Extras: The best extra was the nearly 4 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. There wasn't much time to show most of the ladies or their preparations but considering how weak the rest of the extras were, this was the best of the lot. There were some trailers to other releases by the company, a photogallery, and a true double sided DVD cover as well.

Audio/Video Quality: Trombone Blown #5 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director John West for release by Python Pictures/Anarchy Films. The colors were somewhat oversaturated due to the lighting and the composition of the shots wasn't always favorable to the ladies but considering that they were all sucking ass, I doubt most of you will worry about splitting hairs this time. I've seen better use of the focus in other releases of late but in general, it came across as only slightly weaker looking than similar low budget titles. The good news was that there did not appear to be any compression artifacts. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English with lame music added in between the scenes. Some of the vocals appeared to be left off or otherwise improperly handled with varying levels throughout the show though the women typically had their mouths full so it was less of a problem than you might imagine.

Body of Review: Python Pictures/Anarchy Films has been competing against some of the larger companies in porn by addressing smaller market niches rather than compete with what everyone else is doing. While the company doesn't always succeed in this sense, at least it shows they are willing to try new things to gain an audience. Their latest release in my reviewer stack is Trombone Blown #5 by director John West. Like Volume 4, the movie focuses the action on providing ten scenes of gals blowing and rimming male partners with no reciprocal sex in return. I prefer full sex scenes with both partners giving as well as receiving but this title is designed for those of you who could care less about seeing a guy perform on a lady. Each lady provided the kind of action advertised so here's a quick look at the individual scenes by cast, noting that the men were rarely identified and that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Mysti May, one of the primary reasons I picked up this DVD for her combination of attractive looks and over the top performances, teased the camera in her gregarious manner before taking on mope squad member Kyle Stone on the limited set. Her oral was sloppy and she spit a lot, savoring the taste of cock as she made noises and practically seduced him with her fine skills. The POV camera angle was solid even if the camera did not appear to have the proper color balance, with her jerking him off as she tossed his salad handily. This was one of the longest scenes of the movie and it ended when he rubbed out a load to her mouth.

Scene Two: Vixen, a gal with bright red hair and a slinky orange dress, was up next in a scene with Seth Dickens. She followed the formula and while her oral skills weren't as pronounced as Mysti's above, I wouldn't have turned her down either. Fans of Tori Amos (the pianist/singer) will note her uncanny resemblance to the porn performer and I noticed the camera work by Jenny (at the helm of the camera much of the time in the movie) was markedly weaker. As a bonus, John West gave her an extra pop shot to the mouth though the setting was the bathroom and the lighting better.

Scene Three: Stephanie Tripp, a cute brunette wearing fishnet stockings (neon pink), was up next with Seth Dickens. After the short interview, the action cut well into the oral where she teased and sucked his ass, making me wonder why it was edited. It wasn't a bad bit of work but it was too limited to fully appreciate.

Scene Four: Amerie Dior, a black gal from New Jersey, discussed her exotic roots (being half East Indian/half Black) as she took off her clothes in the make shift set (looking really cheesy). Her partner was Don Fischer/Mickey Ray, a former director, former publicist that I haven't heard from in years (I thought he struck it big and left porn). Her oral skills weren't all that special but she fulfilled the advertised acts well enough before the facial.

Scene Five: Katalina Linda, a curvy Latina looking much like a girl next door (if you live near a strip club), was up next on the couch with Don Fischer. She went through the motions much of the time but did appear to savor the taste of man-animal (sorry, had a flashback to Battlefield Earth) by spending much of her time sucking his ass. He jerked off to finish and the load looked like he was over worked.

Scene Six: Shasta, a slightly curvy Latina with an all natural body, was up next though her interview was short with Don Fischer/Mickey Ray. Like the other scenes, the sex was well underway when she was jerking him off and licking his pucker, alternating as she saw fit in an effort to get him off. It ended when she took both drops of his semen to her mouth and waved good bye.

Scene Seven: Allie Ray, the little hotty on the front DVD cover, was the second major reason I picked up the DVD for review. She typically has a girlish demeanor that I find appealing and she poured on the energy to work with muscular John West (though it could have been Don since he showed some muscles in a few scenes). I like redheads but it was her oral skill and overstated performance that enhanced this one for me, ending with one of the larger pop shots of the movie.

Scene Eight: Carrie Ann, a cute brunette with a fleshy ass and willing mouth, was up next with Don Fischer/Mickey Ray; this time with John holding the camera. She may be a bit older than many of the others in the movie but she seemed to pick up on the stated action quickly and enjoyed it more than a little. Hailing from Las Vegas, she probably has more than a little experience making men happy with the showmanship to display it. She spent much of her time orally stimulating other parts of his anatomy (other than just the cock, balls, and asshole itself) and I'd like to see more of her in a full scene.

Scene Nine: Annie Cruz, the tiny Asian that has probably made more movies than any other gal in the cast, started off her scene with a moderately short interview on the couch dressed in her blue fishnet top, black thong, and pink & black stockings. She spent more time slobbing the knob of Don Fischer/Mickey Ray than sucking his ass but each spot was given a lot of care and attention. It was far from her best oral work but it wasn't bad to watch a time or two.

Scene Ten: Page Morgan, a gal with blonde highlights and black fishnet stockings (as well as a pink see through skirt), claimed to be from Philadelphia to John before taking care of Don Fischer/Mickey Ray with her 18 year old body. Her tongue to anus contact was light and she seemed to be in need of more concentration as to how she handled him but fans of newbies learning new tricks may like it more than I did. It showed she had some untapped potential and ended as expected.

Summary: Trombone Blown #5 was another release by director John West that may suit your purposes better than mine but I admit to picking it up because of a couple of the ladies present. I didn't like that the editing clipped out so much of the foreplay (if any existed; the scenes began midway through the oral action) or that they skipped all sorts of fun sex that could have been included as well and the technical values still needed some polishing up. Still, it had a nice selection of ladies, provided what was advertised, and despite a relative lack of extras, managed to get me to watch a couple of scenes a few times so I'm rating it as a Rent It though you should adjust this to whatever your needs are.
