Extra's: There were a number of solid extras on the DVD with my favorite being the 23.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. The majority of the time was spent with Cassidey (a wise choice) but some of the rest of the cast were given some time too. There was extra footage of the cast, more sex, a few funny bits, and some photoshoots. Most of you will appreciate the five unrelated bonus scenes (I outlined three of them below; for $2 Bill and Wife Swappers; with the others being Blue Collar, ECU: Lexie, and Mind Games; starring Lanny Barby & Evan Stone, Monique Alexander & Trent Tesoro, Lacie Heart, Jerry, and Ben English, Lexie Marie & Evan Stone, and Sky & TT Boy respectively). There were no interesting trailers to movies like Open Set or Star (if there were, something went wrong with the DVD mastering process since pressing the button yielded no results on the DVD, a biography for Cassidey, a few photogalleries, some spam, a positions room, and a true double sided DVD cover. Given the length of the movie itself, this was a pretty solid set of extras that most of you will enjoy.

Audio/Video Quality: Sexy Young Thing was presented in 1.85:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot in HD by director Paul Thomas for release by Vivid Entertainment. The lighting was generally decent in all but one of the scenes and that helped minimize the grain and video noise but the camera work was very inconsistent with numerous times when the camera looked like they were on a boat. The editing was well done as it helped cut this down to a minimum but there was no doubt that someone wasn't performing up to spec. The composition of the shots was decent in how it enhanced the look of the ladies, who all looked fine to begin with. The biggest problem with the visuals was how Cassidey continued to get in the way on scenes that weren't hers, even walking in front of the camera while they were going at it all too often. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English stereo with minimal separation and guerilla porn shoot amount of dynamic range. The vocals were always dominant and the generic music not too offensive but the ladies could have employed more dirty talk in my opinion.

Body of Review: Paul Thomas has long been the main director at Vivid Entertainment; typically getting first shot at all the special projects they commission. The latest of these was the comeback of former starlet Cassidey in her first movie in some time, called Sexy Young Thing, described on the front DVD cover as: "Announcing the return of Cassidey. Her boy/girl comeback! A Paul Thomas high definition video. Paul Thomas presents "Sexy Young Thing", the return of Cassidey in her first boy/girl role in years! And guess what... she's so excited to be back, she SQUIRTS! In this scorching hot, now-and-then interview-style feature, we learn why she left... and more importantly, why she came back! And we welcome her back in style. It's Paul Thomas's "Sexy Young Thing", a high definition video... that's the definition of hot!" I liked a lot of what took place here so here's a brief breakdown of the action by cast and action, noting that some condoms were used:

Scene One: Tiffany Taylor, a very pretty brunette with stunning eyes and a firm, lean body, was up first as Cassidey directed her and TJ Cummings on the couch. To be fair, the couple seemed to be ignoring her as they kissed and rubbed one another with each of them seemingly turned on before giving the other head. Tiffany was definitely beaming as she was receiving his oral attention and her blowjob showed more than a little skill too. Cassidey did some spanking and spitting as she pranced about the living room with her assisting manner, Jay looking annoyed at times when he wanted to start banging his partner. For enthusiasm alone, the scene deserved a nod but it was performed nicely with the pop shot rubbed out on both ladies asses.

Scene Two: Cassidey, the hotty on the front DVD cover, was up next in the luxurious master bathroom with Ben English. They seemed lost in the moment with the camera typically taking a voyeuristic look at them compared to the open gonzoesque manner the last scene was in. Ben loved the taste of her ass but I actually liked how they were lost in the moment during the preliminary foreplay. Her oral skills did appear a bit rusty but Ben took to throatfucking her with some energy and she responded like remembering how to ride a bike. Her eye contact was superior, her hand to gland act well played, and her inhalation ability all combined to help balance out the limited depth that she took him in orally though with her clearly wanting him inside her pussy. They actively rode in several positions with the scene lasting a superior amount of time (as did the last one surprisingly enough) before he popped his load onto her lower abdomen. In some ways, she reminded me of a younger, cuter version of Nikita Denise (except for no anal sex in the scene) but it was a good comeback scene with fine replay and stroke value.

Scene Three: Staci Thorn, a curvy blonde with some decent implants (through the belly button; ouch!), was up next in the kitchen as she cooked and Jay Huntington ate her out. They were doing just fine until Cassidey showed up to play her usual Howard Cosell commentator act to gain some attention ("the eggs are fine by the way" as Staci was slobbing Jay's knob). Bonus Scene: ECU: Lexie: "Lexie Marie, the cute gal with blonde highlights from the front DVD cover, was up first in an empty room (except for her small chair) with red walls, wearing a black fishnet top with light blue straps. She began with a short interview about being in porn for only eight months and needing to overcome her fear of working with men. Her partner was the mighty Evan Stone, arguably one of the top studs in the jizz biz at this time. Summary: Sexy Young Thing wasn't the biggest or best movie by director Paul Thomas this year and I have to hand it to Vivid Entertainment for re-signing a lady that a lot of fans wanted to make a comeback. The technical matters may have been a bit off at times but the raw energy and amount of Cassidey onscreen throughout the flick will undoubtedly work for her fans. Otherwise, the amount of fuck for the buck, sexual passion & energy, stroke value and replay, all earned Sexy Young Thing a rating of Recommended or better, largely depending on what you're looking for. The cast was top notch in terms of looks too and I hope that a few of the bugs get worked out of Paul's future HD offerings since this one seemed to rely on the gimmick of Cassidey's involvement a little too much, especially considering how well versed the others were by comparison.
