Extra's: The extras included a true double sided DVD cover, a photogallery, and a 28 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. To be fair, the BTS feature was really well made with a similar sense of style as used in the movie itself, complete with music and rapid paced editing and special effects. If any of the gals was short changed in terms of camera time here, I didn't notice it although there was largely photoshoots and clips from the movie used to flesh it out.

Audio/Video Quality: Deep In Style was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio non-anamorphic full frame color it was shot in by director Laurent Sky (AKA: Richard Hamilton) for Sky World Productions as distributed by Club Jenna and Vivid Entertainment. If you've seen any of the stylish Taboo series, you'll know exactly what the director likes to display but this was a substantially different style of movie with him using a series of relatively barren rooms and greatly cutting back on the effects. The movie therefore looked much better than any of his previous works in terms of lighting, limited grain, and effects but the style was still a bit more than I was hoping to see. The 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo audio track included a lot of droning music but the vocals were ramped up to a more dominant spot this time, elevating the heat and chemistry for my tastes, effectively making it a solid compromise from his previous efforts as a result.

Body of Review: Laurent Sky has long struck me as a director all too willing to employ visual effects for a sense of style that reminds me of a rave party (all flash and little substance) but he has also proven to be able to transcend these leanings when forced to adapt. His latest release by the folks at Club Jenna is Deep In Style, where he tried to offer something of a compromise for those of us that enjoy effects like condiments on a good meal; sparingly. The back DVD cover said it like this: "Camera, lights, glamour, sex! Once again, director Laurent Sky expands our mind as he raises the bar with his latest work of art "Deep In Style." A fitting follow-up to the rave reviews and five stars he received from AVN for his two previous masterpieces Raw Desire and Porno Revolution. It's a special brand of razzle-dazzle like nothing in adult. Hardcore sex and fashion combine to form another vision altogether in new realms of beauty, lust and unforgettable sexual imagery. So get ready for the ride of your life as you go "DEEP IN STYLE," into fashion and porn. Die-hard Sky World Fans, this movie is rated 100% SKY STYLE." In all, I wanted more sex and extras but this was a superior effort on the part of the director so I was willing to accept it as transitional to his potential. That said, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used and that it was largely shot a couple of years ago:

Scene One: Dillan Lauren, a hardcore gonzo gal in porn for some time now, was up first as she teased the camera in her black bikini on a desolate set full of dead trees and other wood provided by Jerry. She aggressively attacked his penis orally with her mouth, showing the kind of unrestrained energy that most guys like in porn from my experience. For most of the scene, she was lost in the action although she did pay the camera some mind by spitting at it here and there. After the blowjob, she impaled her tight pussy on his rod as though it was sending chills down her spine, and I was pleasantly surprised that the weird lighting and visual effects from previous movies by the director were absent. The scene ended with him rubbing out a moderate load to her willing face as she gave him some post coital sucking for good measure. In all, it was a very strokable scene with good replay value for me.

Scene Two: Charmane Star, a lean Asian hotty with the word SEX tattooed on her upper chest (as displayed on the lower right hand corner of the front DVD cover), was up next as she actively sucked off Travis Knight. The sterile setting provided a marked contrast to his airbrushed, post nuclear holocaustic look, but she was clearly the driving force of the scene as she worked him over so heatedly. He also went down on her but that didn't last long as she was seriously in need of some screwing, a fact emphasized by her admittedly limited vocals. I wish she had been given a chance to ride him from cowgirl but she still displayed a sense of chemistry with him, even after he spewed on the large belt buckle for her to tongue clean.

Scene Three: Sophia Santi/Natalia Cruze, in what I've been led to believe is her first scene ever (and just now being released), was up with hotty Jesse Capelli. Jesse is the gal on the left and upper part of the front DVD cover and Sophia is the babe in the middle but each contributed something to this lesbian scene. They used tongues, fingers, and toys with former Penthouse Pet Sophia providing the lion's share of the action (and it didn't hurt that she wanted her hair pulled). Both gals were very physically appealing and seemingly into the action, though I'll be the first to admit that they were a little rough around the edges in the performance.

Scene Four: Melissa Lauren, looking slightly different than I've seen her in the past, was up next wearing what appeared to be a wig as she orally attacked both Talon and Sascha. She was talking dirty and seemed to be in a virtual contest with the men, especially Talon, as she worked them in an alternating style with hand and mouth. She did acknowledge the camera but for most of the scene she was truly concentrating on the sex as she turned to taking their meat pipes in both her pussy and ass. Fans will appreciate that she was always an active rider of cock and never slowed down; regardless of which hole was being tapped. For their part, the men were driven by her skill level to really plug away on her, with the camera always emphasizing her over them. It ended when she sucked their cocks clean (ATM, PTM) and they bathed her with semen, providing a very solid scene in terms of sexual heat and energy.

Scene Five: Boo D. Licious, a curvy brunette that I have many fond memories of, was up last in a science laboratory (or at least warehouse) setting as she took on Frank Gunn. Unlike most of the other gals, she spent most of the time looking at the camera (and there were a few points where the crew seemed to be talking to her) but she continued her oral onslaught of his rod throughout the initial portions of the scene very capably. The two engaged in vaginal sex and she showed a fair amount of active riding skills, though markedly less than some of her peers in the flick, with the ending result being that she sucked out a load onto the large orange emergency light, licking little of the semen off as a result. It wasn't her best work and it served as the weakest scene of the movie but it still had some nice stroke value for me nonetheless.

Summary: Deep In Style was far better than the oft-touted Raw Desire and Porno Revolution in terms of people having sex and enjoying themselves as well as limiting the amount of "style" employed in the name of providing something original and creative. The cast was top notch, the ability to skip the non-sex parts as a menu choice, and the very appealing BTS extra all gave me enough ammunition to elevate the rating to a Recommended even though the movie wasn't as lengthy or sexually diverse as I might have otherwise wanted. The bottom line about Deep In Style was that the roll Club Jenna has been on continued unabated, with director Laurent Sky showing the world that he can indeed offer "style" AND substance without the need to sacrifice either in his porn. It was amusing to hear hostess McKenzie Lee make numerous comments about style too but I'll let you check them out for yourselves since I agreed with almost all of them (even if they were a bit tongue in cheek).
