Extra's: There were a number of solid extras on the DVD with my favorite being the 26 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. There was extra footage of the cast, more sex, lots of funny bits, and some photoshoots and even a cameo by the world renowned Gram Ponante (whispering so low that I couldn't make out what he said). Most of you will appreciate the four unrelated bonus scenes (I outlined three of them below; for $2 Bill, Groupie, and The End Game; three of my favorite releases from Vivid in the past). There were some interesting trailers, a few photogalleries, some spam, a positions room, and a true double sided DVD cover. Given the length of the movie itself, this was a solid set of extras that most of you will enjoy.

Audio/Video Quality: Lux's Life was presented in the same 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen color it was shot in by director B. Skow for Vivid Entertainment. The lighting was decent or better and that minimized the grain and other flaws for the most part. The best part of the picture, aside from the attractive women of course, was the creative composition of the shots used throughout the movie's seven scenes. Each seemed to enhance the gals best attributes and there didn't seem to be too much time spent on any specific type of shot (some directors love close ups, other get into weird positions, and still others pay no attention at all to such considerations by Skow apparently did his homework again). There were no compression artifacts and I liked the picture as part of Vivid's push to improve of late. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English but most of the time; the audio was simply a series of generic musical scores. I thought some of them were too loud and others fairly decent but this is an area in need of more work in my opinion.

Body of Review: One of the questions I field pretty regularly is how Vivid Entertainment scores so many hot contract gals. To be honest with you, I have several theories but never get an answer that I can live with since an independent can make so much more on her own. Still, in recent years, this has led to the company picking out some of the most premium pussy you'll find in porn, several of which have cast the stereotypes aside and shown the world what the New Vivid contract performer is like. One case in point is Lux Kassidy; the company's latest contract gal. She's only been in one scene prior to the contract and gets showcased in Lux's Life on her first outing at Vivid. The movie is a slice of life type production where Lux plays herself as she routinely talks to the camera on the set of her movie. She was in numerous scenes and there was a ton of footage of her that wasn't sex related, making it a dedicated effort on her behalf. While she only does women at this point in time, she's beautiful, sexually appealing, and has great fun providing the kind of passionate lesbian scene that Vivid has been known for in their sorted past. That said, here's a brief look at the scenes, noting that NO condoms were used and the movie took a documentary (almost mockumentary) approach to the movie:

Scene One: Lux Kassidy, the hotty on the front DVD cover, was up first in a solo masturbation scene that showed her talents off better than probably any other scene in the movie. She had the freshness that comes from inexperience in front of a camera (her only other scene to date was in Made In The USA and it was almost a background scene), the looks to pull off a solo scene, and an appeal that went beyond mere physical beauty alone. It had some rough edges but that added to the stroke factor of the short scene that began with a short interview as she toured the set. In all then, it was a good way to begin the show.

Scene Two: Samantha Ryan, a very attractive gal with an all natural body and the beautiful Lux Kassidy were then up in a bedroom lesbian scene. The ladies spent a lot of time working each other over; seeming to get off at least a few times as they slowly seduced one another. They did a lot of teasing, plenty of licking and fingering, and used some great toys to keep each other on edge. This was one of the longest such scenes from Vivid that I've seen to date and it was one of the best not just in quantity but also in quality for making the ladies look like they were totally into each other the whole time. While I'm generally singing the praises of Lux, I have to admit that Samantha was in top form as well with the hotty providing just as much reason to repeatedly check out the scene.

Scene Three: Sara Stone, a cute gal with huge breasts and a few extra pounds with pretty eyes, played at being the assistant to dumb old Nick (who treated her like crap as part of the role). She carried his luggage and Marcus' too but it was Trent Tesoro as the behind the scenes cameraman that got his knob slobbed in POV fashion. I would have liked to see some titty fucking but she has long been established as an oral queen and she didn't let Trent (or me) down with her virtuoso skills with a meat pipe. There was some funny dialogue where Nick got shot down by Lux (go Lux!) but Sara's tease and hummer were short and sweet; well worth checking out.

Scene Four: Chloe Dior, a blonde bombshell with a wanton way about her, was up next as she took care of verbally abusive Marcus London and Nick Manning in the living room. The oral was a marked decline from Sara's scene but she was skilled in riding meat poles with her aggressive style that had her bouncing on cock and taking anything they could throw at her with lots of dirty talk too. Scene Seven: Lux Kassidy and Samantha Ryan, together again in a wished for rematch, had a silly scene with Samantha's boyfriend Kurt Lockwood as they played through a scenario making fun of the pizza delivery boy routine. Okay, I could be mean and say how appropriate the scene was for the guy but he was pretty funny in the role, even if he purposely over played it. The idea was that the ladies would kiss and touch each other if he'd do goofy tricks in the nude. Ultimately, this led to Samantha doing him in a full fledged manner while Lux left the scene (just after the boom mike fell into view) to eat the pizza. Say what you will about Kurt but he had a lot of chemistry with Samantha and the two attacked one another orally as though they were still on their honeymoon. This led to a moderately active ride, a modest pop shot and the close of the movie. Like all the other scenes, it was very well done and had lots of replay value for me.

Bonus Scene 1: $2 Bill: "Lanny Barby, the hotty on the front DVD cover and well known Canadian beauty, was up first as she provided a private dance for the mighty Evan Stone inside a strip club's VIP room. Her teasing gyrations on the metal pool, the way she gave him those sultry looks and the generally seductive manner she employed all enhanced the preliminaries here before she orally attacked his penis with her loving mouth on the purple velour couch. Bonus Scene 2: Groupie: "Tawny Roberts, the lean little blondie on the front DVD cover, was up next with the mighty Evan Stone on a red couch. She had a different outfit on than she wore on the cover, this time sporting a black top, tiny blue jean skirt and fishnet stockings (typically called "slutware"). The point of this scene was to establish Evan (as the lead singer of the group) as the kind of down and dirty type to win the bet. To do so, he went right to tapping her fine little pussy (albeit with a condom) before she whipped off the condom for some very warm head. She's grown more talented orally since I last saw her and this aspect of the scene was fun to watch but some of you will inevitably prefer the anal that came afterwards. Summary: Lux's Life was a near perfect showcase for new contract gal Lux Kassidy and with the levels of fuck for the buck, high end production values, and sheer fun alone, it merited a rating of Highly Recommended. The replay value, strokability, and sweet extras sure didn't hurt either but this was definitely a title that should be kept in mind for those who like beauty mixed in with a passion for pussy. In short, Lux's Life made a believer out of me that Lux and Vivid have a lot of potential together if the company decides to mold her into the next porn success story. Good job on the movie and on the DVD!
