Extras: The best extra was a Behind the Scenes feature lasting just shy of 17 minutes. It focused mostly on Jasmine Byrne and Kat with the crew getting in some minor quality time (the only one I recognized by sight was Mark Kismet) as well as a couple of other performers. Jasmine is always a welcome star of such features since she brings a sense of playfulness to the proceeding (not to mention her hot little body). I also liked the 15 minutes worth of interviews, noting that the audio screw up on Kat's interview was acknowledged via subtitle (when they point it out so readily, I give them credit for honesty) and did not render it unwatchable. There was a slideshow, some trailers, and spam to round out the package.

Audio/Video Quality: Latina Crack Attack was presented in the standard 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by new director David Coppafeel for distribution by VCA Pictures/Excessive Entertainment. The lighting was solid and that limited the amount of grain and video noise although some more fill lighting would've kept the fleshtones more accurate in some scenes and helped with the shadows seen in the close screwing. The composition of the shots seemed to be a slightly mixed bag with some working better than others (hint: don't zoom in on stretch marks or ass zits) but the general impression I had about the visual aspects of the movie were favorable. The DVD showed no compression artifacts or mosquito noise as well. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English, with some decent vocal levels and no music to get in the way. There wasn't much to say about it other than the audio was low end of the spectrum with no separation between the channels or significant dynamic range.

Body of Review: VCA Pictures has been one of the best companies in porn for me in the past and seems to be rebounding with a variety of decent releases of late from a number of new or newly acquired directors. One of their latest is a guy named David Coppafeel (a playful take on the mainstream magician's name) and his most recent title was Latina Crack Attack. The movie focused on gals of Hispanic descent having sex on a couch. The quality of the cast was replete with examples of top talent and I was interested to see how he was going to add something new to their scenes. That said, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Jenaveve Jolie, the hotty from the front DVD cover, was looking firm and trim (like she did on the front cover) in her minimal outfit as she kidded around on the couch with Sascha waiting to pounce on her. The interview was minimal and she claimed to be ill but there wasn't enough difference to me given how much appeal she has on a physical level. He immediately went down on her as though trying to get her off (as opposed to doing it for the camera; notable for how tight he kept during most of the oral on her), warming her up to where she appeared wet for her reciprocal blowjob his way. She was enthusiastic, energetic and displayed a sense of passion during the hummer; all factors she has been noted for in her body of work in the past (why do you think she was on the cover?). I liked watching her ass from behind but she was the least active ride of the cast up until this point. He finished by popping into her mouth but most of it dribbled onto her body or floor, marking a bit of a filler scene for me (admittedly, she might've been lacking in enthusiasm due to her partner).

Scene Five: Luscious Lopez, a relatively new gal with an attractive face and a huge booty that never gets old, was next on the couch with Chris Charming. She had the phattest ass of the cast and both Chris and I seemed to enjoy checking it out more than a little bit, with her playing up the wonderful booty factor nicely with some tease footage. Summary: Latina Crack Attack had a couple of very solid performances, a couple that left me cold, and one that alternated back and forth in terms of visual appeal. The generic nature of the production was balanced by the often decent technical values but I felt that a rating of Rent It was most appropriate given the sometimes spotty attention to detail. If you like the cast a lot, you'll want to elevate the score at least a notch but even a fan of Latinas like me has to recognize that director David Coppafeel has yet to display his full potential. It was strokable for me but the replay value was largely limited to Jasmine and Jenaveve's scenes, making this another title you should check out before buying.
