Extras: The best extra on the DVD was clearly the 18.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Dic Tracy. There was a fair amount of nudity, some sex in the background, and a number of interviews as various clips of the show were displayed. I also liked the 6.5 minute Blooper Reel where the cast screwed up their extensive (for porn) lines. There was a photogallery, a couple of trailers, and some spam too but in general the extras package was kind of weak compared to other offerings of this nature.

Audio/Video Quality: Power Lines was presented in a non-anamorphic widescreen 1.85:1 color as shot by director DCypher for release under the Cal Vista label by Metro Interactive. Shot in "Hi-Def", the movie actually looked very crisp and clear in terms of the picture. The fleshtones were accurate and the level of detail provided was quite high for a Metro release but it wasn't substantially different than most mid range porn offered these days. The composition of the shots tended to favor the ladies, showing marked improvement from his last movie. The difference a few months makes, yes? The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English offering, not the surround sound bandied about online, and for the most part, it provided a standard porn experience. The vocals were easy to hear and the music was pretty good this time, showing some care as it related to the thematic elements of the movie.

Body of Review: DCypher is one of those talented newcomer directors you hear about in porn that has brought some fresh energy to his work, unlike the jaded old school peers of his that churn them out much like I do with my reviews. His latest release if the follow up to the mixed Wonderland, called Power Lines; a crime thriller involving the serial killing of a number of high end escorts with an investigative reporter (Evan Stone) and duo of detectives (Hailey Paige, Steven St. Croix) trying to figure out who is responsible. The plot was strictly generic crime drama 101 but somehow DCypher and the cast manage to pull it off with the help of some decent sex scenes worth stroking off to. Here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Holly Stevens, a blonde cutie in a tight black satin outfit, was up first as she sucked off Van Damage in bed while he held a belt around her neck. Her oral skills were in fine form and he reciprocated by eating at the Y (much to her delight I might add), leading them to an energetic little bout of bumping uglies. He did most of the work and it was strictly vaginal but I still had the impression that she enjoyed it with the scene ending in a small load to her mouth.

Scene Two: Charlotte Stokely, a curvy gal with milky white skin and a youthful appearance, was up next in a large bed with the mighty Evan Stone. He was sucking her breasts while she gyrated her hips in his lap, moving his head to her crotch to get her fully prepared for the later boning. This one had a lot more replay value for me, even though as a couple's scene.

Scene Three: Allie Sin, a little hotty with nice curves and a bit of fetish apparel, played a mistress to submissive Mike Horner in the following scene. She held tight onto his leash as he ate her out with her soon giving him a combination handjob and blowjob in return. The titty fucking could have lasted longer and I would have been happier with more/longer vaginal positions that she actively participated in but I can't deny that she was a hotty (looking much like Hailey Paige in fact). It ended when he rubbed out a load to her mouth, turning the tables on her in the role playing scenario.

Scene Four: Haley Paige, the hotty on the front DVD cover with the badge and gun, was up naked on a couch with partner Steven St. Croix in the next scene. He slowly went down on her and she responded well to his ministrations, making little noises as though she were into the sex with a man twice her age. There was some foot fetish before she aggressively blew him, savoring the taste as she deepthroated him and licked his entire shaft. His penis may be one of the smaller ones in porn but from the looks of it, she found it mighty tasty and that added to the fun as she orally worked him over. The oral led, of course, to the two of them screwing vaginally like happy little bunnies but like the other scenes, they only did a few positions before he blew his modest load on her abdomen. Still, I sensed that they had some chemistry together that enhanced the scene for me.

Scene Five: Nicole Sheridan, playing the hottest EMT in town, was up last as she had the final sex scenes with real life lover Voodoo. They stripped off their uniforms in the back of the ambulance and couldn't keep their hands off one another, leading her to slob his knob in the admittedly less than romantic setting before she started impaling herself on his rigid cock vaginally. This couple has always shown a lot of chemistry and this scene was no exception, right down to his dousing pop shot (all over her face and upper chest).

Summary: Power Lines was a lot like Wicked Pictures' The Visitors in how the sex was typically short and sweet but the story elements handled decently enough to convey the plot forward. I have to admit that I liked it a lot better than Devan's last outing and I rated it as Recommended as a result. In short, the levels of fuck for the buck, the attractive cast, and a winning sense of direction turned what could have been a generic porn feature into a replayable little outing so if you get the chance, pick up a copy of Power Lines.
