Audio/Video Quality: Bring Your A Game was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by Danny Case for release by 3rd Degree. The lighting was almost always handled nicely, limiting the grain and other visual flaws in the open settings of the house (mostly the living room). This was a compilation of scenes taken from numerous series over the period of about two years. As such, the overall quality of the scenes varied but not by as much as you might initially think (that's a very long time in terms of porn production folks). The composition of the shots was largely enhancing to the ladies as they diddled themselves or took on their partners with a few spots in need of fill lighting but otherwise covering up most of their minor flaws. There were no compression artifacts and the fleshtones were very accurate, making this one visually appealing to me. The 2.0 stereo audio was a bit more basic with no separation or major dynamic range but I could almost always hear what was said and the music didn't interfere with my viewing pleasure. Keep in mind that there was no Spanish language track as advertised on the back cover either.

Body of Review: Danny Case or Pat Myne as he is better known, has been making porn now for years though mostly as a performer. Now that he's in the director's chair, he still manages to dip his wick a time or two but his primary emphasis is clearly on shooting porn these days. His most recent release is a compilation of edited anal scenes called Bring Your A Game, where several minutes were clipped from 22 scenes (not the advertised "24 anal pumping scenes") and one brand new scene starring the lovely Cathy Anderson with studly Mick Blue gave a completely new, reasonably lengthy scene of anal depravity to the small screen. I'd be lying to you if I said I was really a huge fan of edited scenes in porn, even those that distill the hardest acts into a compilation such as this one but there were certainly a lot of skilled anal performers present in this one. I'm not going to list every act in every scene since the general theme of the editing process appeared to be taking as little as the tease from the original scenes (I love tease too), limited amounts of oral and vaginal sex, and stuck with the anal and circus act sex. They did keep the ATM in the scenes (gee thanks, the part I hate!) and the majority of pop shots, but little else beside the anal sex. Summary: Bring Your A Game was to anal sex what Big Rack Attack for sister company Zero Tolerance was to large breast scenes; perhaps enough stroke material for some of you to enjoy but like the company's recent compilations at Empire, something less of a value than if half (or even a third) of the better scenes had been left intact and the rest not included. If you've read my reviews of 3rd Degree releases, at least the few I've had a chance to watch, you'll know how good I think they are but this was definitely only designed as a sampler for new initiates that weren't sharp enough to watch the whole scenes when they came out. There are few reasons worth getting a compilation as it is so edited footage makes this one a Skip It for me, even if many of the scenes appeared to star "A Game" quality ladies. If you just want to check out a sampling of the scenes, go rent a copy of most of the flicks and you'll see why the editing was such a shame (there were some golden scenes here in their original form) and the lack of advertised features on the DVD as well as the fact that there was NOTHING on the cover about these being edited scenes, made this a deal killer for me.
