Extras: The best extra was an 8.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature starring the cast before, during, and after their scenes. Some had more screen time than others and some of the material was strictly interviews but it was still fun to watch and fans of the ladies (or Seymore) will enjoy it at least as much as his Showtime series thanks to the nudity and extra sex footage). There were also some trailers and numerous commercials as well as a photogallery.

Audio/Video Quality: Asshunt was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by director Seymore Butts for his Home Movies company. While his works have often been technically limited in terms of lighting, grain, and other visual flaws, he wisely focuses less on technical matters to concentrate his efforts on providing the kind of raw energy that far too few pornos have these days. This DVD looked similar to past efforts of his, with some minor lighting and grain issues as much as anything else but it didn't look bad at all. The composition of the scenes varied less than in other recent Seymore movies, making the women look pretty good, if not their very best. While I don't believe the action is unscripted as the movie tries to show, it suggests this makes it all look "real" as in unstaged or as if Seymore mindlessly walks into the scenes but we all know better and that detracts from the otherwise fun sex he offers up. There were no observed compression artifacts so at least the DVD mastering was solid. The 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English audio track was okay with no separation between the channels and limited dynamic range.

Body of Review: Seymore Butts is one of the legendary figures of porn for the longevity of his career as well as the manner in which he helped advance the gonzo format with the help of some very attractive friends over the years. He helped elevate porn from the formulaic method most directors still use (which essentially took over porn in the early to mid 1980's with the advent of videotape) to something relying more on fun and spontaneity (real or imagined). This said, his latest release is Seymore Butts' Asshunt, a selection of scenes without any particular theme but with return guest stars that I would not have guessed would show up in a hundred years. Each scene was evaluated on its own merits below but not a single one let me down in terms of sexual energy, enthusiasm, and overall replay value. Here's a look at those scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were present at all:

Scene One: Tuesday Afternoon: Amber Peach, Phyllisha Anne, and Herschel Savage, were all well underway in a scene on a bed as he boned away on them from behind in doggy style. It was a bummer to not have any tease footage or the usual build up but this helped make it a different scene to enjoy as well. It was visually appealing to see the gals slip into an early 69 as Herschel shared his spotted dick but whatever playful teasing I may have towards the guy, I give him credit for lasting far longer than I would under the circumstances. Further, while it may have been strictly acting, I did think that Phyllisha got off a few times as she was attended to by her friends. The vaginal gave way to the oral, which gave way to some powerful anal by Amber but the strength of the scenes was not in the laundry list of acts they did so much as the active participation and enthusiasm of the trio. Fans of anal and ATM will undoubtedly be happy with the amount shown here (the cover reflected a claim of "91.2% Hardcore Anal Fun!" which was far more reasonable than previous claims). The dirty talk and way the gals assisted each other also contributed to the fun factor and I tip my hat to all three for such a strong opening scene.

Scene Two: Next Day 12:42: Tylene Buck, the lovely hotty with the fantastic ass as displayed on the front DVD cover, was up next in a solo masturbation scene where she began by exercising on the elliptical walker and soon found Seymore's stash of toys after watching him go to it. I'm unfamiliar with Seymore using solo scenes so it was a nice change of pace and to be frank about it, she looked good impaling herself on the replica of his dick. She did overdo the vocals a little but she did seem to be having fun and I only wish that Seymore had jumped in to provide her the real deal after awhile. The plastic dick was fun to watch plunging into her tight pussy but her anal work with a double headed acrylic (it didn't look like far more expensive glass) was even better. I'll probably never get used to her implants but this was one show I would've liked to see in person.

Scene Three: Three Days Later…: Flower Tucci, the reigning American anal queen, Belladonna lookalike Naudia Nyce, and Billy Glide, were up next on the couch as Seymore walked in on them in a scene already underway. I'm not going to kid you and say that I thought Nadia was the most physically attractive gal of the show (she wasn't) but her all natural body hammering away on Billy's cock reminded me that attitude counts for a lot more than looks. Scene Five: Next Day: Taylor Hayes, one of the best partners Seymore ever had and still a fetching young lady, was up last as she bet Mark Davis that she could make him cum in under 15 minutes. Summary: Asshunt was one of those times when the rating was clear to me without much pondering since the levels of fuck for the buck, the splendid cast, and the manner in which they enjoyed themselves were all very nicely handled. There were some rough edges on the technical side of things but this was well worth the rating of Highly Recommended for all the positive attributes it possessed. I've watched a fair amount of titles over the last couple of years from Seymore and have to say that when he gets it right, he really gets it right, earning his place near the top of the porn pantheon.
