Audio/Video Quality: Pole Position POV 2 was presented in an anamorphic widescreen color with an aspect ratio of 1.85:1 as shot by director Axel Braun for VCA. The lighting on the movie was fairly decent but never as bright as most gonzo titles are lit these days. The scenes all offered a choice of two camera angles, the one shot by the males and the one shot by the primary cameraman, allowing fans of the POV (point of view) style to appreciate the fantasy that they are the ones getting to score with the hotties. In all, the composition of the shots was a mixed bag since the POV skills of the men were limited and the attempt to keep them to limited exposure during the other camera angle kept the action shot at very narrow angles for the other manner they were shot. Still, it wasn't bad at all for me to enjoy. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English but the vocals had no separation and limited dynamic range; tending to be lower than I prefer to hear in most cases. The music wasn't a factor once the sex started either.

Body of Review: Axel Braun has been said to be an under recognized director in porn by several people involved in reviewing, myself included. This is meant as a compliment since it acknowledges his skill with a camera in making a porno and it's a shame that more people don't know who he is or what he's capable of providing (the big names we all know are usually great but we know what to expect of them, unlike this firebrand new guys). His latest flick is Pole Position POV 2, a set of five lengthy scenes where the ladies had basic sex scenes in a no frills manner, with two camera angles displayed in real time. You can pick from the camera the male performer is holding for a true POV or the one the other guy has to give a broader view of the action but the way they were shown allowed for a viewer to really choose (unlike some of the fake multiple angles others offer). The POV format has proven very popular with such titles as Jack's POV 2, 3 On Me POV, Pulse POV, and POV Fantasy 5 being three recent examples of titles fan are picking up in large quantities. That said, here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used and that most of them were very well done:

Scene One: Shy Love, a very cute brunette with a curvy body as enhanced by modern science, was up first with muscular Reno Nevada. There was some initial outdoors play but that gave way to him taking the camera and the two going down on one another in turns. She gave a seductively ample hummer to him and he reciprocated with some fingering before the two bumped uglies. She lubed him up and seemed to readily anticipate the action as she masturbated for him, finding the cock in her ass rather than pussy to give her a pounding screwing. The rhythm was slightly off at times and her vocals were over the top but I still sensed they were enjoying the action with each other more than a little bit. He had some minor wood problems at one point so she jerked him off repeatedly, giving fans of handjobs something of a bonus, so while it wasn't the best scene of the batch (his fault, not hers), I liked watching it a few times. Of particular note is that while it looked to be over too fast, Reno got his second wind and started banging her much better when it came to the vaginal sex, causing the scene to last a decent length although the camera movement made it look almost as if it were shot by an amateur. Lasting almost a half hour, he creamed all over her face to finish up with her giving some post coital head and laughing; saying "I got what I wanted" to him.

Scene Two: Jacy Andrews, a lean gal with ample breasts and a pretty face, was up next in a white room as she smoked a cigarette in her green top and black skirt. She spoke to the cameraman (Scott Nails), and gave a short striptease that was more like she just tossed off her clothes to get busy. I would have preferred it if she put some seductive effort into the act but an attractive naked gal is always fine by me so I won't fuss too loudly about it. Her oral was another case where she had the basics down but lacked the finesse to stand out in any meaningful manner, slobbing the knob as though it were just another job rather than enthusiastically appreciate what he offered her. I wouldn't mind her wrapping those thick lips around my cock for both pumps she'd get before I blew out my usual three drops of semen but even the titty fuck lacked spark. The ride was fair but compared to the more established names in the movie, she was a gal that just didn't live up to her own potential (I hope to see her in a scene where she does since I'm betting it'd be hot). It ended when she actively jerked him off to her mouth; providing a nice ending if nothing else special.

Scene Three: Tory Lane, a gal that really works for me due to her nasty attitude and skillful manner with a meatpipe, teased by the crappy pool table in her green lingerie with Mark Davis as the partner. After warming us up for far too short a bit of tease, she deepthroated him as if she were trying to obtain an early withdrawal from his personal sperm bank. She showed some seductive mannerisms that gave the scene extra legs; using her eyes, hands, and tongue to really enhance the mood. Tory is also one of those ladies where the more I see her in action, the more I want to see her in action, with this scene being no exception to the rule. He rode her ass as she verbally demanded more, getting a little over the top (okay, maybe a lot over the top) as she did so, pausing only for some ATM before going back to what she does best. The vaginal and titty fuck were also pretty good for her (making it very good for most in the industry) with the facial ending the scene playfully. It was a winner of a scene not only for fans but anyone that appreciates a lady in charge of her own sexual destiny.

Scene Four: Jenaveve Jolie, one of the top Latina beauties in the business these days, wore a tiny white bikini top and neon pink skirt, showed off some up camera action as she looked for her friend Eva (Angelina?) who wasn't home so she spent some time with Ben English instead. Her playfulness was even better than Tory but her sexual skill was a bit less impressive. Nonetheless, there's a reason why she has so many fans; the gal is a hotty that knows how to fuck! He fingered her and fed it to her to suck, leading to some fine masturbation action before she blew him very well. They fucked with both showing lots of energy and passion, making this a scene that rivaled (even beat in some ways) Tory's scene for me. The "nice long strokes" worked for me as much as they did for him, her breathlessness making it all the better as she impaled herself soundly. She let him jerk off the load to her face but she reclaimed an active stance to suck him off for the closing of the scene.

Scene Five: Penny Flame, the gal on the front DVD cover that I've always found just slightly silly but a true heroine of the 420 crowd, earned her place there by providing another fine scene of teasing and sexual misconduct. Penny often seems high when making porn but she seemed focused here as she showed her wares and worked over partner Denis Marti in one of her best scenes of recent weeks. I'm a fan of hers so your mileage may vary but of all the scenes, this one seemed the most like it had the viewer in mind during the sexual antics. The others (mostly) provided good performances but this one was much like her recent attempt at virtual sex (Playing With Penny Flame) in how it addressed the illusion of the viewer as the one having sex (at least in the POV angle). The sex might have been oral and vaginal only, but her abilities and desirability rest not with the circus act sex tricks others use but the way she engaged the camera as though getting off. Performing or not, she gave a solid show worth watching several times or more, depending on how much you like her.

Summary: Pole Position POV 2 had decent amounts of fuck for the buck, a solid cast of strokable ladies, and reasonably appealing technical values if not a lot of extras worth mentioning. I thought that four of the five ladies had sufficient replay value to give this one a rating of Recommended, or even better if you are as much a fan as I am, and I hope that director Axel Braun is discovered by some of you as worthy of attention given the manner in which he can often turn in a solid scene if given half a chance. While Mike John, Robby D., and Jules Jordan may not lose any sleep over the guy, I think he has the potential to give many others a run for the money given the way he sometimes experiments with the factors going into a modern porno so make it a point of looking his work up if you're in the market for decent porn.
