how well she rode him when she was on top but it wasn't enough to save it from being a filler scene.

Summary: Scream came off like it was half finished (lasting barely 75 minutes) with plot elements that made little sense and editing that you'll likely find jarring (I suspect that's why a couple of the scenes were specifically credited as being edited by "Jack Freedom" so that he could take the fall). Even with a solid cast, and this one was mixed in that sense, the lack of fuck for the buck and other problems made me waiver between squashing this one and assigning it a Rent It. Since one scene was actually really good, I was generous with the rating but I've seen the majority of cast and crew make far more interesting contributions elsewhere so don't go out of your way to pick this one up if you're looking for replay value or the kind of flick you can stroke to much.
