Extras: For most sentient beings, the 27 minute long Bonus Scene from Exxxtasy Island will be the preferred extra on the DVD. It was a full scene, handled in erotic fashion, and as a frequent extra on the company's DVD's, I'm getting used to it. The best extra on the disc other than that was the 21 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by MacDaddy & Steven Steelberg; well worth checking out (better than some of the scenes for fans of the five gals giving interviews). The emphasis was on the ladies providing interview material and not the usual sex, nudity, and on-set hijinx but it wasn't a bad way to spend some time. There was a decent photogallery, a true double sided DVD cover, and a set of 10 trailers to movies from both companies (5 each).

Audio/Video Quality: Lip Lock My Cock 1 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by directors Astrux and Richard Montford for 1st Strike, a subsidiary of Nectar Entertainment. The lighting for the scenes was generally decent and this kept the picture looking pretty good in most of the scenes. The grain wasn't bad, nor was the video noise, and I saw no compression artifacts to speak of. The composition of the shots almost always tended to favor the ladies and enhance their looks, though there were some parts that could've been edited better to pace the scenes more evenly. The 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo audio was about average but most of the time, the scenes looked to be edited from longer scenes and the trimmed action replaced by jarring edits.

Body of Review: 1st Strike has been the subsidiary of Nectar Entertainment for as long as I can remember, providing the company with a hardcore outlet to complement the erotic material Nectar offers up. As such, when I see their logo on a title, I know basically what to expect in terms of the level of action, something nestled between Nectar's couples fare and the circus act stunts of companies like Red Light District. Well, it's not usually the case that I write about their titles so narrowly defined to provide a single form of action but today's review reminded me of Jules Jordan's Feeding Frenzy 8 given the focus on blowjobs only in Lip Lock My Cock 1. The reason I picked up the DVD to review was because it had some of my favorite performers, including Mysti May, Hillary Scott, and Sunny Lane (among others) and I soon sensed something not quite right when watching the blowjobs. Given that my memory is considered pretty good, I spent a LOT of time investigating after the first scene of the movie had a pairing very familiar to me consisting of Hillary Scott and Richard Raymond/Kline.

Okay, given the limited number of performers in porn, most of us have seen many scenes using the same partners but this one invoked memories going deeper and more specific imagery so I dug through my collection to find my copy of I Lost My Cock In Hillary Scott that I reviewed a couple of months (and a great many titles) ago. I checked out the scene between the two and found her to be wearing the same outfit, using the same nail polish, and the two sitting on the same couch with the same pillows in the same spot. I wondered whether this could all be coincidence until I thought I saw a make up smudge on her that was also the same (pretty good on my part, huh? Next thing, I'll be helping OJ find his wife's killer in his house while he's there…). Now, my first instinct was to think they simply edited down the original scene and sucker my friends at Nectar/1st Strike (Sean has always been nice to me) but I watched the scenes several times and came to the conclusion that they were certainly filmed on the same day, at the same time, with the same crew on the same equipment but possibly using the deleted footage.

I then noticed similar pairings elsewhere from the two movies and a third movie that I had watched awhile back. In each case, the similarities were impressive and made me wonder if this was done deliberately to save money, as an after thought to give fans something different, or to cheat my pal Sean. Empire listed the DVD as a compilation and some of the pairings weren't immediately recognizable to me so I chalked it all up to an interesting ploy given that the DVD said nothing about it being a compilation, nor did the company website. I mention all of this because loyal fans of the cast, and I have already stated some of my favorites above, are very likely to buy more than one title a performer is in. If they aren't told that a scene is a compilation from another title that they may have, they could feel cheated, especially if there appeared to be an attempt to use discarded footage to sell a scene twice.

I went through other movies by the primary director, Astrux, like Big Trouble In Little Vagina but I didn't see the same set of people in the same surroundings so I figured some of the scenes are either unique or to unreleased titles yet to come our way. That said, if you haven't seen any of the other titles that may have been used in some manner to provide the footage for the show, by all means enjoy the action. Each hummer was similar in nature without any real tease, other sex acts (outside of a titty fuck or two) and of the fifteen blowjobs in the movie, only the fourteenth, the one where busty Alexis Silver and petite Lil Baby slobbed the knob of studly Julius Ceazher, varied in any major way by having two gals on one guy. All the other pairings are listed in order above (I saw a few listings online that had them out of order and none of them made an attempt to get the men right; my apologies if a couple of the men are mixed up even though I'm certain of 95% of the unlisted by scene cast).

Some of the ladies were better than others in these short segments but in general, the cast seemed to be doing the oral as part of larger and fuller scenes so the energy wasn't all spent on the oral as in other blowjob only movies like the aforementioned Feeding Frenzy 8. If you like the pairings and want to see an oral only movie but haven't bought a lot of titles from the company, you could do worse then this one but it really didn't suit me too much given the circumstances and that lowered the value for me. I wanted to be fair however and point all of this out rather than state everything as a fact, noting that it is my opinion that the scenes would warrant a rating of Rent It under optimal circumstances for slavering fanboys of the ladies in the movie.

Okay, I checked with the head man himself and he told me the following:
"All of our Blow Job Films such as the Blow Pop and Lip Lock My Cock Series are NEW footage. We use a different camera and lighting crew. We do shoot on the same sets as other 1st Strike movies such as "I lost my cock in Hillary Scott." We produce and direct everything in house. I have my thumb print on all of the 1st Strike and Nectar Films. Whether we are shooting in Rio De Janiero, Easter Europe or in Chatsworth, we oversee EVERYTHING."
That being the case, my initial fears were allayed and it appears that the pairings that I recognized probably did take place at the same time on the same sets, etc., but were shot either before or after the other scenes (explaining why some in each showed the cast a bit tired, and/or letting loose smaller pop shots). While it didn't change my rating, it did explain some things and I have to give credit to the company for stepping up to the plate to explain something when so many of their competitors would simply ignore the matter and sucker folks all day long. Yay 1st Strike!

Summary: Lip Lock My Cock 1 by 1st Strike was truthfully advertised as having 15 all new scenes by the listed cast (I sure wish they'd list their scenes by cast identity though to make things easier for me) and not being a compilation as Empire and a few others seemed to believe. There was a fair amount of suck for the buck and with so many fans demanding this kind of thing; I can see why the company offers it up like this. My personal preference is to still have more tease and last a full two hours or more with all unique extras (which are factors that would need to be in place for higher ratings) so take my comments with a grain or so of salt when looking to find a blowjob movie for your personal viewing pleasure. In short, Lip Lock My Cock 1 had 16 lovely ladies from all sorts of backgrounds sucking off a guy to completion, leaving all the other sex acts behind to emphasize the hummer.
