Extras: The best extra for me was the 25 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. If you ever want an insider's look at a Zero Tolerance release, check out there BTS for some insider information. Seeing Mike in charge yet again was cool and his musings about the company's original motto (which I was chastised about adding into my reviews by certain people when it was apparent that there weren't many people in porn that could live up to it). Mike deserves to win awards for his BTS work but I like his movies even more). There was also a cumshot loop, a photogallery, and a number of trailers to movies like Double Decker Sandwich, Who's Your Daddy?, Big Rack Attack, Drive Thru, Virgin Surgeon, Gaper Maker, and Fine Ass Babes.

Audio/Video Quality: Grand Theft Anal 9 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as shot by Mike Quasar for director Wendi Knight to be released by Zero Tolerance. The lighting was good, limiting the grain and video noise, but the colors looked darker and more saturated than I've seen from the company in a long time. The picture wasn't always perfect but the composition of the shots was as solid as I remember Mike providing in the past, always enhancing the look of the ladies in their scenes substantially. There were no compression artifacts observed and the overall visual quality was pretty good, as expected. The audio registered on my receiver as 2.0 Dolby Digital but the vocals varied a fair amount in terms of loudness and the music ended after the scenes truly began. I didn't notice anything that would give your home theatres a work out but the audio properties did not detract from the experience. Fans of Spanish can listen to the secondary audio track in that language too; I found it to be an okay dub though only spot checked it.

Body of Review: Mike Quasar is to Zero Tolerance as Robby D. is to Digital Playground; their super weapon in terms of directing, camerawork, or handling just about any technical capacity called upon to make others look good. His track record there and at Metro were sufficient to give him a lot of recognition when the DVD format and internet became so popular, whereas he would have otherwise stayed relatively anonymous (still happily collecting a check and taking care of Critter but left out of the limelight). Well, in his usual capacity for the company, he now provides us with Grand Theft Anal 9, the latest in the series of hardcore anal action he has worked on for the last several years. Given the cast listing on the cover, I think many fans will have already picked up a copy but here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting no condoms were used:

Scene One: Jenna Haze, the lean little cutie on the front DVD cover and one of the seven wonders of the porn world to hear her fans speak of her, was up first in the checkered outfit that hugged her figure of so well. She was in the game room and teasing while atop the pool table, masturbating with an anal plug quite easily before she was partnered up with studly Tommy Gunn. Scene Two: Aurora Snow, in a sexy little pink bikini and fishnet stockings, was up next as she toyed with the camera and a dildo at the same time on a couch. Summary: Grand Theft Anal 9 was attributed to director Wendi Knight and while I don't recall seeing her in a single frame of footage in the lengthy BTS feature, she gets the kudos and jeers for the various aspects of the production. The technical matter of the dark tint and over saturation was a bit of a pain, and the lack of the advertised strip tease extra sucked but the overall level of fuck for the buck merited a rating of at least a Recommended despite these issues. Jenna Haze and Aurora Snow have such large followings of fans that the production should be a success based strictly on their scenes alone but as good as Aurora was, some of the others provided equally heated scenes in my estimation. In short, Grand Theft Anal 9 was another feather in the cap of Mike more than anyone else but all of the ladies provided reason to pick up a copy for your personal pleasure.
